One injured in single-car Shawnee Township crash
Apr. 14—SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — A man was injured after crashing his vehicle on state Route 117 near Wonderlick Road on Monday, April 7, according to a Shawnee Township Police Department crash report.
Brandon Mohr, 33, was traveling eastbound around 9:13 p.m. when his 2013 Hyundai Elantra crossed the center line and went off the left side of the road.
The vehicle continued into a ditch, striking a road sign and a gas meter, according to the crash report.
The crash caused disabling front-end damage to the car. Mohr was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center for suspected serious injuries.
According to the crash report, Mohr was charged with operation without reasonable control.

Woman pleads not guilty to using bear spray, leading police on chase
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman accused of using bear spray at a business on Union Avenue then leading police on a high-speed chase was arraigned Thursday on multiple charges. Moenay Humphries, 24, of Los Angeles pleaded not guilty to felony charges of using a tear gas weapon, burglary and recklessly evading peace officers, a misdemeanor charge of possession of a tear gas weapon by a prohibited person and an infraction for driving without a license. She's due back in court June 18. Bail was set at $90,000. Holding a cellphone for navigation while driving is illegal, California court rules On Tuesday, police were called to a report of a chemical assault at a store in the 800 block of Union Avenue. They learned Humphries got in an argument with employees then grabbed a can of bear spray and sprayed it into the store's HVAC system, police said. Multiple employees and customers were exposed to the irritant. Officers found Humphries in a white Hyundai Elantra, police said, and she fled along Highway 58 and northbound on Highway 99 at speeds up to 110 miles per hour. California Highway Patrol took over the chase. Humphries exited Highway 99 at the Avenue 24 off-ramp and was involved in a single-vehicle crash just north of Delano. She was taken into custody. Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Kingston
An allegedly impaired driver in Kingston struck a pedestrian who later died on Wednesday evening, according to police. The driver's eastbound vehicle allegedly crossed westbound lanes before mounting the sidewalk and striking the pedestrian, according to a release from Kingston Police, who responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. The seriously injured pedestrian was transported to hospital where they later died, police said, without providing further details about their identity. The driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and detained. Police did not provide further details. Kingston police are seeking witnesses and the owner of a Tesla who may have dashcam footage. At approximately 5:25 p.m. the Tesla was stopped in eastbound lanes at a red light at Bath Road and Gardiners Road, when a black Hyundai Elantra "made an illegal manoeuvre at the intersection, narrowly missing the Tesla," police wrote in a press release.

DoorDasher drives onto tarmac at Chicago's O'Hare Airport, exposing security flaw
CHICAGO (WGN) — Newly obtained video shows a DoorDash driver's attempt to deliver food to a customer at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport last month not only breached perimeter security but also failed to trigger an immediate response. In surveillance video obtained by Nexstar's WGN, the delivery driver's red Hyundai Elantra is seen pulling up just behind and to the right of a United Airlines wide body jet parked at Terminal 1, Concourse C around midday on May 17. The vehicle stopped for approximately 20 seconds before pulling forward again and then stopping alongside the jet. Baggage handlers noticed the driver and approached, however it took nearly 10 minutes for a marked Chicago police vehicle to arrive. It's unclear from the video whether police or airport security officers may have approached the scene sooner on foot. WGN Investigates has learned the driver entered the restricted area through a security gate at the southeast corner of O'Hare, indicating he traveled a significant distance across the massive airfield without being stopped or raising alarm. 'No guard was clearly visible and [he] proceeded through the gate, following instructions from his GPS coordinates in an aim to deliver the meal,' the driver told police, according to records obtained by WGN Investigates. Police found the food order and a Door Dash receipt in the driver's car and released him without issuing any citations. The private security guard manning the perimeter checkpoint told police she didn't immediately report the breach. 'The vehicle had indeed driven through her post to which she regarded as strange and unfamiliar,' she told officers according to their reports. 'She then closed the gate but made no attempt to contact [the operations center] or notify her direct supervisor.' 'Following this incident, [Chicago Department of Aviation] leadership met with the contractor, Lincoln Security, to review what occurred and referred the matter to the Transportation Security Administration for further investigation,' airport spokesperson Kevin Bargnes told WGN Investigates. 'The employee involved is no longer employed by Lincoln Security, and their airport credentials have been terminated by the CDA.'
