Carsley's side beat tournament favourites Spain in the quarter-finals to take a big step towards defending their title in Slovakia.
Standing in their way of a final against either France or Germany is a clash with the Dutch at Bratislava's Tehelne Pole stadium on Wednesday, when temperatures are set to exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

'We've not shied away from the heat,' Carsley said.
'We've exposed the players to it fully. We're ready for it. We're fully prepared now.
'We've trained at some of the hottest periods of the day, not on purpose but just the way that it's worked out with our training time.
'We've been here long enough now to acclimatise to the heat. We've definitely got hydration strategies in place in terms of what the players need to cool down quickly and hydrate quickly.
'I think our use of the substitutions has been effective in terms of our timings. We've probably gone a little bit earlier than you would in normal circumstances, based on how hot it's been.'
After a nervy 2-2 Group D opener against Finland, the Netherlands have conceded just once in their last three games and reached the last four with a 1-0 win over Portugal.
And Carsley believes they will pose England a similar test to Spain in the last eight.
What a win. What a performance.

'The Netherlands are a team that we've been watching now for a while,' the Young Lions' boss added.
'They're very attacking, very expansive in the way they play, technically very good.
'I really like the system that they play as well, very similar to the Spanish. We expect a really tough game and we're fully prepared for it.'

Former England manger Gareth Southgate knighted for services for football

Former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate has received a knighthood for his services to football. Southgate led England to consecutive European Championship finals in 2020 and 2024 and the 2018 World Cup semi-finals. He accepted the honour from the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. He is the fourth England boss to be knighted, after Sir Walter Winterbottom, Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson, and the only manager to lead the England men's team to two major tournament finals. Southgate said that managing his country for eight years was 'an amazing privilege", but went on to admit he was 'not missing that either'. His resignation came following England's 2-1 final defeat to Spain in July last year. England midfielder Georgia Stanway believes Sarina Wiegman should be made an honorary dame if the Lionesses retain their Euros title in Switzerland next month. Speaking exclusively to ITV News on the day Sir Gareth Southgate was knighted at Buckingham Palace, Stanway said the Dutch head coach had 'brought a lot of success to our country in football [terms], but also in creating national happiness". She continued: "I feel like that definitely should be rewarded". The Bayern Munich star added it was 'unfortunate' that more Euro 2022 winners hadn't been given honours after ending England's 58-year wait for a major trophy. 'I feel like everybody should have been rewarded for those moments', she said. 'Not only a few players. But maybe in the future to come, more and more will be recognised.' Four Lionesses were named in the New Years honours list in 2022/23, after claiming silverware for a senior England side for the first time since 1966. Captain Leah Williamson received an OBE, while teammates Lucy Bronze, Beth Mead and Ellen White were awarded MBEs. Sarina Wiegman was also made an Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire, with the permission of the Dutch government. England's head coach was previously in contention for an honorary damehood, had she won the World Cup in 2023, according to The Telegraph, but England lost in the final against was succeeded as England manager by Thomas Tuchel ahead of next year's World Cup, when it will be 60 years since the men's national side won their only major honour. Under Southgate, England ended their 55-year wait for a men's final at Euro 2020 before being agonisingly beaten on penalties by Italy at Wembley. A late defeat to Spain three years later again saw the side just miss out on silverware. Southgate took charge of 102 England matches in total to add to the 57 caps he won for the national team as a player between 1995 and 2004. He was recognised for his services to association football in the New Year Honours in December. Asked how it felt to be knighted, Southgate said he was 'more emotional than I thought I might be'. He also paid tribute to William, who is president of the FA, as an 'amazing supporter' of both England and his favourite club Aston Villa, whom Southgate played for during his 16-year career. Southgate added: 'He's a genuine football fan and he was deeply passionate about the team doing well and how he might help as president of the FA and was I getting the right support when I needed it. So it was an immense backing to have. 'He kindly thanked me for what I'd done.'

Legendary Dodgers announcer Jaime Jarrín speaks out on immigration raids

Even for legendary Dodgers announcer Jaime Jarrín, who's called Southern California home for seven decades, this moment in history feels unprecedented. As immigration enforcements and ICE raids permeate many parts of Southern California, even reaching the front gates of Dodger Stadium, Jarrín said he's worried about what's happening in the communities. After sharing an emotional Instagram post to express his support and encouragement for immigrants, Jarrín said in Spanish and English that it hurts him to see people being detained by federal agents. 'It would not surprise me to have someone come to my door and ask for my papers,' said Jarrín, who was the Spanish-language announcer for the LA Dodgers for 64 years until his retirement in 2022. The Baseball Hall of Fame award recipient and Dodger ambassador called himself a proud immigrant, saying he was gratified that the team pledged to donate $1 million for immigrant families impacted by raids. Jarrín also said he was glad to see the Dodgers denying access to federal immigration agents last week when they tried to stage in a stadium parking lot. 'It pains me to see federal agents attempting to enter the stadium, my home, a spiritual place,' Jarrín said. His son Jorge, who was also a Dodgers Spanish-language announcer, said his father and the family's message is part of a legacy that includes more than $50,000 in scholarships awarded to college students each year through their foundation. 'Education is the key,' Jorge Jarrín said. 'The more you are educated, the better you are, the better you will be to defend yourself, to understand a situation, to step forward, to take a leading role.' While lending his voice in support of all immigrants, the elder Jarrín urged people to protest peacefully without violence or aggression and lead with a message that immigrants are important and necessary parts of the community.
