JON HIS WAY OUT Fans convinced UFC have CONFIRMED Jon Jones' retirement with shock Tom Aspinall social media post
MMA fans are convinced the UFC have confirmed Jon Jones' retirement from the sport.
The former pound-for-pound king and current heavyweight champ has left fight fans on tenterhooks over the last few weeks with conflicting statements over his future.

Jones, 37, has left interim counterpart Tom Aspinall in limbo with his constant tooing and froing from the prospect of retirement.
Wigan warrior Aspinall came out this week and claimed the MMA great is "RETIRED" during an appearance on Good Guy/Bad Guy with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen.
And the UFC made the unprecedented decision to post the ESPN interview, which had a simple thumbnail including a picture of Aspinall and "he's retired" emblazoned across it, on their official YouTube channel for their 21 million subscribers to watch.
Their sharing of the video, which isn't a huge surprise given ESPN are the current owner of the promotion's North American broadcast rights, set fight fans' chins wagging.

And several of them interpreted the post as the promotion admitting Jones' fighting days are over.
One commented on the video: "The fact that the UFC is posting this is encouraging."
Another said: "You know Jones is ducking when the UFC allows this on their socials."
And another said: "The fact that the UFC uploaded this interview to their channel with this title says A LOT."

"There is definite movement of this situation coming."
One remarked: "Is this Jon's retirement announcement?"
Jon Jones Blasts UFC Rival Tom Aspinall In X-Rated Rant
Another chimed in: "To put this interview on the official channel is huge, UFC is getting tired of Jones."
The UFC's sharing of the interview is by no means an admission that Jones has opted to walk away from the sport.
It coud very well be a negotiation tactic to entice the Hall-of-Famer to take the fight, which he demanded "F**K YOU MONEY" for.
A historic unification bout between Jones and Aspinall has been on the cards since last November.
Jones' maiden defence of the heavyweight strap against Stipe Miocic at Madison Square Garden set the table for a mammoth melee with Aspinall.
But frustratingly, it's yet to come to fruition and Aspinall, who hasn't fought since last July, has been left twiddling his thumbs on the sidelines.

Inside Dua Lipa's jaw-dropping Radical Optimism Tour as pop ‘goddess' wows fans ahead of sell out Wembley shows

