Theo Dan ready to play the tourist on England tour to America
They are destinations and cultures Dan is keen to soak up on and off the field and he has been tapping up some of his teammates at StoneX Stadium for an inside track.
'It would be my first time in Argentina and I've never been to the USA either, so it would be an amazing experience,' he said.
'At Sarries, we have Juan (Martin) Gonzalez and Lucio (Cinti) and we've spoken about it a little bit over coffees, asking them what it's like and about the stadiums we'll be playing in.
'They've both played in both of them and said it's unbelievable. One of them is a football stadium in Buenos Aires (home of Estudiantes) and the atmosphere there is one I'm really excited to experience.
'You have to be sensible, of course, but I try to be a tourist where I can, especially when you're going somewhere you've not been before.
'Japan was incredible, Tokyo was one of the best places I've ever been. I loved it there, and being able to explore bits of New Zealand was amazing as well.'
Dan was one of five Saracens players in a 33-man England training squad who spent two days together at Pennyhill Park to prepare for an international summer which begins with an uncapped clash against a France XV at Allianz Stadium on June 21.
His fellow hooker Jamie George is set to keep him company in South America while Tobias Elliot, if selected for the final touring squad, could make his England debut after a standout season on the wing.
'Tobias has been outstanding for us this year,' Dan said. 'It might feel like he's broken through from out of nowhere but for us at the club it's no real surprise.
'He has been knocking on the door for the past year in training, he has trained and played really well for Ampthill and in the Prem Cup.
'It's no surprise he's transitioned seamlessly into the Premiership and I'm really excited for him. I hope he takes it with both hands and enjoys it as it's a really good opportunity and he deserves it.
'Jamie is a great guy and one of my really close friends, I feel very lucky to call him that.
'He has been a great mentor to me and also the younger guys coming into camp, he is such a great guy to have around.
'He's able to share invaluable knowledge and he makes everyone feel welcome. He's an incredible asset to have in camp and day-to-day around the club.'

Asked about his coaching team during his first press conference as Rangers manager, Martin was full of praise for Gill. He said: "He's been my assistant manager all the way through and he brings technical expertise as a coach. "Brilliant coach who had to play a huge role in developing a lot of players at Norwich since he had the 21s. "We played together very briefly and then I worked with him when he had the 21s. "When I was on my way out as a player at Norwich and I realised then what an excellent coach he was and how much care he had for the players and how much they loved him. "Guys like Max Aarons, Todd Cantwell and the Murphy twins, some brilliant players under his tutelage. "And we're very different personalities, so he's a bit more calm and introverted than I am, so it's good for me and it's a good balance." Gill joined the Canaries from Exeter in 2009, but made just 16 appearances across two seasons as he struggled to make an impact. But it was during his Exeter days when Gill, 44, etched his name into the history books for the wrong reasons. Rangers ‘expect success' under Russell Martin, says chief executive
The Govan club were taken over by an American consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises last Friday before new sporting director Kevin Thelwell officially joined from Everton on Monday. Another key appointment for Gers was made on Friday when 39-year-old former Southampton boss Martin, who had a short loan spell as a player in Govan in 2018, was confirmed as manager. The appointment has not found universal favour among supporters but Stewart believes Martin fits the bill perfectly – albeit the former Scotland defender has to demonstrate that to his new bosses. Stewart, who started work in his role last December, said: 'Russell's appointment is the culmination of a series of steps we've been working on over the past few months since I joined Rangers. 'We started with the football review, which I spoke to the media about in January. This led to several insights and recommendations, including the need to modernise our operations and develop a clear footballing identity. 'Then the next step was to appoint a sporting director and Kevin, of course, was appointed in April and came into the building just this week. 'We also have been developing a clear football style and identity and that's work that's been going on behind the scenes. It's been led by Kevin and it's involved football people. 'We've now culminated in appointing Russell and in Russell we've got a head coach who aligns to the footballing style and identity that we've been developing. 'In addition to wanting a head coach who's going to excel in terms of the style that we're looking to play as a club, we also were looking for a head coach that's going to improve our culture, develop our squad and ultimately win matches. And Russell's been a standout candidate. 'This appointment is about building a winning team and a strong culture. 'Now, Russell's no stranger to our club, as you know, he's been a player here previously and we expect success and Russell knows that. We're really, really excited for his leadership and for him to get started.' Martin will be joined at Ibrox by assistant head coach Matt Gill and performance coach Rhys Owen. A new share issue at the club's general meeting on June 23 will raise £20million, the bulk of which will be going to the football department. Thelwell insisted that Martin will be involved in any new recruits. He said: 'When we talk about recruitment, clearly it's going to be a collaborative approach. 'I've never been in this role ever where I've signed a player for the first team that hasn't been supported by the head coach or the manager. So we'll talk a lot about how we want to play. 'We'll talk a lot about what profiles we think we need and what positions we think we need. 'And then between Russell and I, and the recruitment team, we'll sit down and identify players that we think can make us better very quickly. And then between us, we'll decide about what we do next. 'That's generally how I've worked and generally how we've discussed how it's going to work. And for me, that's probably been a good way of working so that we've got some clarity.'

Win fans over and dismantle Celtic – Russell Martin has work to do at Rangers

The appointment of a new boss comes following the confirmation of the takeover by an American consortium of Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises while Kevin Thelwell recently officially joined the Light Blues from Everton as the new sporting director. Rangers supporters are unhappy with his performance in the Premier League, where he was sacked by Southampton after a horror start to the season, after bringing them up through the play-offs. There is the perception that Martin was too dogmatic in his possession-based style of play and paid the price in the English top flight. He is already under severe and unprecedented pressure to hit the ground running. There's plenty of work to be done to overhaul Rangers' squad which ended up trophyless last season, albeit reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Rangers confirmed the departures of Ianis Hagi, Leon Balogun and Tom Lawrence with their contracts set to expire. Loanees Vaclav Cerny, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and Rafael Fernandes have also left the club while players like Robin Propper, Nedim Bajrami, Ben Davies, Kieran Dowall – the latter two who spent last season at loan at Birmingham – are expected to depart. Midfielder Lyall Cameron will arrive from Dundee but he will not be alone. Arguably, a new goalkeeper, right-back, left-back, two centre-backs, two wingers, a number 10 and a striker is required. Of course, much will depend on the style favoured by Martin and how much money is made available but the Light Blues will have a new look next season. Midfielder Nicolas Raskin is arguably the club's biggest asset following a terrific season during which he broke into the Belgium national side. The 24-year-old, who signed from Standard Liege in January 2023 for a reported fee of around £1.3million has two years left on his contract. Rangers fans remain disgruntled about players like Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos who were allowed to run down their deals and leave for nothing. Enigmatic Cyriel Dessers has often been a frustrating figure since signing from Cremonese in 2023 but ended up top scorer in the Premiership last season with 18 goals while he netted 29 times for Rangers in total, taking his tally over two seasons to 51. Rangers fans appear split on whether the Nigeria international, contracted to 2027, should stay or go. But how much would it cost to replace him with a striker who guarantees the same goal return? Martin may just have walked in the door but he will be expected to win silverware this season with Celtic dominating Scottish football. Rangers fans watched their Old Firm rivals clinch their 13th league title in 14 seasons – albeit the Light Blues had a better head-to-head in league games – and only a Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen on penalties denied the Hoops a sixth domestic treble in nine years.
