The Range opens its new superstore in Haverfordwest

The retailer has transformed the former Homebase location and welcomed residents and visitors to the store on Friday, April 25.
The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Councillor Jon Harvey.
The new store features The Range's popular homeware and furnishings, as well as a new gardening hub.
A key highlight is the introduction of the 'Garden Centre by Homebase', offering a selection of outdoor plants, gardening tools, and supplies.
The store also follows The Range's dog-friendly initiative, allowing well-behaved dogs on leads inside.
Shoppers were eager to be among the first to experience the store, with early queues forming outside.
The first 50 customers received goodie bags filled with more than 20 of the retailer's most-loved products.
Lucky winners at the front of the queue also took home prizes, including the Charleston 2 Burner BBQ worth £99.99 with a free cylinder and gas valued at over £70, courtesy of Calor Gas.
The second place winner walked away with the Slush Puppy Party Pack, worth £100.
Brand representatives from key suppliers, including Calor Gas, were on hand to offer expert advice, product demonstrations, and exclusive promotions and giveaways to shoppers.
The Haverfordwest store is part of a wider expansion effort, with new sites also launching in Nutgrove, Republic of Ireland, Drakehouse Park, Sheffield, and Rayleigh Weir, with more planned throughout 2025.
Alex Simpkin, CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as The Range, Wilko, and Homebase, said: "It's been an exciting day for The Range and our customers here in Haverfordwest.
"The opening of this new store marks a milestone for us, especially with the introduction of Garden Centres by Homebase – a great new offering for gardening lovers.
"We've combined Homebase's trusted expertise with the diverse range of products The Range is known for, and we can't wait for more shoppers to experience this one-stop-shop destination for home improvement and gardening."
The newly opened store also features a free Click & Collect service, allowing customers to shop either online on the Homebase or The Range websites and collect their purchases in-store within 60 minutes.

These ovens are a budget equivalent of the classic Ooni pizza ovens DOUGH DEAL The Range selling dupe of posh £559 pizza oven perfect for garden dinners & it's cheaper than Lidl's version Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MAJOR retailer is selling a budget version of a fancy outdoor pizza over that's perfect for summer garden dinners. The Range is offering the mini-ovens for a much better price than many of its competitors. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 It works with either charcoal or gas barbecues. Credit: The Range 3 It is a fair bit cheaper than the equivalent product at Lidl (pictured) Credit: Lidl As the summer months arrive, many Brits will want to enjoy a barbecue or drink outdoors to wile away the warmer weekends. But with home pizza ovens becoming increasingly popular, shops are looking to stock their own versions at increasingly competitive prices. Brands like Ooni are well known for selling solid pizza ovens - but their products can cost into several hundreds of pounds. What The Range is selling offers consumers a budget option to enjoy home baked pizza this summer. The VonHaus ovens available at The Range are selling for just £49.99. This makes them a fair bit cheaper than the equivalent pizza oven at Lidl, which is listed at £79.99. The Range's website says: "Give your gas or charcoal BBQ a new lease of life with the VonHaus barbecue pizza oven, the easy way to enjoy artisan style pizzas." To make things even easier, the ovens come fully assembled - so pizza lovers can get cooking in no time. It also has two handles and a temperature gauge. But unlike other self-standing pizza ovens, this product is designed to be placed on your barbecue. How to save money on pizza TAKEAWAY pizzas taste great but they can hit you hard on your wallet. Here are some tips on how to save on pizza: Cashback websites - TopCashback and Quidco will pay you to order your pizza through them. They're paid by retailers for every click that comes to their website from the cashback site, which eventually trickles down to you. So you'll get cashback on orders placed through them. Discount codes - Check sites like VoucherCodes for any discount codes you can use to get money off your order. Make you own topping - One savvy customer noticed that Domino's charges up to 70p MORE for pizzas on its menu compared to ordering the same one through the "create your own" option. It's worth trying out to see if it makes a difference before you place your next order. Buy it from the shops - It might not taste exactly the same but you'll save the most money by picking up your favourite pizza from your local supermarket. Some Asda stores sell freshly made ones from the pizza counter where prices start at £2. It works with either charcoal or gas barbecues. "Perfect for weeknight family meals and garden parties alike, the insulated stainless steel construction heats up quickly and evenly every time, so you can feed hungry mouths in no time," the website adds. "Get your guests creating their own for a fun dining experience that means less time prepping and more time mingling! "Plus, the ceramic pizza stone is super easy to wipe down once done. That's hosting made easy." These ovens are a budget equivalent of the classic Ooni pizza ovens, which remain a popular favourite. Ooni pizza ovens start from around £300 and can support various different fuels. The company describes its core purpose as being "because everyone deserves great pizza". "It's a simple idea, but a noble cause that's behind everything we do at Ooni. "We're working our wee socks off and won't rest until there's an Ooni pizza oven in the backyard of every man, woman and backyard-owning child everywhere."