Bizarre gets an exclusive invitation to the singer's Holland show… and it's amazing SO DAM GREAT Inside Dua Lipa's jaw-dropping Radical Optimism Tour as pop 'goddess' wows fans ahead of sell out Wembley shows DUA LIPA is riding the crest of an enormous wave – and there's no slowing down. After the singer flew me out to Amsterdam as the first British reporter to see her in action on the 80-date Radical Optimism world tour, I'm blown away by how much she's developed as a performer. Advertisement 6 Dua gets a lift on stage during her jaw-dropping performance Credit: Getty In each country so far, including Japan, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, Dua is held up as a goddess by her fans. And in Amsterdam she gets a rapturous reception after speaking to the sell-out audience in Dutch — which is no easy task. 'Amsterdam is like a second home for us,' Dua's dad and manager Dugi tells me as we catch up over Negroni cocktails before the concert, where I congratulate him on the success of the shows so far. 'It's all for the fans,' he adds with a smile. 'We want them to come to the show and have a great time.' Advertisement It's impossible not to enjoy the two-hour set, in which Dua smashes her way through high-energy dance routines as pyrotechnics explode all around her and confetti falls from the ceiling. New tracks from her latest No1 album, including Training Season, End Of An Era and Falling Forever, go down a storm with the crowd as Dua whips into classics such as One Kiss and Be The One. By playing venues this size — more than 18,000 are at the Amsterdam show — Dua could be forgiven for putting all the focus on to her stage performance. But at every gig she goes into the audience to speak to her fans. Advertisement One sobbing boy, Mattice, can't believe his luck as Dua leans in for a hug, prompting her to joke: 'Please don't cry, we've only just started the show. It's not that bad is it?' Also among the lucky few are a couple due to marry in the next two days, and a superfan wearing a shark's head in a nod to the Radical Optimism album's artwork — with Dua saying as he takes it off: 'Oh, you're cute.' 'Shaken' Dua Lipa in terrifying security scare after fans sneak into her hotel and are found outside her bedroom Her good humour continues and after losing an impromptu game of truth or dare, she picks the latter and is asked to perform the original dance from One Kiss, which has become pop legend. Smiling for the cameras that beam her picture around the arena, Dua dutifully carries off the move and the crowd, who have been right behind her from day one, go absolutely bananas. Advertisement Back on stage, she then goes into Scared To Be Lonely in a tribute to her collaborator, DJ Martin Garrix, who is also watching in the crowd, before nailing Physical, Hallucinate and Illusion. The arena is transformed into a rave, with the audience hooked on every word, before Dua brings the focus on to her powerful vocals. 'You're cute' She makes light work of Be The One and Anything For Love — which is even more impressive given that she has spent 90 minutes going through physically demanding choreography while barely stopping for a break. The energy then fires back up to boiling point for an insanely good four-song encore of New Rules, Dance The Night, Don't Start Now and Houdini, with Dua's high- intensity just as impressive as at the start of the evening. Advertisement She has concerts in Italy and Belgium to go before she will return to the UK for two huge back-to-back shows at Wembley Stadium, on June 20 and 21, and two gigs at Anfield in Liverpool on June 24 and 25. The four dates will see her perform to more than 250,000 fans. It is an incredible comparison when you think that the first Wembley show will take place 3,000 days after her first ever live appearance in the capital, at the 250- capacity Oslo Hackney venue in East London. By the time Dua has finished the UK leg of the tour — before moving on to the US — she will have performed to almost one million people. Advertisement Rising pop stars should take note . . . Dua is living proof that you can become a superstar thanks to hard work, good grace and a bloody good voice. 