Local fashion show this weekend in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — You can get a look at what styles will be in this spring season with a fashion show this Saturday, March 1. The event will be held at the Clay County Fairgrounds and is the 6th annual fashion show hosted by Tri Kappa.
After doors open at 5:30 p.m., there will be a social hour, dinner and then the fashion show. During the show, models from Clay County will feature outfits from local boutiques. Then afterwards, attendees can shop the clothes they saw in the show.

The event is also a fundraiser for Tri Kappa's philanthropic efforts.
'We get a lot of requests throughout the year for different organizations in our community that need financial support. We also provide scholarships to our Clay City and Northview seniors that apply, and we try to help out wherever we can,' said Nichole Keller, Province V Officer – Tri Kappa.
Tickets are sold at $25 a piece and can be purchased at Riddell National Bank in Brazil or by clicking here.

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It's Pride Month, and local and state officials are showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Springfield holds fourth annual Pride Parade A pride flag-raising was held in downtown Chicopee Friday afternoon. The LGBTQ+ community says Pride Month brings visibility, and the city of Chicopee has done just that by raising the pride flag each year since 2016. 'We're proud and we're thankful that we live in a city, and a state, a Commonwealth, that is as protected as it is,' said Ray Hoess-Brooks of Chicopee. Chicopee is hosting its Pride Festival on Saturday at Szot Park at noon. More Pride events will be held in western Mass. throughout the month and can be found here.
