Joey Chestnut will attempt to break popcorn-eating record at local Rural King

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — World champion competitive eater Joey Chestnut will be trying to beat his own-popcorn eating world record at Rural King in Terre Haute.
Chestnut, an Indiana resident and holder of over 55 eating world records, is scheduled to appear on Monday, May 26, at the South Terre Haute Rural King location. His goal? To break his own record for popcorn consumption.
On Memorial Day, anyone is invited to watch Chestnut attempt to break his own record. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the local Rural King will have food trucks, games, and entertainment for the entire family.
At 1 p.m. the record-breaking event is set to begin. Rural King will be handing out their signature popcorn for attendees to enjoy. The event will be located at the south Terre Haute right off of U.S. 41.