6 Dua smashes her way through high-energy dance routines as pyrotechnics explode all around Credit: Getty SABRINA IN SHAWN DIG SABRINA CARPENTER has taken aim at her ex Shawn Mendes yet again in new single Manchild. Advertisement Their 2023 fling inspired much of her chart-topping album Short n' Sweet, but it is still giving her inspiration for songs, as she seemingly lays into the hunk on the track released yesterday. 6 Sabrina Carpenter took aim at her ex Shawn Mendes yet again Credit: Goff She sings: 'Half your brain just ain't there,' before adding: 'Why so sexy if so dumb? And how survive the Earth so long?' It is expected to be the first song from her next album, which is impressive given it has only been ten months since her last one came out. Advertisement When she announced the title, many fans believed it would be about actor Barry Keoghan, who she dated for a year until December. But in a caption on Instagram, she said she wrote the track shortly after completing work on Short n' Sweet, at which time she was still in love with Barry. Sabrina said: 'Not only was it fun to write, but this song became to me something I can look back on, that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life.' In another nod to Shawn, who is very close to his parents – while Barry's mum died when he was 12 – she sings: 'I choose to blame your mom.' Advertisement I doubt Mrs Mendes will be too pleased. MARIAH REVERTS TO TYPE 6 Mariah Carey has released her first track in seven years Credit: Dennis Leupold MARIAH CAREY is teaming up with visual genius Joseph Khan – the man behind her All I Want For Christmas Is You video – for new single Type Dangerous. She is preparing to film a vid to accompany the track, which came out yesterday. Advertisement It is the first she's put out in seven years and is the debut song from her upcoming 16th studio album. 'I'm so excited to finally be releasing Type Dangerous into the world,' Mariah, left, said. 'I've been locked up in the studio for quite some time working my behind off on new music, and I'm thrilled for the unveiling of it to my fans, starting with Type Dangerous.' Those going to Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard will hear her belt out the song at Wembley next Sunday, before she headlines Brighton Pride on August 2 and performs at the Sandringham Estate on August 15. OASIS ARE ROTTEN FOR JOHN 6 John Lydon won't be going to an Oasis reunion show Credit: Getty SEX PISTOLS rocker John Lydon says he's probably one of the only British music stars who'll be giving the Oasis reunion a wide berth. When I asked if he would be heading down to one of the shows, the singer, aka Johnny Rotten, told me: 'No. They're my mates but I hate their music. Advertisement 'It's very difficult for me to go to other people's gigs. People don't leave me alone and let me enjoy myself. 'I knocked it on the head a few years ago. I love dancing, you're enjoying yourself and some a***hole will stand right in front of you and waffle banal nonsense which is distracting you from the point and purpose.' Speaking to me from his tour of the UK with his band Public Image LTD, he added: 'I love Noel, because he just says it like it is. 'Him and Liam make me laugh when they do interviews because they are so witty and on it in a working class, quick-as-you can way.' Advertisement DIANA ON HIGH SEAS 6 Diana Ross's UK tour starts this month Credit: Getty DIANA ROSS is swapping arenas for the ocean waves, as godmother of Royal Caribbean's newest ship Star of the Seas. The title has been given to her as she's agreed to perform on the maiden voyage in September, when it will make its debut in Orlando. And Diana will be fresh from her UK tour, which starts this month. Advertisement The Chain Reaction singer said: 'I've always felt a deep connection to the ocean and the magic it represents – peace, adventure and awe. 'When Royal Caribbean reached out to invite me to be the godmother of Star of the Seas, I knew it was something truly special.' WELL done to the brilliant Anna Lapwood after her new album Firedove went straight to the top of the Classical Album Official Charts. The organist recorded it at Nidaros Cathedral in Norway and said: 'I'm very proud of it.'

