'Devastated' but 'unbelievably proud' - fans on Forest's season
After Nottingham Forest's 1-0 defeat by Chelsea saw them miss out on Champions League football, we asked for your thoughts on the match and the season. Here are some of your comments:Alan: If this result had have been on offer at the beginning of the season, I would have snatched your hand off. Forest played a particular way and the great teams 'sussed' us out towards the end of the season. A great season - but we will have to see investment in the club. Cash and players.Jan: Where were Forest predicted to finish before the season started? Well, it certainly wasn't seventh! They tried so hard today to get a Champions League place but it just didn't go their way. A larger squad may have lessened the end of season drop-off in form. Overall, an outstanding effort by the team and I expect them to smash the Conference League next season!Joe: Devastated to lose out how we did when we were in such a great position a month ago but also very excited for Europe next year, even if it isn't the competition everyone wanted. From where we were at the start of last year, this is a dream come true. Up the Reds.Flossy: Seventeenth last season. Favourites for relegation this season. To then qualify for European football with an FA Cup semi-final, this season is a huge improvement over the last. Instead of the Championship, we are digging out our passports! Sure we were right up there for a long time, but I am more than happy to finish seventh.Jacob: Unbelievably proud of the team for how far they've come this season. Fine margins cost us in the end and it's easy to think of a missed chance or mistake during the season, which cost us the points we needed in the end. Fans will feel disappointed in the moment but mustn't lose sight of the bigger picture. Hopefully, we will look back on this season as a sign of great things to come in the future.Gary: The obvious requirement next season is to have more squad depth. Also, if the poor home form continues into the new season, it won't be long before Nuno is looking over his shoulder.

Roy Keane 'involved in hotel bar fight' after he had drink thrown on him
Roy Keane was no stranger to the occasional on-pitch confrontation, but the Manchester United legend also found himself in similar situations away from the pitch Roy Keane has opened up about a bar fight he had with "a hockey team" while he was at Nottingham Forest. The Irishman was a fiery and destructive player during his time with Forest, Manchester United and Celtic. Whether it was steaming into tackles or taking on the likes of Patrick Vieira in the tunnel, Keane's temper was as famous as his brilliant abilities on the pitch. However, his heated nature was not solely confined to the field, as it often overflowed while he was out and about. Keane, 53, was reminiscing about his early days as a young player while speaking to his ex-Forest team-mate Mark Crossley. While they were talking about some of their nights out during their days playing under Brian Clough, the Irishman mentioned a fight he was in the middle of during a mid-season tour in Jersey. It was previously reported by FourFourTwo that Keane had been in the bar of their hotel at the time when a conversation with a female member of the public escalated and ended with her throwing a gin and tonic over him. He's alleged to have responded with a pint of ale, at which point the woman's husband got involved. The incident was brought up in conversation on the Stick to Football podcast, while the likes of Gary Neville, Ian Wright, Jill Scott and Wayne Rooney were listening. The conversation began with Neville asking the pair if they'd had any memorable nights out with each other. Crossley then turned to Keane and said: "Do you remember the Jersey ones, they were good, weren't they? Those mid-season ones." Keane immediately piqued the table's interest when he replied: "I was sent back from that, remember? "I had a fight with that hockey team or something." After Scott curiously asked if the ex-midfielder had taken on the entire hockey team, Keane wryly replied: "It was a few of them." Keane would go on to elaborate on what happened in the bar fight after a mild cross-examination from the rest of the table. He began by explaining the consequences, saying: "He (Clough) sent me back from Jersey. An incident in the bar.' When asked what happened by Crossley, Keane replied: "[Someone] wanted to get something signed. [Then] someone threw a drink over me.' After Scott enquired whether it was because the Irishman refused to sign something, he replied: "No, it's because I had already signed something from him and I said, 'How many do you need?' Then they threw a drink over me.' Explaining what happened next, Keane, with a wry smile, replied: "I said that's unacceptable behaviour. The next day he sent me back on a flight, two days early. The good days, huh?" It would not be the last time Keane found himself having fisticuffs after sinking a few drinks. Last December, in a previous episode of Stick to Football, Keane explained how he left his ex-team-mate and former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel with a huge black eye after they came to blows while on a pre-season tour of Asia. Looking back on the incident, he said: "Yes - he started it! It was self-defence, but yeah it was a proper fight. There was obviously drink involved and a bit of jetlag. I think Peter had a black eye. But we trained as normal the next day." Join our new MAN UTD WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Manchester United content from Mirror Football. Pereira's voice growing at Wolves amid recruitment reshuffle
Wolves writer and broadcaster Johnny Phillips suggests that there is a reshuffle within the club in terms of recruitment, with current manager Vitor Pereira having a bigger say. The Midlands club were embroiled in a relegation battle before Pereira took over and finished the season 17 points clear of the drop. "What we are seeing now with Matt Hobbs' departure and the possible incoming of a technical director and a bit of restructuring around the club is that Pereira's voice will be heard more so than recent managers," Phillips said to BBC's Wolves podcast From the Moment of Realisation. "The role of sporting director won't exist in the current shape. There's talk of a technical director could be coming in, Domenico Teti has been mentioned, having worked with Vito Pereira at Al-Shabab. "There's also an increased role for Matt Jackson from his current remit. So, there is a little reshuffle going on, and I expect Wolves to be more fluid. "The past two years have had a slight sense of waste about them. Wolves have been on the back foot, behind the eight-ball, and then spent time trying to recover positions. But it would be nice to think that you could have a starting block where the squad would be in good shape at the start of the season, rather than maybe bringing in players in the mid-season transfer window and desperately trying to avoid relegation battle."
