We're heading to the weekend at the final stop of the PGA Tour's Florida Swing.
Jacob Bridgeman holds his first 36-hole at the 2025 Valspar Championship, where the total purse is $8.7 million and $1.566 million goes to the winner. Bridgeman would like to be that winner. In 39 previous starts, his best finish is a tie for second. He's at 6 under through two rounds and leads a group of three golfers by a shot.
Kevin Kisner made his first cut in 2025 in his fourth outing. He was already not scheduled to do NBC TV work this weekend as Tampa resident Gary Koch does those duties.
Peter Malnati will not be defending his title. He was among a large contingent of notable names who missed the cut Friday night.
Here's what you need to know about tee times and the TV and streaming information for the third round of the 2025 Valspar Championship. All times ET.

Concerning Rory McIlroy News Emerges Ahead of U.S. Open

Concerning Rory McIlroy News Emerges Ahead of U.S. Open originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The U.S. Open 2025 is one of the most anticipated majors of the year, set to begin on Thursday, June 12, at the iconic Oakmont Country Club. Known for its brutal, rough and fast greens, Oakmont promises a real test for the world's best golfers. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlines the field, with other big names like Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele, Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy ready to compete for glory. Advertisement But just days before the tournament, worrying news has surfaced around McIlroy. According to sources Kira Dixon, McIlroy has been undergoing extensive driver testing following a missed cut at the RBC Canadian Open. He had switched to a shorter driver in Canada but hit only 46% of fairways. Now, he's moved back to the TaylorMade Qi10, the model he used before experimenting with the Qi35. Rory Mcilroy watches his tee shot on the third hole during the second round of the RBC Canadian Open golf tournament. Dan Hamilton-Imagn Images This isn't the first time McIlroy's driver setup has caused issues. A failed driver change also hurt his performance at the PGA Championship. With the U.S. Open around the corner, the five-time major winner is still searching for the right gear far from ideal with such a demanding course ahead. McIlroy, who recently completed his career Grand Slam, will be grouped with Shane Lowry and Justin Rose for the opening rounds two players currently in fine form. Meanwhile, DeChambeau returns as the defending champion, aiming to repeat his Oakmont magic from last year. The tournament will be broadcast across NBC platforms, including Peacock and USA Network, with coverage starting early each day. With the field stacked and conditions tough, every detail matters and for McIlroy, the uncertainty around his driver could be a critical setback in his chase for another major. 2025 U.S. Open match-up picks, predictions: Corey Conners vs. Jordan Spieth, Ben Griffin vs. Shane Lowry

The U.S. Open kicks off Thursday at one of golf's most iconic venues, Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania. Scottie Scheffler is a historic favorite after a dominant showing during the PGA Championship, but there are plenty of other betting opportunities to target. Here's a look at a couple of matchups we're targeting for this weekend's action. Corey Conners vs. Jordan Spieth Corey Conners has been one of the breakout PGA Tour stars of 2025. The Canadian has five top-10 finishes so far this season and has proven to be a cut-making machine, playing the weekend in 14-of-15 starts, including 13 straight since falling short at the Sony Open in January. Since mid-February, Conners has finished 30th or better in 10 of 11 tournaments he's entered. Jordan Spieth, who is slightly favored to finish ahead of Conners this weekend at Oakmont, has been more of a wild card of late. He's missed the cut just twice this year, but Spieth has finished outside the top-30 in four additional tournaments, suggesting he's having a hard time putting four solid rounds together. Conners has finished ahead of Spieth in both majors this season. Look for the up-and-comer to do it again this weekend. The play: Corey Conners to finish ahead of Jordan Spieth (-105, BetMGM Sportsbook) Ben Griffin of the United States prepares to play a shot on the third hole during a practice round prior to the 125th U.S. OPEN at Oakmont Country Club on June 10, 2025 in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Getty Images Ben Griffin vs. Shane Lowry Ben Griffin comes into the U.S. Open as the hottest player in golf outside of Scottie Scheffler. Over his past three tournaments, Griffin has won the Charles Schwab Challenge, finished second at the Memorial, and finished T-8 at the PGA Championship. He's a big underdog to beat out Shane Lowry this weekend, despite playing as well as anyone in the field. Lowry has enjoyed a strong season, with two runner-up finishes and two additional top-10s, but he's struggled during the majors, finishing T-42 at Augusta and missing the cut during the PGA Championship. The Irishman is a much more familiar name to the average golf fan, but Griffin is the hot hand to ride in this matchup. The play: Ben Griffin to finish ahead of Shane Lowry (+110, FanDuel Sportsbook) Why Trust New York Post Betting Dylan Svoboda is a versatile writer and analyst across many sports.
