Farmer Wants A Wife's Jarrad declares he's falling madly in love as he chooses his final lady - but are the couple still together?

Daily Mail06-05-2025

Farmer Wants A Wife came to thrilling conclusion for one of the country boys on Tuesday night.
Farmer Jarrad appeared to find his happily ever after with Queensland bartender Chloe, 22, as he picked her to be his final choice on the dating show, dumping his second choice, Victorian education support worker Ashlee, 22.
Down to his final two ladies, Farmer Jarrad, 21, met Chloe and Ash's families, hoping this would help him in his decision making.
Despite having strong affections for both ladies, Jarrad announced bartender Chloe had won his heart, saying the pair went together like 'cold beer and country music.'
'I love how you push me to want to be a better man and I'm falling for you, and I do hope you are ready to catch me because I would be honoured to have you by my side' he said.
'I will do my best to be better every day because from this day on, I would like to spend every day with you.'
An elated and emotional Chloe described the moment as a 'pretty surreal' before joking with Jarrad that her engagement finger was currently 'vacant real estate.'
Despite the happy ending, all may not be what it seems after it was revealed this week that Farmer Jarrad Wrigley might already be back on the market.
The fan favourite was tipped to find a fairytale ending on the show, but questions are now swirling about the fate of his relationship with frontrunner Chloe, after fans claimed he's been behaving like a bachelor off-screen.
'He didn't act like someone in a relationship,' one festivalgoer told Daily Mail Australia, alleging they encountered Jarrad at a country music gig in Tamworth back in January – weeks after he reportedly wrapped filming on the show.
'He was chatting up women left and right. He even joked about being "done with dating shows." Honestly, it seemed like he was single or just didn't care who saw.'
Another punter who claims to have seen Jarrad at a rural pub earlier this year echoed the sentiment.
'There was no mention of a girlfriend. He was pretty flirty. If he's still with the girl from the show, he's got a strange way of showing it' they said.
While Channel Seven has kept a tight lid on how the season ends, speculation is mounting online that Jarrad may have quietly parted ways with his chosen lady – or possibly signed up for the wrong reasons altogether.
Some viewers have questioned whether the aspiring country crooner joined the reality series as a strategic move to boost his public profile and music career.
'He's got a good voice and he's been pushing his music pretty hard,' said one industry insider.
'No surprise if he saw this as a launchpad.'
Despite being described by some as 'one of the nicest blokes you'd ever meet,' Jarrad, a country musician by trade, has been slammed online by fans who believe the only thing he's truly chasing is a record deal.
'I think he was supposed to apply for Australian Idol – he's looking for a recording deal, not a wife,' one unimpressed Facebook user wrote.
Another added, 'So he doesn't come from a farming background… he doesn't own a farm…
'And wants to buy back his great-grandfather's property from 30 years ago… Is he even a farmer? Or just a guy who sings country and western?'
'He's only there for exposure for his music career,' a third person speculated.
While others chimed in with 'Wrong show, buddy' and 'Seems like a nice person, but it's definitely looking like he's promoting his music.'
Some loyal viewers came to his defence, pointing out that he does work in agriculture and fits the bill.
'It's called Farmer Wants A Wife and he works as a farmer? Doesn't say Man Who Owns A Farm Wants Wife,' one person shot back.
Despite the chatter, Chloe has remained tight-lipped on the status of their romance – though fans have noticed her appearing solo at several recent events.
Channel Seven has declined to comment.

'My head was faaaar too large so we had to change our plans late in the piece! I'm suuuuuuuuuper cute and Mum and Dad are obsessed with me!' The accompanying images showed little Brax in a blue onesie laying in a cot. The new parents also posed for a selfie, beaming for the camera as they cuddled their little one. The former footballer had documented her pregnancy on Instagram, proudly showcasing her heavily pregnant belly. 'Going to miss my Belly. Have LOVED every second of being pregnant with you my sweet boy,' she wrote in one caption. In January, Abbey announced she was expecting her first child, saying she and her husband were overjoyed, reported Herald Sun. Sharing the news with their family over Christmas first, Abbey went on to reveal she discovered she was pregnant after running the New York Marathon in November. 'As you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock given what I had just put my body through, but I'm in awe of what the human body can do,' she said. Nevertheless, Abbey said she and Keegan 'could not be happier to welcome our first child into the world, later this year'. 'We are so excited and grateful to be in this position, as we know how difficult it can be for so many people. We're on cloud nine and can't wait for this next chapter.' Abbey said the couple have been sharing their milestone news with as many people in person as possible, adding it's 'a really special time for us all'. She later shared a pregnancy announcement to Instagram, posting happy snaps of her growing baby bump taken by photographer Diana Brandt. The Seven star shared a heartfelt video capturing the moment she wiped away tears, overwhelmed by the achievement of completing the 42.2 kilometre challenge. 'Speechless. Proud,' she captioned the clip. 'The emotion on that finish line hit me reeeeaal hard. I am a marathon runner!' The path to the New York Marathon wasn't easy for Holmes. She had been juggling her on-screen commitments with Channel Seven, alongside marathon training. The lovers married in November 2023 in a stunning ceremony at Uluru in the Northern Territory. They wed in front of about 100 friends and family, including Abbey's Seven commentary colleagues Luke Hodge and Brian Taylor.

