BBC admits they regret streaming Bob Vylan's Glastonbury set
The broadcaster has said the group's comments were 'antisemitic' and 'utterly unacceptable'. During their set on the West Holts stage on Saturday (June 28), rapper Bobby Vylan led a crowd to chant 'free, free Palestine' and 'death, death to the IDF'. The BBC said that in 'hindsight' they should have pulled the stream of the live performance, which remained on the platform for more than five hours. — Good Morning Britain (@GMB) June 30, 2025 The BBC said in a statement: 'Millions of people tuned in to enjoy Glastonbury this weekend across the BBC's output, but one performance within our live streams included deeply offensive comments. 'The BBC respects freedom of expression but stands firmly against incitement to violence. 'The antisemitic sentiments expressed by Bob Vylan were utterly unacceptable and have no place on our airwaves. We welcome Glastonbury's condemnation of the performance. 'The performance was part of a live stream of the West Holts stage on BBC iPlayer. "The judgement on Saturday to issue a warning on screen while streaming online was in line with our editorial guidelines. 'In addition, we took the decision not to make the performance available on demand. 'The team were dealing with a live situation but with hindsight we should have pulled the stream during the performance. We regret this did not happen. 'In light of this weekend, we will look at our guidance around live events so we can be sure teams are clear on when it is acceptable to keep output on air.' Recommended Reading: Following the performance, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer criticised the chants as 'appalling hate speech'. In the same statement, the prime minister repeated his previous argument that the Belfast rap group Kneecap should have been removed from the line-up after one member was charged with a terrorism offence. "I said that Kneecap should not be given a platform and that goes for any other performers making threats or inciting violence. "The BBC needs to explain how these scenes came to be broadcast."

Love Island's Helena looks completely different before ITV glow up and lip filler
LOVE Island's Helena Ford looks worlds away from how she does in the villa in old resurfaced pics. Fans uncovered snaps of the blonde beauty, 29, before her ITV glow-up and lip filler. 7 7 The former air hostess, who has been at the center of multiple love triangles whilst on the hit dating show, has left fans shocked with her villa transformation. In a post on TikTok one user uploaded a photo carousel of Helena's old snaps with many quick to praise her new look while others couldn't believe the change. The Love Island star now sports a full head of hair extensions, glam makeup and noticeable lip filler. Fans rushed to the comment gushing over the snaps, one user chimed: 'I gasped (shocked emoji)' Another added: 'She's just lost loads of weight and gotten some lip filler, she always had a pretty base.' 'No way !' penned a third. 'She's such a stunner,' a fourth replied. The glam beauty is currently coupled up with bombshell Giorgio Russo but has now entered her second love triangle of the season after she kissed another islander. Helena began making moves on Harrison Solomon, 22 and was promptly branded a "sneak b***h" by her love rival Toni Laites who is coupled up with the footballer. Helena and Harrison scooted off to the Hideaway - reserved for duos who are not coupled up - where they shared a kiss. 'Disgusting - I'm switching off' rant Love Island fans as villa boys turn on Shakira Shortly afterwards Toni decided to dump Harrison over his "sneaky" smooch. Despite this it seems Helena still has unfinished business with former flame Harry Cooksley which has left his partner Shakira Khan fuming. In a game of Snog, Marry & Pie Helena chose to snog Harry, remarking: 'It's been a while and I wanted to test the waters.' And when it was Harry's turn he pulls Helena in for a snog leaving Shakira open mouthed. He openly admitted: 'There's undeniable sexual chemistry.' Helena and Harry have had a rocky relationship whilst in the villa with Helena dumping him after he snogged bombshell Yasmin Pettet in the Hideaway. But, now it seems they may rekindle things after all as the temperature heats up again between the pair. 7 7 7
