UAE sends over 1,000 tons of food aid to Gaza amid humanitarian crisis

The latest convoy delivered 1,039 tons of food supplies and flour as part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to support displaced Palestinians and address the worsening humanitarian crisis. The aid is intended to assist around 1.3 million people in the besieged enclave, where residents face growing shortages of essential goods after months of Israel's war. Under the same operation, the UAE has supported 31 bakeries across Gaza to ensure the continued supply of bread and basic food for families displaced by Israel's brutal war on Gaza. Despite ongoing logistical and security challenges, the UAE has pledged to sustain the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. According to WAM, the operation reflects the UAE's "longstanding and unwavering commitment" to supporting the Palestinian people. In mid-May, Israel slightly eased its blockade of Gaza after nearly three months, allowing a limited amount of humanitarian aid into the territory. Experts have warned that Gaza is at risk of famine if more aid is not brought in. UN agencies and major aid groups say Israeli restrictions, the breakdown of law and order, and widespread looting make it extremely difficult to deliver aid to millions of Palestinians in Gaza.

PFLP warns of Zionist targeting of Freedom Flotilla

Gaza – Saba: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) warned on Saturday of Zionist threats targeting international participants in the Freedom Flotilla aboard the ship "Madeleine," which is heading to the Gaza Strip in a new attempt to break the unjust and ongoing blockade imposed by the Zionist enemy. In a statement, the Front expressed its full solidarity with the international activists and solidarity activists participating in the Freedom Flotilla, stressing that their safety is the responsibility of the entire international community. It held the US administration, in particular, directly responsible if these activists were subjected to any harm or assault by Zionist enemy forces. The PFLP noted that this courageous and honorable step by international solidarity activists carries a strong and influential message in the face of the blockade, genocide, and systematic starvation to which the Palestinian people are subjected in Gaza. It considered this step by those in solidarity with the Palestinian people an open call to All free people, activists, and solidarity ships around the world should follow this approach to break the siege and expose the crimes of the Zionist enemy. With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 54,772 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 125,834 others. To date, this is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
