A golden retriever puppy named Bauer has captured hearts across the internet with his emotional reunion with his owner after the first day at daycare.
In a viral TikTok video shared on Wednesday under the username @imbluethesiberiann, the puppy is filmed sprinting toward his dad as soon as he spots him from behind the door, leaping into his arms and showering him with kisses.
"Picking up my puppy from his first time at daycare," reads layover text in the clip, as the puppy goes on to grab his own leash and drag himself around.
"The way he carries his leash like 'I'm ready let's go home!' He had literally the best time and was the best boy," the caption says.

The poster, Corey Moriarty, from Palm Beach, Florida, told Newsweek that they had no idea how their 4-and-a half-month pup old was going to react to his first day at doggy daycare, and thought his reaction was really cute.
"He was thrilled to see his dad and was running around with his leash in his mouth like he was ready to go home," he said.
But this doesn't mean that he didn't enjoy his time at daycare, on the contrary, he loved it, according to his dad.
"He had an amazing time [at daycare], the staff said he was the life of the party and made so many new friends, he can't wait to go back!" Moriarty added.
With over 80 million pet dogs and 60 million pet cats living across America, pet care is a booming industry. There are currently over 20,000 pet care facilities throughout the country.
The global pet boarding market is estimated to be worth approximately $20 billion, and projected to grow to $36 billion by 2031. In America, doggy daycare costs an average of $35 per day, while dog boarding services cost an average of $40 per night.
The video quickly went viral on TikTok and it has so far received over 679,900 views and 84,300 likes on the platform.
One user, Ssjp1107, commented: "This. This right here is why I can never understand how people can be cruel to animals. The unconditional love is amazing."
Sandraclouthier53 said: "Anyone that says your pets are not your children... show them this video!! That baby is so excited to see you!"
Catherine Haines added: "Awwww when your outside having a cuddle he looks like a baby polar bear with them feet."

Donald Trump's ‘Les Miserables' Appearance Sparks Avalanche of Jokes, Memes

President Donald Trump's attendance at a performance of Les Miserables at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, during which he received cheers and boos from sections of the crowd, triggered a wave of jokes and memes on social media. Newsweek contacted the White House and the Kennedy Center for comment on Thursday via email and online inquiry form, respectively, outside regular office hours. Following his second presidential inauguration in January, Trump fired most of the Kennedy Center's board of trustees, replacing them with allies and appointing himself as chairman. The president attended the show in Washington, D.C., against a backdrop of days of anti-immigration enforcement protests in Los Angeles, some of which have turned violent. In response, his administration ordered 4,000 California National Guard troops and 700 Marines against the wishes of Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom. On Wednesday, the president and first lady Melania Trump attended the opening night of Les Miserables at the Kennedy Center. Other prominent figures in attendance included Vice President JD Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Attorney General Pam Bondi. Footage of the event shows Trump receiving cheers and boos from the audience. According to CNN, one woman appeared to be escorted out after shouting, "Convicted felon, rapist!" Les Miserables is a musical adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel of the same name. It is set against the backdrop of the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, a failed insurrection against French King Louis Philippe that was suppressed by government troops. On X, Newsom shared a screenshot of an NBC News headline about the president's attendance, writing, "Someone explain the plot to him." The post has received more than 60,000 likes and 1.9 million views. User @BlueATLGeorgia, a pro-Democrat account with 39,000 followers, wrote: "Les Misérables is a story of social unrest, especially the June Rebellion, where young idealists rise up against inequality and government oppression. "Young people fight for justice, calling for reforms and dignity for the poor. The government responds to the rebellion with heavy force, resulting in bloodshed. Sound familiar?" A Michigan business called That Gay Guy Candle Co. wrote: "Trump's going to see Les Mis tonight? That's ironic." User @Betches_News told its 25,000 followers, "Trump and Melania watching Les Mis at the Kennedy Center tonight like." Below the caption, it shared a photo of a shocked woman asking: "Wait. Is this f*****g play about us?" User @toyjawn1 wrote, "Trump ... watching Les Mis ... with tickets upwards of the amount of an ordinary person's whole life wages," above a GIF of a man rubbing his face with an iron. During Thursday's performance, a number of drag performers sat below the presidential box in what one described as a "message of inclusivity." Before the performance, Trump attended a VIP reception with paid attendees. He told reporters that $10 million was raised for the Kennedy Center. Kennedy Center Interim Director Richard Grenell, commenting on reports that some actors did not want to perform in front of President Donald Trump, said: "Any performer who isn't professional enough to perform for patrons of all backgrounds, regardless of political affiliation, won't be welcomed. In fact, we think it would be important to out those vapid and intolerant artists to ensure producers know who they shouldn't hire—and that the public knows which shows have political litmus tests to sit in the audience." Darlene Webb, a Trump supporter who was at the performance, told CNN about the jeers: "I just wanted to clap and yell over it, because at this type of performance I don't think it was good for them to do that, professionally." Cara Segur, Webb's friend, told the outlet: "Seeing some of the actors and actresses, it looked like they were singing at him, instead of just singing to the crowd. And it felt really powerful and I liked it." On Saturday, a military parade is due to take place in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. The day also marks Trump's 79th birthday. The "No Kings" movement has organized demonstrations against Trump across the U.S., with 1,800 events planned for Saturday. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors He's played small town sheriffs and Soviet superheroes, but one of David Harbour's most memorable roles was as an action hero Santa Claus in 2022's action Christmas comedy "Violent Night." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harbour is returning to the role of the butt-kicking Santa for "Violent Night 2". The sequel is set to sleigh ride into theaters December 4, 2026. Universal Pictures "Violent Night" premiered in December 2022 and performed well, earning $76.6 million globally against a production budget of $20 million. The film starred Harbour as a drunken, disillusioned Santa Claus ready to hang up his hat when his sense of heroism is stirred by a young girl whose family is taken hostage. John Leguizamo played Scrooge, the Christmas-hating leader of a group of mercenaries. Acting more like John McClane or John Wick than any Santa Claus you've ever seen, Harbour's Chris Kringle fights his way through the mercenaries to save the little girl and her family. While not much is known about the story of "Violent Night 2", back in 2022 director Wirkola talked to THR about sequel ideas, including showing things that they had to cut out of the first movie. "We don't see the North Pole, we don't see Mrs. Claus and we don't see the elves," Wirkola said. "There were also a few ideas that we loved in the script, but we had to cut them because we couldn't afford to shoot them." Long before we see Harbour fighting bad guys as Santa Claus again, we'll see him back in the role of Jim Hopper in the fifth and final season of Netflix's "Stranger Things". Harbour can still be seen right now on the big screen as Red Guardian in Marvel's "Thunderbolts*". It's a role Harbour will reprise mere weeks after the premiere of "Violent Night 2" in the massive Marvel event film, "Avengers: Doomsday". Scam leaves restaurant waitress stunned as diners laugh in her face: 'Why is this the norm?'

