Police need help in locating missing Mamelodi man
Police need help in locating Khutso Thage (23) from Mamelodi East Ext 6, who went missing on May 13.
It is unknown what he was wearing on the day of his disappearance.
Police spokesperson Penelope Khulong said Thage's disappearance was reported by his mother. She last saw him at home.
Khulong said he then left for work before travelling to Dennilton.
She said he had not returned home.
His mother said the following day, she tried to contact him to check if he had arrived in Dennilton safely, but his cellphone was off.
She also contacted neighbours in Dennilton to check if they knew of his whereabouts, but they did not.
'A few days later, the complainant received a call from an unknown woman who informed her that she had seen a picture of the victim posted on a social media site indicating that he was lost in Tembisa,' said Khulong.
She said the complainant had tried to locate the person who had posted the picture to no avail.
Police said there is no waiting period to report a person missing.
Anyone with information regarding Thage's whereabouts is requested to call Mamelodi East SAPS at 012 815 7079, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or Mahlodi Thage on 071 515 7947.
Alternatively, members of the public can send information via MYSAPSAPP.
All information will be treated as confidential, and callers may opt to remain anonymous.

Have you seen Nqobani? The Madondo family request the public's assistance to locate their loved one, Nqobani Madondo (34), who has been missing since June 17. According to information, Nqobani visited a relative in Aerorand on June 16, which is walking distance from his home, and was supposed to return home the next day. The following day, Nqobani headed home with a member of his family, who was going to work. The family member caught the bus to work, and Nqobani was supposed to go home. He hasn't been seen since. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black jeans and a black jacket. Anyone with information that could assist in locating Nqobani is urged to contact Vusi Biyela on 072 461 1280 or 066 049 2611 or report any information to their nearest police station. • The search for a missing Siyathuthuka man also continues. Meluleki Ndumiso Ncongwane has now been missing for two months‚ and his family is pleading with the public to help locate him. He was last seen on April 26. Missing: Help police find two Mamelodi residents
Police have asked people to help them locate two unrelated missing persons from Mamelodi. They are Phillemon Duke Mahlangu (63) from Mamelodi East and Thabo Paulos Phasha (37) from Skierlik informal settlement. Police spokesperson Constable Penelope Khulong said the two went missing on different dates. Mahlangu was last seen on January 14. He was wearing a brown hat and brown jacket in the last picture he was taken. Khulong said Mahlangu's son reported him missing, saying he was with his father in the Pretoria CBD the same day he went missing, as they had not seen each other in a long time. 'After picking him up, they travelled to Mamelodi East and spent the day together. When they parted ways, the victim requested the complainant to drop him off at Tshwane College. That was the last time he saw him,' said Khulong. The son said they continued speaking on the phone until February, when Mahlangu's phone began going to voicemail. He has made attempts to look for his father, but he has not been found ever since. Thabo Paulos Phasha (37) from Skierlik in Mamelodi East was last seen on June 3. His mother reported him missing. According to the information received from her, she received a call from her neighbour on June 7, indicating that she had not seen Phasha in three days. Khulong said the mother claimed she left her home on May 19 and had left the victim at their place of residence. Upon her return, she enquired with one of the neighbours if they had not seen Phasha. The neighbour informed her that she last saw him at the railway line, and that he did not seem to be in good health. Phasha was last seen wearing a black jersey, black trousers and black sandals, carrying a black laptop bag.
