Greater Noida gears up for Bharat Education Expo 2025
Greater Noida: The second edition of Bharat Education Expo 2025 is all set to be organised from April 24 to 26 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, officials said on Monday.
The event is being organised by India Exposition Mart Limited with support from the Uttar Pradesh government's higher education department and the Greater Noida authority.
'The initiative plays a crucial role in positioning the district as a prominent knowledge hub in the national capital region and to highlight the quality education being delivered through modern technologies,' said Manglesh Dubey, additional DM (administration), GB Nagar, at a press conference on Monday.
The 2025 edition is likely to witness participation from over 100 exhibitors representing various segments of the education sector. These will include universities, colleges, edtech startups, coaching institutes, study abroad consultants, and service providers in education loans and scholarships. Spread across 7,000 square meters, the event will feature cutting-edge technologies, world-class academic systems, and student-centric services, officials said.
Additionally, the expo will host a wide array of engaging activities and competitions such as Creathon (Ideathon, Hackathon, Startathon, Codethon), Robo Race, Robo Soccer, Drone Shows, and IT demonstrations. Interactive workshops on robotics and nature, singing competitions for students, quizzes on science, technology and business, and a special counselling zone for higher education and careers will also be part of the programme.

AI Hackathon from June 27
Guntur: The police department is conducting a national-level AI Hackathon on June 27, 28 and 29 at RVR&JC Engineering College at Chowdavaram of Guntur city. Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta inaugurated a website and promo at a programme held at the DGP office at Mangalagiri on Monday. Speaking on this occasion, the DGP said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the AI Hackathon, which aims to find AI based solutions for problems. He said the police department is inviting entries from national and international level IT companies and educational institutions. Many national and international level IT companies and educational institutions registered for participation. He made it clear that there will be no entry fee to participate in the Hackathon. The teams showcasing results will be given certificates and cash prizes. He urged AI teams, IT companies, and startups to participate in the programme and make it a success.

DGP launches website for AI Hackathon
Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta launched the website and promotional activity for the national-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hackathon to be organised by the Police Department, at the Andhra Pradesh Police headquarters in Mangalagiri, on Monday. The AI Hackathon will be conducted from June 27 to 29, at R.V.R and J.C. Engineering College in Guntur, the DGP said. Experts in AI, IT companies, startup firms, universities and other educational institutes from different countries and States are expected to participate in the hackathon. A few participants and teams enrolled their names and confirmed their participation, the DGP said. The A.P. police will present cash awards, besides awarding certificates to the best projects. The hackathon will help the police to improve AI and render better services to the public, Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta said. He appealed to the AI experts, researchers and students to participate in the hackathon and make the three-day event a grand success. Officers of various wings in the DGP office participated.

Three teams emerged victorious, showcasing groundbreaking solutions. The winning team from the International Institute of Information Technology secured ₹50,000 for their AI-driven platform that enables smart job matching, helping the people of Chhattisgarh find jobs aligned with their skill sets. The first runner-up, Government Engineering College, won ₹40,000 for their initiative, CASH (Chhattisgarh Agri-Tech Skill Hub), aimed at empowering students to drive agricultural innovation. The second runner-up, Kalinga University, Raipur, received ₹30,000 for their AI-powered skill development program. Beyond the cash prizes, the winners gained mentorship opportunities, funding prospects, and exclusive networking sessions with industry leaders.
