The c.US$1 billion transaction marks a transformative moment for Alba and reinforces its position as a global leader in the aluminium industry.
Welcoming Ma'aden to Alba's shareholder base, Alba's Chairman of the Board, Khalid Al Rumaihi, stated:

Alba Power Station 5 (PS5) Block 4 Expansion Project
Alba's PS5 Block 4 is a new 680.9-megawatt (MW) combined-cycle power plant that expands the existing PS5 facility. This state-of-the-art J-class gas turbine addition boasts superior efficiency compared to Power Stations 3 & 4. Scheduled for completion in Q4 2024, Block 4 will boost PS5's total capacity to 2,481 MW, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 0.5 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of aluminium produced.
A consortium of Mitsubishi Power and SEPCOIII is responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from design and engineering to construction and commissioning. Alba has achieved in April 2024 the first fire of the state-of-the-art GT for Block 4 Project.

Jordan-based Airport International Group has signed a partnership agreement with airport advertising company Extime JCDecaux Airport to enhance the OOH advertising experience at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman, Jordan. The collaboration will see a full-scale update of the airport's media infrastructure, including new, larger digital screens and creative solutions in high-traffic areas, designed to improve visibility for advertisers and streamline the passenger journey. Sharjah Municipality qualified 23 staff members as ISO auditors
Developing capabilities for institutional excellence Bodour Al Hammadi, Director of the Institutional Development Department, acknowledged that the workshops are part of the municipality's strategic objective to improve human capital and build internal teams. The goal is to attain the highest quality standards and institutional accreditation by empowering staff to discover internal improvement opportunities and execute best practices. A dedicated audit team was constituted from diverse departments to ensure institutional excellence in accordance with worldwide quality standards. Comprehensive training She stated that the programme consisted of four intensive workshops spread over four weeks. These courses introduced attendees to major ISO standards such as ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 31000 (Risk Management), and ISO 9001. The training also included practical workshops on internal audit systems that were in line with these criteria.
