Attempted murder charge after car in Birmingham driven into crowd
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a car drove into a crowd outside a nightclub in Birmingham. Mohammed Suffi, 22, is also accused of violent disorder and dangerous driving in connection with the incident on Livery Street on 4 October. Six people were hurt, five of whom were taken to hospital for treatment. West Midlands Police said Mr Suffi was charged on Monday and was remanded into custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The force said three other Birmingham men had also been charged with violent disorder in connection with the incident. Daanyal Hussain, 20; Armaan Abid, 23; and Mustafa Gohari, 21, are set to appear before the same court on 20 June.

The chancellor has refused to say if the government will apologise for dismissing calls for a national public inquiry into grooming gangs after the prime minister U-turned on the matter last night. Rachel Reeves told Sky News Sir Keir Starmer changed his mind after a government-requested audit into the scale of grooming gangs across the country concluded a nationwide probe was necessary. A MAN and a woman were mauled by a "Bully-type dog" in a horror attack at a home — with police confirming they have seized three dogs from the scene. The man, in his 30s, and the woman, in her 20s, suffered serious injuries after a horrific dog attack on Havelock Street at 2.38am on June 15. Both individuals were rushed to hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