Meghan & Harry keep cashing in by piggybacking off the royal family – it's disgusting, expert says

Despite trying to "reinvent themselves", the pair are yet to settle on a particular niche MONEY MAD Meghan & Harry keep cashing in by piggybacking off the royal family – it's disgusting, expert says MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry keep raking in money by "piggybacking off" the royal family, slammed a royal expert. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and quit the UK. Harry, alongside his wife, has continued to drag his family name through the mud, from their 2021 Orpah interview to his 2023 memoir Spare. And, the latest blow to their fractured relationship came when the Duke of Sussex dropped some extraordinary bombshells in a BBC interview last month. He filmed a rare sit-down chat after losing his appeal against the decision to remove his taxpayer-funded security. Advertisement But since turning their backs on the Royal Family, the Sussexes have also battled several stumbling blocks while trying to carve out their new identities. Meghan, 43, has this year released her latest Netflix series With Love, Meghan, in which she hosted Hollywood pals. Shortly after came the roll out of her brand As Ever, despite the company facing a series of setbacks. The mum-of-two then dropped her second podcast, Confessions Of A Female Founder. Advertisement Harry meanwhile has been busy working on his Polo documentary on Netflix, and as ever his Invictus Games. But despite trying to "reinvent themselves", the pair are yet to settle on a particular niche, experts blasted previously. I've dubbed Lilibet the 'jigsaw girl', Meghan's bizarre photos shows exactly why Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive Show, esteemed former royal correspondent Charles Rae accused the Duchess of still using the Royal Family for profit. "I've got no objections to Meghan and Harry making money," he told esteemed royal correspondent Bronte Coy. Advertisement "None whatsoever. However they want to operate now is fine. "It's their royal connections that really irritate me. And they're piggybacking off of that a great deal. 6 Meghan is also dropping weekly episodes on her new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder Credit: Meghan, Duchess of Sussex/Instagram 6 The couple have launched a barrage of attacks on the Royal Family since quitting the UK Credit: AFP Advertisement 6 The pair stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk "But I think Meghan is the one who's driving everything. "And I think she will eventually come a cropper with all this. "I mean, she says, 'I don't want to annoy the public'. Well, why not? Advertisement "She's annoyed everybody else. You know, I mean, you know, she's. she's a very annoying person in my view." But fellow expert Sarah Hewson, added: "I think it is in everyone's interest if she is able to make a success of this and make money off the back of this, because we know they've got a very expensive lifestyle, not least the security costs. "And Prince Harry just having lost that court of appeal case, it is in everyone's interest, the Royal Family included, if they are able to be self-sufficient, if they're able to build a life, Prince Harry can do his philanthropy. "Meghan can launch the business. I mean, I think that suits everybody." Advertisement Royal experts previously slammed Meghan for using her royal title on a gift card, telling her "you can't have it both ways". Meghan and Prince Harry agreed they wouldn't use their HRH titles after they broke from the royal family - but the Duchess of Sussex seemingly still uses it with her friends. But, in a recent podcast interview, a photo showed a gift basket of ice cream and strawberry sauce Meghan sent to Kern Lima a year ago. With it came a note on monogrammed paper, signed: "With the compliments of HRH the Duchess of Sussex." Advertisement Sources said that while Meghan and Harry do still have their titles, they agreed not to use them for "commercial purposes". The source said the note was a "personal gift" but the couple don't publicly use HRH. Meghan also awkwardly corrected her Hollywood pal Mindy Kaling on her cooking show. A timeline of Prince Harry's family feud IN 2018, the Sun told how "simmering tension The first hints of friction reportedly came after William was introduced to Meghan when she was staying at Kensington Palace. Once she'd returned home to Canada, William and Harry sat down for a brother-to-brother chat. He knew Harry was already head-over-heels for her but it has been claimed he advised him to take it slowly. The younger prince reportedly didn't take too kindly to the advice, with one royal source saying he "went mental". Then in June 2019 Harry and Meghan officially split off from the charity they shared with William and Kate. The Royal Foundation will be divided between the Sussexes and Cambridges as the couples focus on their own separate charitable endeavours. Prince William and Prince Harry first established the Royal Foundation in 2009 before Kate joined two years later shortly after their engagement was announced. The trio would often appear together at events and the Foundation had huge successes with projects like the Invictus Games for injured veterans and the mental health Heads Together campaign. The Royal Foundation said the decision was made following the conclusion of a review into its structure - but added both couples will continue to work together in the future. Harry and Meg were living in close proximity to Kate and Wills within the Kensington Palace estate, but they switched to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before baby Archie was born. The move further increased rumours of a fallout. Harry also hinted in his ITV documentary "Harry and Meghan, An African Journey" that he and his brother had grown apart. In 2021, Harry and Meghan give their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where Harry accused his dad of cutting him off financially. Harry then jetted back to UK to join William in unveiling a statue to their mother Princess Diana in the grounds of Kensington Palace. But sources claimed William didn't want to attend the memorial amid their ongoing rift. In 2022, just before their grandmother the Queen died, sources claimed Kate acts as a "peacemaker" between the brothers. Harry claimed his brother "knocked him to the floor" during an argument about Meghan, in his memoir. In Spare, Harry said William branded Meghan "rude" and "difficult" during a row. Harry alleged William "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor". He said he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time. In January 2024, Harry flew in to be with Charles after the monarch's shock cancer diagnosis. Harry flew back to the US the following day - without seeing Wills. Mindy said: "People wouldn't believe that Meghan Markle ate at Jack in the Box." Advertisement Meghan fired back with: "It's so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I'm Sussex now.' The late Queen Elizabeth II honoured Harry and Meghan the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their 2018 wedding. There have been calls for the couple to be stripped of the titles after blasting the royals on their Oprah Winfrey tell-all, six-part Netflix series Harry & Meghan and shock memoir Spare. The California-based pair have also attracted criticism for only visiting Sussex once when they held several engagements seven years ago. Advertisement This comes after the Sussexes were last night blasted for invading their own privacy after releasing a video of them twerking to induce labour. The mum-of-two posted a cringey hospital dance clip yesterday to celebrate daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday. It showed the former actress, heavily pregnant with their second child, making rowing movements and shimmying her shoulders beside a bed. Prince Harry also shuffles across in a hoodie to the strains of then-viral pregnancy hit The Baby Momma Dance. Advertisement Meghan shared the 80-second video with her three million followers on Instagram after earlier posting photos of her daughter. But royal expert Ingrid Seward last night said Meghan was a hypocrite as the couple regularly whine about a lack of privacy. She told The Sun: 'They can do what they like but why put it online? "Does Meghan have no boundaries? I think it's vulgar, unnecessary, attention-seeking. Advertisement 'They make such a point about privacy and security and then they put stuff out there. Meghan can't resist putting it out there. 'I think it's completely hypocritical for everything she stands for. It's very embarrassing.'

