Paul McCartney New York concert: Beatle adds second surprise show at Bowery Ballroom

Yahoo12-02-2025

Paul McCartney passed the audition — and he's playing again.
McCartney has announced a second show at the Bowery Ballroom for Wednesday, Feb. 12. Tickets are sold out, disappearing in about 30 minutes as they were sold only via the Bowery Ballroom box office starting at 10 a.m.
The Beatles legend played 90 minutes to about 550 fans at the packed venue on Feb. 11. That show was announced Tuesday morning.
'I feel like letting go tonight! The Bowery! New York City! Yes, I do!' said McCartney during the show, according to USA Today. He played with his touring band, plus a three-person horn section.

Full of Beatles hits (see the setlist below), the show opened with "A Hard Day's Night."
McCartney also played "Now and Then," which just won the Beatles a Grammy for Best Rock Performance. The track was composed from a John Lennon demo.
'Thank you, John,' said McCartney after the song. 'New York City. He loved it so much here. Let's hear it for John!'
Impromptu McCartney performances in New York City are rare, but not unknown. McCartney played above the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater, site of the Beatles' famous 1964 U.S. debut, in 2009. He also jammed in Grand Central Terminal to promote the release of his 'Egypt Station' in 2018.
Tickets will not be available at the door for Wednesday's show, according to McCartney's rep, and tickets for the shows are physical only.
Signs of a fake physical ticket include spelling mistakes, missing a Ticketmaster logo or watermark, or coloring that is not blue and white.
Fans were allowed to purchase only one ticket per customer. McCartney and his band took the stage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
'BOWERY! You ROCKED!' said McCartney Wednesday morning on his social media.
