His 47 goal involvements set a new record for a 38-game Premier League season. If successful, Salah will become the first player to win the PFA Player of the Year award three times, after previous successes in 2017/18 and 2021/22. He has already been named FWA Footballer of the Year.
Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister is also on a shortlist dominated by midfielders. Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes are each nominated.

Even after his two tough campaigns at Old Trafford, Manchester United will want a high fee for Hojlund. Advertisement Therefore, Inter are hoping to sign the Dane on an initial loan deal. This could contain a purchase option, or an obligation to sign the player permanently under certain conditions. The Nerazzurri have been working to wear United down on the loan idea in negotiations. However, so far, the Red Devils have not yet opened up to the idea of loaning out Hojlund. Their intention is to sell the Danish international outright this summer.
