Israel launches military strike on Iran, sources say
Israel said it has launched a series of strikes against Iran that included dozens of military targets, including the country's nuclear program, according to the Israel Defense Forces. The IDF said the operation, titled "Rising Lion," comes after intelligence identified that Iran has "significantly advanced towards obtaining a nuclear weapon," alleging this capability would allow them to act against Israel. Israel estimates Iran now has enough enriched material for several nuclear bombs, the IDF and an Israeli official familiar with the operation told ABC News. Defense Minister Israel Katz described the strikes as "preemptive" and declared a state of emergency. "Following the State of Israel's preemptive strike against Iran, a missile and drone attack against the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the immediate future," Katz said in a statement.

Hezbollah condemns Israeli aggression against Iran
Beirut – Saba: The Lebanese Hezbollah party on Friday strongly condemned the brutal Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering it "a dangerous escalation in the Zionist regime's violation of all controls and rules, under full American cover and sponsorship." In a statement, the party stressed that this enemy does not abide by any logic or laws, and that it only knows the language of murder, fire, and destruction. It has begun to commit foolish acts and embark on adventures that threaten to ignite the entire region, in order to serve its aggressive goals and save itself from its internal crises. The statement said: "All efforts made over the past period to preserve stability and security in the region have been undermined and aborted by the enemy government, exposing regional and international security to grave risks whose repercussions could lead to undesirable consequences." It added: "The peoples and countries of the region must realize that if this aggression is not met with rejection, condemnation, and support for Iran and its people, this criminal entity will only increase its aggression and tyranny, strengthening American and Israeli hegemonic projects in the region, harming the interests of its people, and plundering its wealth." The statement added: "The Islamic Republic has been careful throughout the past period to exercise self-restraint and not be drawn into Israeli provocations and aggressive practices. It has responded to all international initiatives to defuse the crisis, adhering to its natural right to produce peaceful nuclear energy, which guarantees its people development, progress, and prosperity." The statement said: "The Israeli enemy has crossed all red lines, thinking that by doing so, it will change the equations. However, it will discover that the great Iranian people will become more committed to their natural, legitimate rights and will vigorously defend their freedom, dignity, and independence." Hezbollah affirmed that "this aggression would not have occurred without the approval, coordination, and direct American cover, which Washington seeks to evade in order to avoid any repercussions." It expressed its "full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, in the face of this dangerous attack," emphasizing that such attacks will not weaken Iran, but will rather strengthen it in the face of dangers and in its determination to defend its sovereignty and security.
