MONROE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Walnut Hill, Florida, woman has died after a crash in Monroe County that happened on Thursday, May 15, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Mobile County DA speaks out on deadly Saenger Theatre shooting
An ALEA news release said 62-year-old Mary Ria Michele Burt died on May 30 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Burt was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan when she left the road, hit a culvert, and overturned on Monroe County 45, according to ALEA.
Officials said Burt was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m.

Mobile man arrested in Bay Minette after found asleep at wheel of running vehicle
BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man was arrested Tuesday in Bay Minette after he was found asleep at the wheel of a running vehicle. Prichard Police Department begins internal investigation after officer's arrest in Florida According to a Facebook post from the Bay Minette Police Department, an officer conducted a traffic stop after seeing a vehicle stationary on D'Olive Street, and the driver was asleep behind the wheel. BMPD officials said the vehicle was running and in drive. Police made contact with the driver, now identified as 29-year-old Anthony Maurice Parker Jr. of Mobile. The officer saw a handgun in plain view inside the vehicle and 'also detected a strong of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,' the post said. After investigating further, police learned Parker is a previously convicted felon. He'd been convicted of first-degree robbery and certain persons forbidden to possess firearms, according to the post. Police searched the vehicle with probable cause and found 36 grams of marijuana, 11 grams of synthetic marijuana, 80 ecstasy pills and a loaded 9mm handgun, according to BMPD. Parker was arrested and is accused of certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Correctional Facility. His bond stands at $23,500. Escambia County Sheriff's Office closes 2 drug houses, arrests Pensacola man
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has shut down two drug houses, resulting in the seizure of drugs, money and weapons, and the arrest of a Pensacola man. Saenger Theatre homicide suspect pleads not guilty According to an ECSO Facebook post, ECSO's Narcotics Unit, SWAT Team and Field Force Unit served search warrants on May 23 at two homes. Officers went to a home on the 2400 block of North F Street and another on the 10400 block of Tanton Road, where they found drugs, firearms and money, the post said. According to the post, ECSO seized 250 grams of fentanyl, 851.5 grams of cocaine, 626 grams of marijuana, 178 grams of psilocybin or hallucinogenic mushrooms, 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 9 guns, $820 and a GMC Yukon. Satori Keys, 44, was arrested and is accused of with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver, possession of psilocybin with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the post said. Jail records show Keys was released on May 26. He is set to appear in court on June 13.