Inside Schumacher's inner circle as F1 boss reveals who ‘regularly' sees tragic star… & his shock at pal who WON'T visit

When Schumacher's head hit a boulder in the skiing accident 12 years ago, it split his helmet in two SCHUEY'S CIRCLE Inside Schumacher's inner circle as F1 boss reveals who 'regularly' sees tragic star… & his shock at pal who WON'T visit AN F1 boss has revealed insider information on Michael Schumacher's inner circle - like who "regularly" visits him and his shock at one pal who won't. Schumacher hasn't been in the public eye since a devastating skiing accident 12 years ago and is cared for by medical staff and his wife Corinna at their home in Lake Geneva. Now ex-Red Bull chief Richard Hopkins has spoken out about the star - and revealed who regularly him. He told "Jean Todt, that's well known. Jean and Michael had an extraordinarily close relationship. "I believe Luca Badoer, who is a close family friend, visits him. Advertisement "If there is a third, I don't know who that would be." But Hopkins also spoke of a pal who won't visit Schumacher - Flavio Briatore. He added: "Flavio is, as we know, a flamboyant character. I would have thought he would have probably been the first person who would have wanted to see Michael in whatever way that was. But you have to respect that decision. "That's down to the individual. Not necessarily shared by all. I know there are close friends that go and see Schumacher and that's their own choice and for their own reasons. Advertisement "But Flavio has obviously got his and it's very deep and personal how we remember people, and how we want to remember people. "I think we all have to respect that one." Michael Schumacher's Monaco Grand Prix-Winning Ferrari F2001 In 2020 Briatore's former wife Elisabetta Gregoraci claimed that: 'Michael doesn't speak, he communicates with his eyes.' Addressing this rumour, Hopkins said: "I'm not in that circle to know the absolute facts about Schumacher. Not many people are. Does he communicate through his eyes? Quite possibly. Advertisement "There is rumour he does watch Grand Prixs. But this is just speculation and perhaps unfair for anyone to make assumptions and guesses. "Any remark I make will be unqualified as well in that sense, so it's difficult to be drawn on it." In April, Schumacher signed a charity helmet belonging to fellow F1 icon Sir Jackie Stewart with help from Corinna. The helmet will be auctioned to raise money for Stewart's charity Race Against Dementia. Advertisement But Hopkins has described the signing as potentially being a "one-off". He said: "I suspect that [Jackie Stewart helmet signature] gesture was a one-off. There was a lot of media around that and maybe for the family too much media. 7 Michael Schumacher and Flavio Briatore Credit: Getty - Contributor 7 Alpine F1 Team Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore looks on in the paddock during qualifying Credit: Getty Advertisement 7 Race winner Michael Schumacher celebrates on the podium in 1994 Credit: Alamy "They try to keep everything quiet and private, so I'd hazard a guess that it was a one-off. "It was a great gesture from the family to organise that." Yilmaz Tozturkan, 53, and his son Daniel Lins, 30, had threatened to publish videos and pictures of Schumacher unless they were given £12million. Advertisement Security guard Markus Fritsche had copied the private material while working for the Schumachers and sold it to the two men. In February the trio were found guilty of their part in the blackmail plot. Fritsche was given a two-year suspended sentence, while Tozturkan was jailed for three years and Lins was given a six-month suspended prison sentence by a German court. Schumacher's wife Corinna wanted a harsher sentence for Fritsche. Advertisement She said: 'What still shocks me most is the massive breach of trust. 'He should receive a punishment for this that deters others from potentially doing the same.' When Schumacher's head hit a boulder in the skiing accident 12 years ago, it split his helmet in two. The brain injury was so serious that he spent 250 days in a coma. Advertisement The best medical treatment that money could buy brought the sporting great, who is worth £468million, back to consciousness. There had been rumours that further treatment in Paris had allowed Schumacher to take some small steps, but that was later dismissed.
