Prince George has a bright future ahead of him. When his father, Prince William, becomes king, George will be the heir apparent, and he'll eventually assume the role of monarch himself. Following the revelation that Prince William wants Prince George to follow in Princess Diana's footsteps, and that the 11-year-old royal has already been receiving kingship lessons, a new profile of the Prince of Wales hints at another aspect of Prince George's future.
The Telegraph recently shadowed Prince William during one of his visits to the Duchy of Cornwall. William, of course, inherited the duchy when King Charles acceded the throne. The duchy—which consists of "128,494 acres of land across 20 counties," per The Telegraph—provides a large source of private income for the Prince of Wales. And when William becomes king, George will take over the Duchy of Cornwall.
Discussing his hopes for the future of the duchy, which his son will run, William told the outlet, "We're not the traditional landowner...We want to be more than that."
Elaborating on his plans, Prince William told The Telegraph, "I see the duchy as an extension of the work we do with the Royal Foundation." He continued, "I see it as a branch of my philanthropy...There's so much good we can do in the rural world. I see [the duchy] as another arm to the work that I want to do, which is being a positive force for good."
William further explained, "The duchy has been a positive force for good, but we can do so much more."
As reported by The Telegraph, William's aims include "ending homelessness to restoring rivers," and he hopes he can make a real difference within the duchy. Alongside aiding those experiencing homelessness, William's work includes "supporting the mental health of farmers, and arranging get-togethers to combat rural loneliness," the outlet reported.
As the future owner of the Duchy of Cornwall, Prince George will inherit the responsibilities his father is handling with aplomb. Per the Express, Prince George is likely being prepared for the "massive responsibility" that lies in his future. "The estate will be handed to Prince George and will be in good hands," the outlet reported.

Saoirse Ronan Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Congratulations are in order for Saoirse Ronan. The four-time Academy Award-nominated actor is pregnant. The news was confirmed by People after Ronan attended the Louis Vuitton cruise 2026 show, a visible baby bump on full display in a sleek black silk dress. This will be her first child with her husband, Slow Horses actor Jack Lowden. The two have been married since July 2024, when they held a low-profile wedding in Edinburgh, Scotland. They reportedly got engaged in 2023 after meeting on the set for Mary, Queen of Scots. He played Henry Darnley, while Ronan played the titular role of the Scottish queen. 'Being with an actor is wonderful, because we understand each other,' Lowden told The Guardian about being married to Ronan. 'We're quite odd people, actors. We're strange animals. So it just makes complete sense, and I understand why there are loads of other actors with actors… And it's really useful for running lines, rather than with, like, your mum.' In her cover interview with British Vogue in October 2024, Ronan opened up about her desire to have a family—and how she felt she was approaching the right moment in her career to do so. 'I became successful when I was quite young,' she said. 'So it meant that, actually, by the time I found my partner, I'm now at the stage where if it happened, I would like to have a kid. I feel fortunate enough that if I step out of this for a minute, I'm hopefully not giving it up forever. But, yeah, I've always wanted that.'

Ncuti Gatwa is leaving Doctor Who after just two seasons

After only two short seasons, Ncuti Gatwa's time as Doctor Who has come to a (rather disappointing) end. Note: this post contains spoilers for this past weekend's Doctor Who season finale. In the final moments of 'The Reality War,' the Fifteenth Doctor (Gatwa) sacrificed his current form to save the life of a child, and in classic Doctor Who fashion, the Time Lord's regeneration process ended with him getting a (sort of) new face. It's not exactly clear how or why, but the Doctor regenerated into a form that looks a lot like Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), the human companion to the Ninth (Christopher Eccleston) and Tenth Doctor (David Tennant). This is the second time in recent Doctor Who history that the titular character has regenerated into a body portrayed by a series veteran. Previously, Tennant returned to become the Fourteenth Doctor after the Thirteenth (Jodie Whittaker) regenerated. 'The Reality War' strongly implies that the Sixteenth Doctor might have transformed into a Rose Tyler facsimile for emotional reasons. But, notably, the episode's credits do not specify who her new character is. In a statement about her Who reveal, Piper noted how she has 'always said I would love to return to the Whoniverse as I have some of my best memories there.' Showrunner Russell T Davies added that 'it's an honour and a hoot to welcome [Piper] back to the Tardis, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told.' In a statement of his own, Gatwa thanked the Who fandom and 'everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.' 'You know when you get cast, at some point you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it,' Gatwa said. 'There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe.' The casting news was somewhat surprising coming after an appearance Gatwa made on The Graham Norton show last fall where he said that there were plans for him to begin shooting a third season as The Doctor. At the time, Gatwa's comments felt like a sign that the BBC intended to keep the Fifteenth Doctor's adventures going for a while longer. But, curiously, when Gatwa's interview ultimately aired on television, his comments were edited to remove any mention of a third season. It now seems like the network decided to shift gears rather drastically and focus on playing to Who fans' nostalgia by bringing back an old face. It's not clear when Doctor Who will return and explain the Doctor's latest face, but the BBC isn't letting the franchise go dormant for too long. The network also dropped a new trailer for The War Between The Land and The Sea, a spinoff series starring Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jemma Redgrave, and Alexander Devrient as a group of people trying to stop a conflict with creatures known as the Sea Devils.