Love Island launches with smallest audience since 2016 in blow to ITV - but still trounces latest All Star series

Love Island has launched with its smallest audience since 2016 in a blow to ITV - but is still trouncing the ratings of the last All Star series. The ITV2 dating show returned to our screens on Monday night, with presenter Maya Jama welcoming 12 new Islanders to the villa in Mallorca to find love. The launch episode pulled in 1.4million viewers across all devices - up on the launch of the All Stars spin-off featuring former contestants in January. This makes it the channel's biggest show of the year. But despite this, the viewing figures for this year's series - the tenth anniversary instalment of the show - are a far cry from the ratings the programme used to enjoy. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The second ever series of Love Island, in 2016, pulled in just 825,000 terrestrial viewers for its launch episode, at 9pm on a Monday in May, Broadcast Now reports. But while this year's opening episode pulled in 1.4million across all devices, it only attracted 1.2million terrestrial viewers at its peak. This terrestrial figure is well above both the numbers for 2016 and the slot average, of 357,000 people. And it easily beats the second series of Love Island: All Stars earlier this year, which reached 760,000 terrestrial viewers during its launch on a Monday in January. But it still falls considerably short of the kinds of terrestrial ratings launch episodes have tended to enjoy in recent years. The opening episode in 2023 attracted 1.3million of these kinds of viewers - while last year's launch boasted a whopping 1.6million people tuning in on TV. Though the 2024 launch did inconveniently clash with a friendly match between England and Bosnia & Herzegovina on Channel 4, it was simulcast on ITV1 and ITV2. The decline in the show's terrestrial ratings could well be explained by more audiences turning to streaming as time goes on. Monday's launch was, however, a win for the broadcaster in terms of attracting younger audiences. The opening episode pulled in the biggest 16-to-34-year-old audience of all programmes across ITV's channels that day, with 364,000 people of those ages tuning in. Since its launch in 2015, Love Island has been streamed a whopping 2billion times to date on ITVX. Despite only two episodes of this year's series of the programme having aired so far, viewers already have strong feeling about the latest batch of Islanders. Fans slammed 'nasty mean girls' among the women in the cast as they 'alienated' single Shakira Khan for flirting with the boys during last night's episode. ITV2 viewers were left shocked by the 'b****y' girls' behaviour as they chatted around the fire pit - excluding Shakira and American bombshell Toni. The girls complained: 'Shakira has spoken to every Tom Dick and Harry. I don't think I've done enough.' Megan said: 'Shakira has been grafting her f***ing a*** off today.' Helena added: 'I think she fancies everyone, doesn't she? She even fancies the plants. I should have grafted today, I should have kissed him.' Shakira picked up on the 'bad vibes' and told Toni she felt 'singled out' but pointed out there was nothing stopping the other girls grafting too. She said: 'Getting ready then, the vibes were so off and I can't say anything as nothing has really been said but the energy, everyone's thinking like, "Have they done enough?" 'The girls don't appreciate that I'm grafting. We have all been here a day, like, you can do it too. 'It has rubbed people up the wrong way and I've been singled out as the threat. You get in as much as you get out.' Fans rushed to X to call out the girls for 'alienating' Shakira, questioning if they had ever watched the show - on which 'grafting' is normal. They wrote: 'The twist that has made Shakira have to graft has made the other girls alienate her which is so nasty. This is LOVE Island, you can all graft too! Nobody wants to work anymore!; 'What's this shade towards Shakira? "She's spoken to every Tom, Dick and Harry". DUHHHHH This is Love Island; 'Ew these blondes getting b****y about Shakira getting to know the boys, LIKE WHAT LOVE ISLAND IS FOR.' Love Island is available to watch on ITV2 and to stream on ITVX.

Love Island fans call for boy to be KICKED OFF show after ‘disgusting' red flag comment

LOVE Island fans have called for one of the lads to be axed after he made a "disgusting" comment about Shakira Khan. Ben Holbrough sparked immediate red flag fears among viewers after pulling bombshell Toni Laites for a private chat. 7 7 American Toni - short for Antonia - had stolen Ben from Shakira moments earlier after making her shock entrance. Sitting down with Toni, Ben praised her for the savage move as he said Shakira "needed to be humbled". "I like it because it's humbled Shakira. She needed that," he told Toni. Fans on the show were horrified by taxi driver Ben's shock remark about the 22-year-old model. Venting on X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer raged: "Shakira needed to be humbled????? on day one?!! get Ben OUT OF THIS VILLA!" Another fumed: "Ben saying Shakira needed to be humbled and he's known her for three hours, he's a weirdo he needs to leave already." A third added: "It humbled Shakira. She needed that.' Put Ben in the bin pls." A fourth blasted: 'I like it it humbled shakira she needed that' sorry?? What? Get him off my screen what a bizarre thing to say." And someone else agreed: "What did Ben mean by Shakria needed humbled? Its not even been 24 hours. get this p**** out." As a result of Toni's arrival in the villa, Sophie Lee was savagely dumped from Love Island on Tuesday night. First person dumped from Love Island revealed Just 24 hours after she had arrived, 29-year-old Sophie was made to repack her bags and leave the villa. Ben, 30, had originally been coupled up with Shakira but was stolen from her by Toni when she walked in. Shakira was given one day to find a connection with another guy otherwise she would have been dumped from the island. Unfortunately for Sophie, the brunette managed to turn Harry Cooksley 's head and picked him to recouple with. Her decision left Sophie single and she was sent home. Shakira needed a pep talk from Love Island host Maya Jama before telling the group that she wanted to recouple with the footballer. As she was about to make her decision known, Shakira turned away from the fire pit and her voice cracked. She whispered to Maya: "So let me just get this straight, whoever I pick, that girl gets dumped?" Maya replied: "Yeah." Shakira whispered: "For f***'s sake. I still don't know which one I'm picking." Have YOU got a story or an amazing picture or video? Email exclusive@ and you could even get PAID Maya advised Shakira to go with the guy who she was most compatible with, adding: "You don't want to regret anything later." Sophie, a former fire breather and dancer who was left scarred for life following a terrifying accident, has since broken her silence on her early exit. 7 7 7 7
