Samsung Galaxy F56 unveiled: Exynos 1480 power inside a 7.2mm body
Samsung just announced the Galaxy F56 – at 7.2mm, it is the thinnest F-series phone yet. It is just as thin as the Galaxy M56, to which it is closely related (the M56 launched in mid-April).
The Samsung Galaxy F56 is built around a 6.7' OLED display, a 1080p+ 120Hz panel with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and up to 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode. Samsung Galaxy F56 in Violet
It is powered by the previous-gen Exynos 1480 with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. The phone launches with One UI 7 out of the box (Android 15) and will receive 6 major OS updates. The chipset is cooled by a 'flagship-level vapor chamber'.
It runs on a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired-only charging. The phone's back also uses Victus+ for protection, but the frame is plastic (the camera island is metal, though).
The Galaxy F56 is equipped with a 50MP OIS-enabled camera on the back that can record 4K 30fps videos with 10-bit HDR. It also takes Portrait 2.0 photos at 2x zoom. Additionally, Galaxy AI features like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestion are supported. The front-facing camera is a 12MP unit. Samsung Galaxy F56 in Green
The F56 supports Samsung Wallet's new Tap & Pay feature. Also, it is secured by Samsung Knox.
The Samsung Galaxy F56 launches in India today with two storage options: 8/128GB for ₹26,000 and 8/256GB for ₹29,000. EMI options start at ₹1,556 a month.

Galaxy S25 Edge drop test shows why you should probably use a case
At a mere 5.8mm, the Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's thinnest phone to date, and its slender profile has naturally raised some durability concerns. We now have a drop test courtesy of PBKreviews, which shows that it can handle a few drops and scuffs but not as well as its bulkier siblings. The Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 screen suffers cracks after the very first drop, though it remains functional. The titanium frame then takes a few scuffs in the next tumbles, but there's no structural damage yet. The third drop manages to crack the Victus 2 glass back and also scuffs up the main camera sensor, but the phone is still fully operational. For more details on the S25 Edge, head over to our detailed written review where we cover our usual set of tests. Also feel free to check out Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge design story, which details the key internal restructuring that took place to reach the desired thinness. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Galaxy S25 Edge camera score revealed: Slim on zoom but strong on style
Is that a big problem? No. As mentioned, the S25 Edge is a design litmus test, and the camera is pretty decent despite the lack of a telephoto/periscope. Here's how the Galaxy S25 Edge fares against the rest of the Galaxy S25 series. Notable here is the adoption of the Galaxy S25 Ultra 's 200MP main camera and the same ultrawide you'd find on the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus . And here's how the phone fares in our camera test. With a cumulative score of 140 points, it's a pretty decent performer, combining everything that's great about the Ultra and the Plus in a pretty compact assembly. The still photo score, slightly higher at 145.6 points, clearly indicates a more pronounced forte in regular photography, while a 134-point score in videography still hints at strong results. Compared with some of its peers and rivals, the Galaxy S25 Edge performs slightly worse, but most of that can be traced to the lack of a dedicated zoom camera. The ultrawide is also slightly less impressive than the ones on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The lack of a zoom lens hurts the videography result, where the phone's rivals come in for a clean sweep, but the Galaxy S25 Edge still delivers an excellent result, all things considered. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge camera spider chart The main camera of the Galaxy S25 Edge is pretty good, delivering an exceptional amount of detail with only some oversharpening. Despite the identical hardware as the Galaxy S25 Ultra , the quality here is slightly worse. The colors are typical for Samsung, with a splash of unrealistic vibrancy that looks good on your screen but is a far-cry from real life. 2X 10X Thanks to the large main sensor, the Galaxy S25 Edge can achieve pretty decent results at the default 2X zoom mode, which is mostly lossless. We get decent detail, all things considered, with good dynamics and just a few artifacts. However, zoom to 10X, and the images will hardly be usable, with many artifacts and oversharpening galore. The ultrawide camera is pretty decent. There's enough sharpness here, even in the corners, but some finer details are cannibalized by the post-processing and the typical Samsung oversharpening. 1X 1.2X The front camera is very good, but phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max deliver better detail. Still, we get neat colors and decent dynamic range here, so it's all fine! The Galaxy S25 Edge is equally capable in terms of video. At 4K resolution, the videos are superb, with tons of detail up to 4X digital zoom. The main camera delivers great dynamic range, though it might sometimes struggle to expose those pesky highlights properly. The front camera is also very decent, with just the tiniest amounts of oversharpening, but overall, delivers great results. Totally unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S25 Edge isn't a camera powerhouse. It doesn't shine in any particular area, but still delivers consistent results with both its wide and ultrawide cameras. The camera performance and the image quality shouldn't be reasons to buy the Galaxy S25 Edge , but even if you decide to do that, rest assured the phone won't disappoint you.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 display size is the same as Samsung's last special edition foldable
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 should be hitting the shelves any day now, so it's only natural that all of their specifications leak in advance. We now have confirmation from a very reliable source that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 's display is the same size as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. However, there's a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition was an improved version of the standard Fold 6, but it only saw a limited release in South Korea and China. It's speculated that Samsung made this phone to directly compete with Chinese smartphone manufacturers, which were releasing much better foldable smartphones for domestic consumers. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will apparently be the same size as the Fold 6 Special Edition. However, because of much thinner bezels this time around, the Fold 7 's actual display will be larger than the SE's eight inches. The Fold 7 will instead come with a display size of almost 8.2 inches. Finally it's Confirmed Now! Galaxy Z Fold 7 Display is the same size as Z Fold 6 Special Edition 8", with slightly less Bezels, resulting nearly 8.2' Display. — PandaFlash (@PandaFlashPro) June 4, 2025 While that's hardly any larger, keep in mind that the last Samsung Galaxy foldable that most of the world could buy was the base model Fold 6. That phone has a display size of 7.6 inches, which means that its upcoming successor should feel relatively much larger. We already know that the Fold 7 looks a lot bigger than its predecessor due to leaked images. Galaxy Z Fold 7 size compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. | Image credit — PandaFlash A much bigger ( pun intended ) point of debate has been the chipset that will be powering the Fold 7 . According to all reports from multiple industry insiders, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset found in the Galaxy S25 series. While I'm bummed to see Samsung still having trouble with its Exynos processors, I'm sure many will breathe a sigh of relief at that news. Samsung has vastly toned down sales expectations for the Fold 7 and Flip 7 , as the foldable industry hasn't picked up as much attention as manufacturers had hoped. Some companies are pulling out of the foldable segment entirely, while others still think it's worth giving it a go. Oppo, for example, released the gorgeous and super thin Find N5 foldable. Apple, on the other hand, is biding its time until it can make a foldable iPhone that meets its stringent criteria for perfection. In addition to the Flip 7 and Fold 7 , Samsung is also likely going to be releasing a tri-foldable smartphone this year. Very much an expensive experiment at this point, the tri-foldable will see a very limited release in very few markets, and Samsung doesn't expect it to sell all too well.
