'Very unfair' - Hart on Tevez's substitution controversy
On 27 September 2011, Manchester City were 2-0 down in a Champions League group game at Bayern Munich. In a now infamous moment, Carlos Tevez appeared to refuse to warm up to be bought on, leading to City boss Roberto Mancini saying the striker was "finished" and he wanted him "out of the club".However, City's goalkeeper at the time, Joe Hart, has now reflected on the incident, saying Tevez and Mancini "were both right to an extent"."The whole drama surrounding Carlos during that Bayern Munich game I felt was very unfair," Hart told a special Football Daily episode on Tevez's legacy."Carlos did make himself available to come on the pitch, but he was asked to warm up, having already warmed up for 20 or 25 minutes, and then he was asked to warm up again to come on - and I'm pretty sure he said: 'I am warm.'"It was the first time we were losing that season and we were getting beaten by a very good Bayern Munich. Both very, very hostile characters, which was part of why they were both good at what they did. "But, at that moment, it clashed and it didn't work well because Roberto obviously repeated, 'you need to warm up to come on' and Carlos being strong-minded as he is, says, 'I don't, I am warm'."The incident appeared to be sparked by the substitution of striker Edin Dzeko in the second half, with Tevez seeming unhappy he was not called on. Minutes later, when Mancini indicated to the Argentine to warm up, Tevez refused."Mancini was very aggressive, very animated. He had a go at Edin for some reason, and then he went wild at Carlos."Both in broken English, they didn't really understand each other, and I could see Carlos trying to find out what was being said to him and when he realised what had been said to him, he felt really wronged."It was a classic case of two alpha males having a different version of the same event and neither being able to say, 'look, we both need to calm down here and just sort this out' - because they were both right to an extent."

'Valuable' or 'time to move on'
We asked for your views on Ilkay Gundogan's future, after the 34-year-old revealed that he is "happy" to remain at Manchester City next season despite links to Super Lig club are some of your comments:Tom: As much as I do love Gundo, now is the right time to refresh the squad and build on it for Pep 2.0. Gundo has done amazing things for the club but, for him and Bernardo Silva, it is the time to move on and let this new squad do the Fresh blood is very important to the team, but veteran players are of considerable value as well. The risk is long-term injuries, so if they can stay fit and motivated then they will be an Gundo will stay. He is still an amazing player and a leader. Pep knows that he will support the younger He is valuable to City in every respect. Keep him, coach him, give him other responsibilities within the football and diplomacy part of the With Bernardo Silva staying and being named as captain, the new signings coming in, the return of Rodri and Bobb and the emergence of O'Reilly, it doesn't seem necessary to keep Gundogan around. There is already so much young talent which will grow together and solidify as a cohesive unit for several years to As of today, the squad is huge and a bit embarrassing. Including a third goalkeeper, I have counted 31 players in the squad. If Gundo and Silva stay, who is leaving and who isn't in the 25-player Premier League squad?

Ex-Celtic star sees £9million bid from European giants REJECTED just 12 months after he quit Parkhead for £2.5m
FEYENOORD have had a £9million bid rejected by Genk for former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu. The South Korean star moved to Belgian football last summer in a deal reportedly worth £2.5m to the Scottish champions plus another £1 million in performance-related bonuses. 2 Oh Hyeon-gyu is a wanted man this summer Credit: Kenny Ramsay 2 The striker faced the Dutch giants in the Champions League Credit: Kenny Ramsay However, it was undisclosed whether Celtic had inserted a sell-on fee for the 24-year-old. Feyenoord are desperate to land Oh, but Genk have made it clear they have no intention of selling the 19-times capped international, who still has three years of his deal left. He was mostly used as a sub for Genk during his first season in Belgium and only made three league starts, but still scored nine goals for them. But Genk are set to sell Manchester United-linked star striker Tolu Arokodare and want to promote Oh as their main attacking threat for the new season and Feyenoord would have to substantially up their offer to have any chance of signing the player. Oh revealed last summer he felt he had to leave Celtic - where he scored 12 goals in all competitions despite only making six starts - because of the arrival of Adam Idah. He said: "I had lost my place in my national team because I was no longer playing for Celtic. "It was then I knew I had to get a transfer. "I scored 12 goals in total for Celtic, but I hardly played in the last six months. "They had brought in a new striker, someone with a different profile - a big, strong boy - and they had to find a solution for me. "I thought that was a shame at first because I really loved Celtic. It's a great club. "But when Genk came calling, I didn't hesitate. I had a few options in the English Championship, but I just wanted to come here. "When you see all the players who came through here - Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, Leandro Trossard and more. That's impressive, isn't it?"
