Amazon slashes price of Bluetooth speaker with nearly 10k five-star reviews

A Bluetooth speaker is a summer essential. Whether at home, in the garden, at the beach or the campsite, getting a good portable speaker is a must for enjoying music wherever you are.
Finding a good speaker for an affordable price can, however, be difficult. Shoppers want the perfect balance between sound quality, battery life and portability, and there are so many on the market to choose from.
For a limited time, the Soundcore 3 Bluetooth Speaker from Anker has been reduced from €54.90 to €39.90 on Amazon, a saving of 27 per cent, or 15 quid.
Drilling down into the details, the black speaker comes with 16W stereo sound and upgraded BassUp technology that pumps up the bass in real time, even at low volume. Importantly, users don't have to worry about the speakers dying in the middle of a BBQ or beach get together as the Anker has a 24-hour battery life, reports The Daily Record.
Crucially, with the Irish weather in mind (despite the recent scorching spell) the speaker is waterproof and has an IPX7-rated casing, which offers complete protection against liquids. It also has high connectivity, and enables instant Bluetooth pairing. Whether it's to a park gathering or to the back garden, the small, lightweight speaker can easily be taken anywhere, hassle-free.
The reviews are glowing, with the speaker earning a 4.6/5 rating from over 12,500 testimonials, over 9,300 of which are five-star reviews.
One user raved that it was the "best buy, ever", adding: "If I could give this product 10 stars, I would give them without thinking."
Another impressed reviewer said it was "just what I wanted" and added that the "sound quality is very good for such a small and inexpensive product", with one more hailing it as "well worth the money spent" and saying that "it's loud enough for a small party and has great sound".
While the majority of reviews were positive, one less than impressed owner complained of a "static-like buzzing noise", with another suggesting that the 24-hour battery life was "more like 10 hours maybe".
Most, however, were very satisfied at what they were getting at an affordable price, with another reviewer who has had all three Soundcore speakers over a nine-year period describing this version as "incredible value".
However, if this speaker isn't quite right for shoppers, there are a number of others to choose from.
For a pricier option, shoppers could try the Marshall Kilburn II Portable Wireless Speaker for €259 from Currys PC World, which can deliver sound for over 20 hours, can be connected either wirelessly via Bluetooth or using a traditional wired connection and is IPX2 water resistant.
Another choice is be the JBL Flip 6 Portable Bluetooth Speaker in Black for €89 from Harvey Norman, which is waterproof, has up to 12 hours of battery life, can be connected to Bluetooth and comes with a two-year guarantee.
