Nobody's Child's new summer dresses with pockets are practical and flattering

Daily Mirror19-05-2025

When it comes to summer clothing, we're all about floaty and flattering dresses that'll keep us cool and comfortable. However if you've ever found a gorgeous dress and though 'I really wish this had pockets', then Nobody's Child's brand new collection is about to make your dreams come true.
After the brand's research revealed 75% of us wished more women's clothes had pockets (and, more importantly, pockets big enough to actually use) they launched a brand new range that does exactly that. The aptly named Dresses with Pockets collection is packed full of the brand's beloved summer silhouettes, all with handy side pockets that are actually big enough to keep your belongings in.
The new range combines style and functionality, making sure you look and feel your best whilst still being able to get the best use out of your new summer wardrobe. There's everything from long floaty midi dresses to flattering minis, as well as dresses for every occasion whether you need something for a summer wedding or are after a throw-on-and-go outfit for running errands.
Many of the pieces are already 'in demand' according to the Nobody's Child website, including this £89 Black Gingham Sleeveless Tiered Charlie Midi Dress which has sold over 50 times in the last two days. It features a stretchy shirred bodice and floaty tiered midi skirt keeping you comfortable and giving you plenty of movement, and you could just as easily pair it with heels and a raffia clutch as you could with trainers and a denim jacket.
Another great pick is the White And Blue Striped Starlight Mini Dress, which is £79 and manages to be both flattering and floaty. It has a fitted panel around the waist to accentuate your figure, with a flared mini skirt and sleeveless body, keeping you cool and breezy in the hot weather.
Some of our other favourite picks include the Beige Shell Print Nova Midi Dress which makes the perfect holiday dress thanks to its coastal print and puff sleeves, and the White Polka Dot Bandeau Felicity Midi Dress, which features detachable straps and a fitted bodice with a flowing midi skirt. Everything in the collection comes in size 4 to 18.
Elsewhere Fat Face has launched its new summer collection which is also full of flowing midi dresses and flattering fits. Meanwhile Simply Be's brand new summer range

Next £10 dress a 'game changer' for anyone who struggles in summer

With a fitted, strapless silhouette and midi length, these dresses offer the ultimate balance between minimalism and ease We've had some scorchers already this year, and summer hasn't even arrived yet. When the heat is relentless - and for me, that's basically anything above 17 degrees - I find getting dressed a real chore. As someone who adores fashion, I really struggle to find an outfit where I'm both comfortable and cool in the heat, but still look stylish - however, I might have just found the perfect solution at Next. And the best part? They're only a tenner. The high street retailer has released a three-pack of ribbed bandeau midi dresses for £30. Effortlessly cool, wallet-friendly and easy to style, frankly, they're a game changer for summer 2025. The retailer has released not one, but two colourways of its bandeau midi dress triple pack. There's a neutrals option boasting black, taupe and a black and white striped version of the dress, as well as a set that features grey, red and lime green for those who prefer to inject a little more colour into their wardrobe. With a fitted, strapless silhouette and midi length, these dresses offer the ultimate balance between minimalism and ease. Made from 95% cotton, with a little bit of stretch, they deliver a flattering, body-hugging feel while remaining breathable - a must when temperatures soar. Plus no straps means no tan lines, no fuss, and no extra heat. Coming in sizes 6-20, the ribbed cotton bandeau dresses that will carry you from a picnic in the park to rooftop drinks without breaking a sweat. As part of the deal, each one works out at £10 apiece. The only downside is that shoppers can't mix and match the dresses or buy them individually. By comparison, Primark's black bandeau mini dress - while a summer staple in its own right - retails at £14 for a single piece. It's shorter than the Next dress and is only available in two shades, and has less cotton in the composition (77%), blended with polyester. Not only does that make the Next version more cost-effective, but also arguably more versatile thanks to its added length and colour variety. It can be paired with flipflops for a day at the beach, trainers for a day exploring in the city, or dress it up with heels and a leather jacket for a balmy summer evening date night. Elsewhere, for those looking for something a little more premium for more formal occasions, the Butter Yellow Bandeau Felicity Midi Dress at Nobody's Child is a beautiful option for £89. But for everyday dressing, especially for those sensitive to the heat, Next's ribbed bandeau midi dress triple packs are a summer no-brainer. Shoppers can get both sets, bagging six dresses for £60. That's your summer wardrobe, sorted.

We Tried The Lululemon Maxi Dress Everyone's Obsessed With – And Yes, It's Worth the Hype

What's the most fashion forward dress you can wear this summer? That viral Nobody's Child polka dot dress? A celeb-approved Dôen dress? Neither, actually, if the internet is to be believed. No, it would seem that the dress of the season is a maxi from Lululemon. You might be more familiar with Lululemon as the go-to spot for buttery soft Align leggings and athleisure sets that take you from Pilates to brunch with ease, but the activewear brand evidently has a few more tricks up its sleeve. The most recent addition that's calling our attention is the brand's 2-in-1 maxi dress. Unlike most dresses we wax lyrical about, the Lululemon 2-in-1 maxi is simple and largely devoid of intricate details and trendy patterns. Yet, it more than manages to justify its £128 price tag thanks to its genius versatile design. As the name suggests, the dress can be worn two ways: as a strapless drop-waist maxi, and as a long skirt with the bodice folded over. As well as offering an easy blank canvas that can be dressed up or down with ease, the maxi dress also benefits from the brand's activewear know-how and is crafted from its signature four-way stretch, sweat-wicking and naturally breathable fabric that feels luxe while keeping you comfortable and looks good on an array of body types. ©Instagram/@christinalasekstyling 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Green I could go on and on about how effortlessly elegant and wearable the Lululemon maxi dress is, but that's no use to you without some styling guidance, and the multi-wear dress presents an array of styling options. On our Instagram feeds, influencers are sporting the strapless dress with a raffia bag and wedge heels or suede sandals for a relaxed sunny day. Of course, you could also lean into the athleisure of it all and wear the dress with a denim jacket and chunky trainers or dress it up with kitten heels and plenty of gold jewellery. As a skirt, it'll work wonders with a baby tee and elevated flip flops on holiday, while a boho blouse and cowboy boots will put you in a festival state of mind no matter if you're heading to Glastonbury or not. The Lululemon website proclaims that the dress is 'voted most versatile', and if I'm being honest, we're inclined to agree. As with most viral hits, the 2-in-1 maxi is also selling out fast, so if you manage to find your size in stock, we suggest you skip the hesitation. Trust us, this is a dress you'll be wearing multiple ways for years to come. 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Black 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Brown 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Ivory Main image credits: ©Instagram/@meg_legs @iamcarissarenee Hitanshi Kamdar is a senior commerce writer for Grazia.
