Zarigana team content with Coronation choice
Successful on three of her first four starts for Francis-Henri Graffard in the colours of the late Aga Khan, the Siyouni filly passed the post second to the Charlie Fellowes-trained Shes Perfect in the French 1000 Guineas, the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, before being promoted to first by the stewards.
Zarigana could have taken on Shes Perfect again in the French Oaks at Chantilly on Sunday, but she will instead stick to a mile on the penultimate day of the Royal meeting next week.

Nemone Routh, racing manager for the Aga Khan Studs, said: 'The trainer was very keen to run Zarigana in Ascot. We obviously did consider the Prix de Diane because I think she relaxed a lot more last time and she seems to be gaining maturity in her races, so it did become more of an option to consider the Diane for her.
'But I think Francis has trained her more to race over a mile in this first part of the season, that doesn't mean that we wouldn't stretch her out later in the year. I think he felt it was always part of the programme that he had set aside for her that she would go to Royal Ascot after the Pouliches, especially as we had other fillies for the Diane.
'Zarigana is due to have her last piece of work tomorrow (Thursday) morning. She worked last week and is in good form, so provided all goes well tomorrow, I imagine it's all systems go for Royal Ascot.'
In Zarigana's absence, the Aga Khan's team will be doubly represented in the Prix de Diane Longines, with French Guineas third Mandanaba carrying the colours of the late owner's daughter Princess Zahra and Listed scorer Cankoura also in the mix.
Routh added: 'Principally I think His Highness and Princess Zahra identify themselves as breeders who like to race their horses, and having fillies that are capable of running well in this race is one of our principal objectives of the year.
'We love to have fillies that can perform at the top level, the Prix de Diane is a race His Highness loved to have runners in and obviously he holds the record for the winning-most owner, and all of those fillies were bred by him as well.
'It's a very special race for our organisation and we're very happy to have two runners this year in the two different silks'.'

Five Club World Cup youngsters you've never heard of set to be future stars
A host of football's biggest stars are involved in the Club World Cup but it could also be a stage for a host of youngsters from smaller clubs to audition for moves to European giants From Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe to Erling Haaland, FIFA's sprawling Club World Cup will see many of the world 's best players in action. But with teams from Africa, Asia and the Americas all looking to spring a surprise against the big boys from Europe, a handful of lesser-known faces are hoping to announce themselves to a bigger audience. Here Mirror Football takes a look at five youngsters who are determined to go from diamond in the rough to household faces - from a French centre half in Salzburg to a River Plate youngster inspired by former Manchester City star Julian Alvarez. You may not have heard their names before but in a month they might be linked with every Champions League club. Luighi - Palmeiras The next star off the rank at prolific Palmeiras, big striker is expected to follow Real Madrid's Endrick and Chelsea new boy Estevao in swapping Sao Paulo for Europe. Luighi, 19, was previously linked with Arsenal but Borussia Dortmund currently appear most keen. He recently signed a new deal to 2029 that Brazilian media have said contains a £70m release clause. Joane Gadou - RB Salzburg The Red Bull empire have high hopes for Joane Gadou. French central defender, 18, signed for Salzburg last year from PSG in a £8.5m deal and became one of the first names on the Austrians' team-sheet in the second half of their league campaign. If he can keep big-name forwards such as Al Hilal's Aleksandar Mitrovic and Real Madrid's plethora of options quiet, the queue to sign him will be lengthy. Rodrigo Mora - Porto Another to have recently penned a new deal to protect his value, with a £59m price tag attached. Attacking midfielder, 18, comes into the tournament after earning a first senior international call-up - though he remained unused as Portugal won the Nations League last weekend. Began the season in Porto's B team, ended it with 10 goals and a player of the month award. Ian Subiabre - River Plate Clubmate Franco Mastantuono, 17, may be heading to Real in a £33m switch after this tournament but there is plenty of chatter around versatile forward Subiabre, 18, who models part of his game on former Man City star and River academy product Julian Alvarez. He prefers playing down the middle but can also feature on either flank. Obed Vargas - Seattle Sounders Central midfielder, 19, made his MLS debut aged 15 and has since switched allegiance from the US to Mexico. He is already being watched closely by European scouts and his club's general manager Craig Waibel said earlier this week that he has 'set off the red alarms' ahead of a likely European switch.

Liverpool agree record Florian Wirtz transfer as payment structure detailed
Liverpool have finally agreed a deal to sign Florian Wirtz in what will be a British-record deal as the Reds cough up £100m up front with more signings of their radar Liverpool will pay a British-record fee to sign Florian Wirtz this summer after a £116million deal was finally agreed with Bayer Leverkusen. They'd seen several bids rejected, but have finally enjoyed a breakthrough. The Reds led the queue for the player with Bayern Munich and Manchester City both previously keen. But in recent weeks the Premier League champions have had a free run at Wirtz and have struck a deal with the Bundesliga outfit. Arne Slot has been aggressive in attacking the transfer market and is looking to add a second Leverkusen player after already signing Jeremie Frimpong, who arrived as Trent Alexander-Arnold's replacement. Liverpool's business is unlikely to end with Wirtz and their outlay this summer could exceed £200m as they continue to eye other recruits in all areas of the squad. Here's the latest from Anfield. Structure of Wirtz deal Liverpool have committed to pay £100m guaranteed. That is more than the club has ever paid for a single player even including add-ons. However the overall cost of the deal will exceed the £115m which Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023. That shows the belief within Anfield for the ability of the Germany international both now and in the future with those who have watched him intently sure there's still huge scope for improvement for a player who had 30 goal contributions last season. It's a complex and complicated deal but that is standard nowadays for a player who is so highly-rated. The transfer window is now closed again until next week but deals can still be agreed and medicals done. The deal will be made official next week. Frankfurt issue Ekitike warning Frankfurt CEO Markus Krosche maintains the club don't need so sell Hugo Ekitike amid Premier League interest. Liverpool and Chelsea are both keen on the French frontman, who has been valued at around £85m. The Bundesliga side cashed in on Ekitike's former team-mate Omar Marmoush in January, with the forward joining Man City in a £59m deal. 'If the price isn't right, then he'll just stay with us," Krosche told Wiesbadener Kurier when discussing the player. "We don't have to sell Hugo.' Frankfurt are keen on Mainz's Jonathan Burkardt as they look to bolster their attacking ranks. The German international could join Ekitike rather than replacing him, though, with Mainz after a fee north of £25m. Wirtz role turned his head German football expert Constantin Eckner claims that Wirtz's decision to pick Liverpool over Bayern Munich is partly because he will be the main playmaker. He told BBC Sport: "What ultimately influenced his decision is that Arne Slot in particular offered Wirtz the best plan for the next couple of years, meaning Wirtz will be Liverpool's number 10 - the centrepiece. "Of course Mohamed Salah is still there, but how many more years will he play for Liverpool? His days are somewhat numbered. Then, Wirtz will be the centerpiece of the Reds attacking system."
