Falkirk have signed "one of the hardest working strikers" in Brian Graham, as the veteran forward joins on a one-year deal. The 37-year-old scored 21 goals in all competitions last season for Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle and has over 220 goals in his 18-year career. This is the second time John McGlynn has signed Graham, having previously done so in 2011 with Raith Rovers, and Graham said he "couldn't say no" to working with the manager again."Brian's had an amazing career and it's a credit to him and the way he's look after himself that he's still one of the hardest working strikers going about," McGlynn told club media."He has the natural instincts of a top striker, he's in the right place at the right time, he knows the position inside out and with the number of crosses we put in the box, I'm sure there's plenty more goals to come."Brian is a winner, he is very determined individual and his experience at this level will be important to the team. "I've said we needed Premiership experience and physicality, and Brian brings both of those in abundance."The former Hibernian forward has 25 goals in 96 top-flight appearances with Dundee United, St Johnstone and Ross County."The opportunity to work with John McGlynn again was one I couldn't say no to," the former Partick Thistle women's manager said. "You can see how well the players and staff have done here over the last two years with back-to-back promotions, and it's a chance for myself to get back and play in the Premiership as well."It's up to me now to work hard, get the head down, and get myself in the team. With the wide players here, I know for a fact I'm going to get chances to score goals and I'm really looking forward to getting started."

Ex-Liverpool and Man City star James Milner agrees new deal to play into his FORTIES - with Premier League record in his sights after recovering from potential career ending injury

James Milner has agreed a one-year contract extension with Brighton. Milner, who will turn 40 next January, is 15 appearances behind Gareth Barry's Premier League record of 653. Brighton announced the deal on Friday, which will see the midfielder stay at the Seagulls for a third season. The former Liverpool and Manchester City star wants to keep playing into his 40s after fighting back from a knee injury and complications that threatened to end his glittering career. Milner, who has made 61 appearances for England, the last one coming in 2016, feared his career was over after undergoing knee surgery in December. But he came on for the closing minutes of Brighton's victory at Tottenham on the final day of the Premier League season, to make his first appearance since August. Following the renewal, Milner said: 'Delighted to extend my time at the club and looking forward to getting back into pre season to work with the manager and this talented group of players.' The 39-year-old was fit and ready to return from the knee surgery in December only to be set back by nerve damage. 'I couldn't lift my foot or my toes, not an ideal scenario,' the Englishman, renowned for his deadpan delivery previously said. 'I didn't know whether I would be able to walk properly again let alone play football. 'There was a chance I might not have come back at all. Nobody said quit. But with my age it was highly unlikely I would get back. I think that was one of the things that drove me most. My first aim was to try and get the knee as strong as possible which I did.' Milner joined Brighton on a free from Liverpool in 2023. He made his Premier League debut for Leeds at the age of 16 before winning the Premier League with Liverpool and Manchester City. He also won the FA Cup and League Cup with both sides and the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019. His apperance against Spurs on the final day was his 881st in senior club football. Brighton finished in eighth place in the league last season under Fabian Hurzeler, just missing out on securing European football at the Amex

Joao Pedro's preferred new club amid Newcastle and Chelsea transfer interest as Brighton team-mate reveals future plans

JOAO PEDRO has decided where he wants to move amid transfer interest from Newcastle and Chelsea. The striker could be on the way out of Brighton this summer after impressing for the Seagulls over the last two years. 2 He is likely to demand a significant fee and his options could be limited because of where he wants to play. Pedro's Brighton team-mate Igor Julio has revealed the Brazilian is keen on a move to London in a dent to Newcastle's ambitions. He told Trivela: 'Joao Pedro had already told Brighton some time ago that his desire was to leave, look for new things and take the next step. 'It seems it will be difficult and complicated for him to stay here, we have to be honest, the club already knows that he said in contact with the report via video call. 'He always told me that he really wants to live in London, so I think he will prioritise what comes from there first.' Julio believes Pedro should move to a Big Six club competing in the Champions League, so Chelsea could be ideal. But if the Blues want him this summer they might have to fork out a huge fee. Brighton slapped a £70m price tag on the 23-year-old but SunSport understands that they will be willing to do business for £59m. 2 Newcastle could try and sign him once again with Eddie Howe still a big admirer. Toon came close to landing Pedro two years ago, who has scored 30 goals in 70 games on the south coast since arriving for £30m from Watford.
