'I'm a fashion editor and found perfect festival outfits at unlikely retailer'
The brand may be known for its lingerie and adult toys, but it's really been killing the fashion game recently - and its latest drop is no different
Festival season is officially here - and if you've bagged tickets to Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Download, Isle of Wight, or one of the other popular weekend events, you'll know that sorting your outfit is just as crucial as the lineup. Fashion editor Rachel Pugh has been hunting for the perfect ensemble, and stumbled upon options in a rather unexpected place: Ann Summers.
She said: 'The brand is smashing it with its glitzy, dancefloor-ready collection. From sequin-adorned bodysuits to faux leather shorts, it's got all the elements for a main-stage moment - and some of it is even on sale.' reports the Manchester Evening News.
One of her top picks was the brand's Flashing Lights Sequin Body, now £27.20 (was £34). She commented: 'In an electric pink and dripping in sparkle, it's practically made for dancing under the stage lights. It's bold, fun and cheeky, with a plunging back and mesh thong bum. Pair it with denim cut-offs, or go full throttle and wear it solo with a pair of knee-high boots.'
If you're feeling particularly daring, the Eternal Rainbow Suit is another option. Now reduced to £28.80 from £36, it's crafted from rainbow lace and mesh instead of a solid colour, giving it a dreamy vibe. It also has underwired cups for extra support and adjustable shoulder straps for comfort.
'With a piece this eye-catching, keep the rest of your outfit simple,' said Rachel. 'Think black shorts and chunky combat boots to let the bodysuit do all the talking.'

Elsewhere, Jaded London is set to be your new go-to for festival outfits with knockout styles including standout cargo trousers and co-ord sets that will have you channelling headliner vibes. 'I bagged myself a pair of beige parachute trousers to wear at the Lido Festival in London over the weekend,' Rachel commented. Otherwise, Motel Rocks is another option. Known for its bold prints, sheer layering and y2k party-girl energy, it's perfect for a muddy field.
Back at Ann Summers, there are also some great short options available. Festival-goers can go full glam with a diamante-detailing pair or keep it classic with a plain black version - both £28.
The brand's festival range has not yet received many reviews, although a couple of people have commented on the diamante shorts. One person said: "Really pretty. The material is thin, which is perfect for summer. I love the bling detail on the chains.
"I recently went from 16 to 14, and I am choosing size medium more often. I went with a size large on this one so that my belly doesn't stick out. They are a bit large, but I love how they make me look as if I have room."
When scouring Ann Summers site for criticism, results seem scarce, yet there's a grumble or two about their delivery service found on TrustPilot, with one customer posting: "I placed an order which was cancelled a week later. No reason was given; the email stated that if I still wanted the products, I should place a new order."
Speaking on the festival edit, Rachel concluded: 'Ann Summer has officially entered its festival fashion era - and I want it all.' Shoppers can view the entire range here.

Good Morning Britain host shares concern for co-star as loud bangs heard on air
Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh was forced to address loud bangs heard in Los Angeles during a live report on the ITV breakfast show as Noel Phillips reported live from location Ranvir Sing had to reassure viewers during the latest episode of ITV breakfast programme Good Morning Britain. The 47-year-old TV star was in the studio with co-hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid, delivering the latest global news headlines. They began the day with breaking news from Los Angeles, where protests have reignited, with demonstrators opposing immigration raids clashing with law enforcement for a third day. Protesters congregating in downtown LA were ordered by police to disperse immediately, following earlier demonstrations that blocked a major city freeway. National Guard units, deployed by President Donald Trump, resorted to tear gas to disperse the protesters, reports the Manchester Evening News. Noel Phillips, North America Correspondent for ITV, reported live from LA, with loud bangs audible in the background during his segment. Addressing the camera, Noel said: "As you can see police are now trying to get these protestors off the streets, Ranvir. We're going to try and bring you more a little later on." Discussing the unfolding situation, Ranvir clarified: "And just to be clear, my producer was telling me that was fireworks because of course there's several cameras there. Just wanted to make that clear because for you because obviously alarming to hear that kind of sound." Susanna later checked in with Noel, asking if he was alright as the programme crossed back over to America for the latest updates. Noel confirmed he was unharmed before delivering an in-depth update on the unfolding situation. The reporter engaged with locals for his segment, while Richard and Susanna from the studio reminded him to "stay safe" as his report concluded. In another part of the morning show, host Richard disclosed that he had suffered a double wrist fracture in France over the weekend. "That looks sore," remarked his colleague Susanna, observing the cast on Richard's wrist. Richard recounted the incident, saying, "Yeah, it's a double fracture of the wrist. I was walking quite quickly down a steep pavement in France, actually, on Friday,". He continued, detailing the accident: "The pavement was loose and it flipped up and it flipped me forward, and I thought, 'Am I gonna win or is gravity gonna win?' And gravity won, and I hit the ground hard. So yeah, I've got a double fracture and we'll see how it goes."
