NEW DELHI: Defending champions Washington Freedom will launch the third edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 with a high-stakes clash against last season's runners-up, San Francisco Unicorns, on June 13.

The month-long tournament, running until July 14, promises high-quality T20 action as six franchises compete for the title in a double round-robin format followed by playoffs.
This season will feature 34 matches across three venues in the USA: Oakland Coliseum in California, Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, and Central Broward Park in Florida. Here's a look at the unique flavour each venue brings to MLC 2025.

MLC 2025 kicks off on the West Coast at Oakland Coliseum, a historic stadium best known as the former home of MLB's Oakland Athletics and NFL's Raiders.
While its traditional roots lie in baseball and football, the venue has been adapted to host T20 cricket with spacious boundaries and high seating capacity, making it a perfect stage for the league's opening phase.
Matches from June 12 to June 18 will take place here, featuring high-profile encounters including MI New York vs Texas Super Kings and Seattle Orcas vs Washington Freedom.

The Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas serves as the central hub for the second leg of the tournament and all playoff fixtures, including the Qualifier (July 9), Eliminator (July 10), Challenger (July 12), and the Final (July 14).
This purpose-built cricket ground, which hosted the inaugural MLC final, boasts a cricket-specific pitch and growing fan base in the South. Known for its electrifying atmosphere and fast outfield, it's expected to be the scene of several crucial matchups that decide the fate of the season.
Central Broward Regional Park , Lauderhill, Florida

From July 2 to July 7, MLC will travel east to the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, the first ICC-certified venue in the US for international cricket.

Having hosted various T20 internationals over the years, the ground is known for its batting-friendly pitch and vibrant crowd support from Florida's diverse cricket-loving community.
The final league-stage games, including Washington Freedom vs MI New York and Seattle Orcas vs Texas Super Kings, will be held here, all potentially decisive for playoff qualification.
