Texas A&M Loses Former 5-Star WR to Transfer Portal
As head coach Mike Elko and his staff continue to evaluate the team and figure out lineups for opening week, the transfer portal continues to stay hot.

Earlier this week, former Texas A&M WR Micah Hudson announced that he will be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, officially putting his short time in College Station to an end. Hudson was expected to make a big impact this season, as the former 5 star recruit would have been an elite option next to fellow star wide receivers Mario Carver and Kevin Concepcion. The 6'0', 190 pound WR was one of the top ranked prospects from the 2024 recruiting class, but appeared in only 8 games for Texas Tech. After recording a total of 8 catches and 123 yards on the year, Hudson transferred to Texas A&M in hopes of finding the right fit.

The Temple, Texas native battled multiple injuries prior to the start of his freshman campaign, missing all of last spring before returning to practice over summer. Hudson flashed his potential last season in week 3, where he posted a season high 3 catches and 43 yards in a Texas Tech win. Hudson's injury ridden freshman season certainly did not go as planned, as the former 5 star recruit will now look for a new opportunity elsewhere.
Although the loss of Hudson may prove to be a big blow for the Aggies, Texas A&M's wide receiver room has elite depth and should have no problems filling the hole that Hudson is leaving.

Former Texas A&M star Alex Caruso Shines in NBA Finals with career night and series tied The NBA Finals feature two former Texas A&M Aggies competing for a championship, and on a career night, Alex Caruso helped tie the series at 1-1 with an impressive playoff performance. Caruso is not typically known for his scoring prowess, but he has built his reputation as a high-energy defender who challenges the league's most elite guards. 2026 4-star Texas A&M TE commit has shut down his recruitment Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is one of the hottest growing cycles in the country, already locking down two of the highest-ranked prospects in the class as four-star WR Aaron Gregory and four-star running back Jonathan Hatton have shut down their recruitment and future official visits, and will more than likely sign with the Aggies during Early Signing Day on December 4. For Tafua, his future as a hybrid tight end who could be an instant threat through the air is in College Station. Tafua has continued to garner attention from several programs, primarily due to his elite athletic profile as a standout basketball and volleyball player, which has enhanced his ability as a receiver, with impressive quickness evident in his route running. According to 247Sports, Tafua is currently positioned as the 13th-ranked tight end and the 28th-ranked prospect in California.
