The National Bloc of Political Parties and Components has warned against the dangers of complacency with the Houthi militia, emphasizing that restoring state institutions and ending the coup is a national necessity that cannot be postponed.
In a meeting with UK Ambassador to Yemen, Abdul Sharif, the Bloc's Chairman, Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher, discussed recent political developments and cooperation prospects between the two countries. The Bloc called on the UK to play an active role in unifying international positions against the Houthi militia's project.
The National Bloc also urged the international community to prevent the Houthis from seizing international aid and ensure it reaches those in need. The UK Ambassador expressed her country's commitment to supporting Yemen's political process and restoring state institutions.
The meeting highlighted the importance of adhering to the three references - the Gulf Initiative, National Dialogue Conference outcomes, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions - as a foundation for a just and comprehensive political settlement.

IDF downs missile fired from Yemen in week's 6th Houthi attack

A ballistic missile launched at Israel by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen was successfully intercepted by air defenses, the military said Thursday night, in what has recently become an almost daily occurrence. The missile set off sirens shortly after 9:20 p.m. across central Israel, several West Bank settlements, and towns near Jerusalem, sending millions to bomb shelters. The attack also briefly halted the final of the Israel State Cup, held at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, where tens of thousands of soccer fans gathered to watch Hapoel Beersheba play Beitar Jerusalem. 'The performance was not stopped by security forces at the time of the alert, and the incident is being investigated,' the IDF said. There were no reports of injuries or damage in the attack, which marked the sixth time in the past week that the Houthis have fired on Israel. The Houthis took responsibility for the missile fire, claiming to have targeted Ben Gurion Airport. Earlier this month, a Houthi missile slipped through air defenses and hit the grounds of the airport, injuring six people, none of them seriously. Thursday's missile fire was the first attack since Israel, on Wednesday, carried out an airstrike in Yemen, targeting the Houthi-held Sanaa International Airport and destroying a plane that was in use by the Iran-backed terror group. A separate strike earlier this month destroyed the airport's terminal and six planes, and left craters on its runway, according to Yemeni authorities. The airfield reopened for a flight 11 days later. Also this month, the Israeli Air Force struck the Houthi-controlled Hodeida and Salif ports in Yemen in response to the Iran-backed group's repeated attacks on Israel.

Staff of Sa'ada Maternal & Child Hospital hold solidarity stand with Palestinians

Sa'ada - Saba: The female staff of Sa'ada Maternal and Child Hospital organized a solidarity stand on sunday in support of the Palestinian people, condemning the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against women and children in Gaza Strip. During the stand, participants raised banners expressing Yemeni women's solidarity with the Palestinian people, chanting slogans denouncing the brutal massacres perpetrated by the occupation entity in Gaza amid the silence and inaction of the international community. A statement issued during the stand affirmed that the Palestinian cause remains the central issue of the Islamic nation and cannot be marginalized. It emphasized that the steadfastness of the Yemeni people is an extension of the Palestinian resistance in the face of aggression. The statement reiterated full support for the Palestinian people until every inch of their land is liberated, their usurped rights are restored, and the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip is lifted. It authorized the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to take any decisions or actions in support of the oppressed in Palestine, stressing the Yemeni people's backing for all deterrent measures against the Zionist enemy.
