The Pixel 10 lineup could launch sooner than we think thanks to a Google hint
In 2024, Google moved up its launch date for the Pixel 9 series from the usual October window to August. This year, an invite sent to members of the Google Pixel Superfans program hints at an even earlier look at the Pixel 10 lineup.
The invite (spotted by Android Authority) was sent to the Superfans describing an event in late June where attendees will get a "sneak preview of our upcoming devices."
Google's invitation asks Superfans to apply to win one of 25 slots to attend the event in London on June 27.
The Superfans program is a free hype program set up by Google that Pixel owners can sign up for to get benefits and early news about Google's phones and wearables.
No where does the company explicitly say the "Pixel 10" but it does say the "next Pixel line" and the header image shows a Pixel phone and watch. Unless Google has a surprise Pixel device launching soon, it's likely this will be a first look at the Pixel 10 series.
As rule this year, Google has been pushing up release dates. Android 16 is also getting an earlier launch and the Pixel 9a debuted in March, way ahead of the May debut in 2024 of the Pixel 8a.
So it's not out of the realm of possibility that Google is looking at a June or July release for the Pixel 10. Still, I am inclined to think July won't see a release since that will be it in direct competition with Samsung's foldable Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones. Samsung is also expected to release OneUI 8, its Android 16-based operating system, around that time.

Google has provided sneak peeks at hardware before, showing the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at Google I/O 2022 in May, ahead of the fall launch of those two phones.
This could be another super early look for Pixel mega fans ahead of the new August launch window. We'll know a bit more closer to the end of June when the sneak preview takes place.

Those who've gained access report that the mode shows up within a new 'Personal & device safety' section in Settings. For what it's worth, even if you're running QPR1 Beta 1, and the feature has rolled out to you, it's not enabled by default. To enable it, head to Settings → Personal & device safety → Advanced Protection → and toggle on Advanced Protection. Once enabled, your device will automatically toggle on familiar features like Spam and Scam Protection, Theft Detection, Offline Device Lock, Automatic Call Screening, app screening, and more. Other features expected to make their way to the Advanced Protection Mode some time later this year include: Intrusion Logging: An after-the-fact feature that will let you revisit encrypted logs of device activity for post-intrusion analysis. USB Protection: To prevent USB device connections while your phone is locked. Disable Auto-Reconnect: To prevent your device from automatically reconnecting to a Wi-Fi network that has been deemed insecure. Google says to appeal online search antitrust ruling
Google said Saturday it will appeal a ruling against it for anti-competitive practices in online search, a day after urging a US judge to reject the suggestion it spin off its Chrome browser. "We will wait for the Court's opinion. And we still strongly believe the Court's original decision was wrong, and look forward to our eventual appeal," the tech giant wrote on X. Google was found guilty in the summer of 2024 of illegal practices to establish and maintain its monopoly in online search by a federal judge in Washington. The Justice Department is now demanding remedies that could transform the digital landscape: Google's divestiture from its Chrome browser and a ban on entering exclusivity agreements with smartphone manufacturers to install the search engine by default. It is also asking that the California-based company be forced to share the data used to produce search results on Chrome. The department's proposal "reserves the right for the government to decide who gets Google users' data. Not the Court," Google said Saturday. "While we heard a lot about how the remedies would help various well-funded competitors (w/ repeated references to Bing), we heard very little about how all this helps consumers," Google added, referring to the Microsoft-owned search engine. The firm has proposed much more limited measures, including giving phone manufacturers the possibility to pre-install its Google Play app store but not Chrome or the search engine.
