'It's Arkansas,' said Greenberg when asked about the most impressive team thus far in the tournament. "It's real simple: They were 0-5 in the SEC. They got into the tournament by playing into the tournament."

"They're the only double-digit (seed) team left. They got through Kansas, and then they got basically the King Prince in Rick Pitino and St John's. You know, the Big East champion, Big East Tournament champion. Rick Pitino on 'Jimmy Fallon', Rick Pitino on the back of 'The Post.'"
According to USA Today's Steve Berkowitz, Calipari is set to earn a $250,000 pay increase next season with the two wins.

The Razorbacks finished 8-10 in SEC play and ranked ninth in the conference. With a 22-13 record, Arkansas was viewed as one of the last four byes by Joe Lunardi's Bracketology on ESPN before Selection Sunday.
Arkansas played stifling defense against St. John's, limiting the Big East tournament champions to shooting 28% from the field and just 2-of-22 from three-point range.

NBA rumors: Heat, Rockets, Spurs named Kevin Durant's ‘preferred' trade destinations
The post NBA rumors: Heat, Rockets, Spurs named Kevin Durant's 'preferred' trade destinations appeared first on ClutchPoints. Kevin Durant has been active on the trade rumor mill as the Phoenix Suns look to retool their roster moving forward. According to ESPN's NBA insider Shams Charania, they might have their avenues. Advertisement Charania reported on Saturday that Durant's list of teams he prefers to go to include the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets. 'The Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets are 15-time All-Star Kevin Durant's preferred trade destinations out of Phoenix, sources tell ESPN. Those across the NBA have been made aware in recent days that those are the three teams that Durant would commit to long-term,' Charania wrote. 'Durant is on an expiring $54.7 million deal for 2025-26, and the Suns have made clear to six-to-eight seriously interested teams that they will make the best deal for the franchise – even outside of his preferred list of Miami, San Antonio and Houston.' What lies ahead for Kevin Durant, Suns this offseason © Dan Hamilton-Imagn Images Kevin Durant has represented the Suns since the middle of the 2022-23 season, taking them to the playoffs twice. However, their 2024-25 campaign ended in disappointment as they failed to make the postseason with a 36-46 record. Advertisement Throughout his time with the Suns, he averaged 26.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game after 145 total appearances. He had shooting splits of 52.7% from the field, including 42.7% from beyond the arc, and 84.7% from the free-throw line. Durant has shown he can still play at an elite level at age 36. However, the Suns' inability to improve their depth to surround Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have resulted in underwhelming endings for the franchise. The Heat would benefit from adding Durant on offense, having a top scorer to address their offensive struggles. San Antonio would raise their ceiling as they would form a star trio of Durant, Victor Wembanyama and De'Aaron Fox. As for the Rockets, they would have a dependable scorer to elevate their offense. They especially struggled in that area during their first-round series loss to the Golden State Warriors. There are many roads that the Suns can take to address their roster needs this offseason. It may end up with them moving on from one of the best scorers in NBA history. However, it's a decision they might have to make to start a new era of Phoenix basketball. Former NFL Player Sends Blunt Message to Browns on Shedeur Sanders
Former NFL Player Sends Blunt Message to Browns on Shedeur Sanders originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former Ohio State and NFL safety Tyvis Powell joined the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show to discuss Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns' quarterback situation. Advertisement Powell expressed strong support for Sanders, suggesting that if the Browns want a true franchise-changing quarterback, Sanders is a compelling option. He emphasized that Sanders possesses an intangible quality that draws people to him. Shedeur has a presence that inspires belief in his potential. 'If you want the guy actually can be your franchise quarterback that can change things then you go with Shedeur,' said Powell. 'It's something about the fact that people just gravitate to him.' Powell was particularly frustrated by reports that Sanders has not taken any first-team reps, despite performing well in practices. He noted that other quarterbacks have had opportunities with the starters, and found it 'ridiculous' and disrespectful that Sanders hasn't received the same chance. 'How has he not got a rep with the ones, that's inexcusable,' stated Powell. Advertisement Powell referenced praise from outlets like ESPN Cleveland, which highlighted Sanders' efficiency, noting that he reportedly throws very few incompletions and mostly touchdowns in practice. He dismissed the current depth chart as meaningless in June, emphasizing that if Sanders continues to impress, he deserves a legitimate shot with the starters. Powell criticized the coaching staff's handling of Sanders, saying it feels like they're 'playing with him,' and urged that the team give Sanders the reps he's earned based on performance, not just pedigree or position on the chart.