A frustrated waitress recently went viral for venting about a refund fraud method that she said has become the norm. The restaurant worker, who goes by @girlypopzonly on TikTok, said the grift began after she served two entrées and two drinks to a couple. In a TikTok video recorded from the eatery's kitchen, the waitress recalled that she got an unpleasant reaction when she checked on the pair. "The girl's like, 'This [burger] is nasty, I don't want it,'" the waitress said in a video that got over 54,000 likes. "Mind you, the burger's half-eaten. All the fries are gone. So she gives me half [of] our burger back." She added, "I'm like, 'You know what? That's fine. She liked the fries.' So I take it back. Take it off the bill." When the waitress politely asked her if she'd like anything else, the female customer said she wanted the shrimp pasta that the male customer was enjoying. The waitress agreed, brought back the new dish and checked back in on the pair – and got another complaint, this time from the male customer. "They paid 20 bucks in total, and they ate seven different meals." "And then the guy's like, 'I don't like my shrimp pasta,'" the waitress said. "Mind you, the shrimp pasta's half gone. There's three noodles on the [expletive] plate. And I'm, like, 'Oh, that's weird, but OK.' I'm going to obviously take it off the bill." And then – making the story even more interesting – the female customer complained about her mostly-eaten shrimp pasta. She vented, "I'm like, 'OK, that's weird. This is, like, the seventh plate you guys have ordered.' They've returned every single plate, but they ate almost all of it. This is not a buffet, by the way." The waitress complied — and the manager also took the last dish off the bill. "They're sitting there laughing at me every time I pass by," the TikTok creator said. "They paid, like, 20 bucks in total, and they ate seven different meals." She wrote on social media, "I'm just wondering, is that normal? When you guys go to restaurants, do you order a bunch of meals, then return [them]? Why is this the norm? This happens so much." The troubled service worker received an outpouring of sympathy and support in the video's comments section, which drew over 1,600 reactions to the stunt. "Restaurants aren't tasting menus," one user wrote. "We have to stop allowing people to get away with stuff like that," another remarked. "If more than half of the meal is gone, no refund." The video also fueled a debate about whether restaurants should be refunding eaten food at all. "If more than half of the meal is gone, no refund," a commenter asserted. "When I worked at restaurants, the rule was if it was cooked wrong or not as described/ordered - refund," one former service worker said. "Otherwise they got what they ordered. We'd maybe give a discount or free drink/dessert." Others were firm that eaten food should never be refunded. "Nothing should have been taken off the bill," one person wrote. Overall, a majority of commenters disapproved of the waitress being put into the situation and said the restaurant's manager should have been more involved. "That's your manager's fault," someone wrote. "My manager would've had a field day with them," another commenter said.
