Acronis Prevents Over 7.5 Million Attacks

Acronis has solidified its position as a cybersecurity leader through significant milestones, a broadened global user base, and new product releases and enhancements. Over the past year, Acronis has prevented more than 7.5 million attacks, demonstrating the proactive defense capabilities of its technologies.
Since launching its first security product seven years ago, Acronis has continuously expanded its cybersecurity portfolio, releasing behavioral-based DLP, email security, AI-guided EDR, XDR, and MDR. The company has successfully built trust among its partners and driven widespread adoption of its security solutions. Today, over 50% of its partners use one or more security tools within the Acronis platform, reflecting the rising demand for natively integrated cyber protection. This growth is further validated by an impressive 188% year-over-year increase in protected workloads, highlighting Acronis' expanded and diversified impact across businesses worldwide of all sizes and industries.
Recent independent industry reports from Canalys, now part of Omdia, and Frost & Sullivan validate Acronis' leadership in cybersecurity. These independent analyses highlight Acronis Cyber Protect—a natively integrated cybersecurity platform—as the preferred solution for managed service providers (MSPs) as well as small, medium-sized (SMB), and mid-market businesses.
In the Canalys Global Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix 2025, Acronis ranked Champion status for the first time. Acronis is also celebrated for offering vendor-neutral and role-specific technical training through the Acronis MSP Academy, the company's training offering of over 120 courses and certification programs for MSPs to boost skills and overall company revenue.
'Acronis delivers a comprehensive platform that integrates security services, data protection, and operational management, strengthening its MSP-first approach,' said Matthew Ball, Chief Analyst at Canalys. 'With the expansion of its cybersecurity portfolio in 2024—including Acronis XDR, MDR, and Copilot—alongside its enhanced #CyberFit partner program, Acronis continues to empower MSPs with new revenue opportunities, streamlined operations, and advanced threat protection.'
In Frost & Sullivan's Radar: Endpoint Security 2025, Acronis ranked as a leader in both growth and innovation for the second consecutive year. The report shares how a large portion of Acronis 2,000 global headcount is focused within R&D or product roles, and with over 200 issued and pending patents, a large portion of revenues are invested back into security product offerings and advancements.
'Acronis continues to differentiate itself in the market by addressing the unique challenges of distributed environments in core industries that require sound cybersecurity like manufacturing, healthcare, and retail,' said Özgün Pelit, Senior Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. 'It's flexible pricing strategy, freemium model, and modular approach provide advanced endpoint protection tailored to the needs of businesses that often face budget and resource constraints. Acronis' vision and go-to-market strategy strategically align with these underserved segments, reinforcing its leadership position on the Innovation Index of the Frost Radar for Endpoint Security.'
Acronis has further strengthened its recognition as a key player in cybersecurity through new research published by the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU). Under the leadership of newly appointed CISO Gerald Beuchelt, the TRU team—composed of experienced cybersecurity experts—uncovers and analyzes emerging threats, enhancing the Acronis platform while contributing valuable intelligence to the broader cybersecurity community.
'We all know cybersecurity is a basic need, but at Acronis, we believe that cybersecurity must also enable recovery with Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (the CIA triad). Our natively integrated platform has a higher reliability for cybersecurity and boosts technician productivity by combining advanced threat intelligence, automation, and turn-key integrations. It also provides unique capabilities with scanning email and system backups for infections later to support forensics and recovery,' said Gerald Beuchelt, Chief Information Security Officer at Acronis. 'Effective cybersecurity goes beyond technology – it includes people and processes. By integrating security awareness, RMM and agent automation, and SaaS posture management through tools like Acronis Ultimate 365, we help businesses run secure deployments, strengthen defenses, and scale securely with confidence.'
Building on continued growth and success, Acronis has earned top recognition in the G2 Winter 2025 Grid for Endpoint Protection Suites, an achievement that highlights the company's commitment to delivering exceptional solutions. Acronis' strong performance in the G2 community further reinforces its reputation as a trusted leader in cybersecurity. To add, in the most recent AV-TEST evaluation, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has been recognized with the 'Top Product' award, demonstrating its continued excellence in cybersecurity and endpoint protection. This achievement underscores Acronis' dedication to providing partners and businesses with trusted, high-performance security solutions. 0 0

ESET named a notable provider in latest European MDR Landscape report

Dubai, UAE: ESET, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, is proud to announce its recognition as a 'Notable Provider' in Forrester's recently released The Managed Detection and Response Services in Europe Landscape, Q2 2025 report. The report provides an overview of 26 MDR providers and serves as a strategic guide for security and risk (S&R) professionals seeking to navigate the evolving European MDR landscape. As outlined in the report*, Forrester defines MDR services as: 'Services that augment extended detection and response (XDR) tools with telemetry from network, identity, cloud, APIs, applications, and other log sources to produce high-fidelity detections, conduct investigations, support remote incident response, enable security automation, initiate threat hunts to identify adversaries that circumvent security controls, and help improve their clients' overall security posture.' In our view, ESET´s inclusion in the report underscores its growing influence in the European cybersecurity market and reaffirms the company's commitment to delivering high-quality, proactive threat detection and response capabilities. 'We are proud to be recognized by Forrester as a Notable Provider in the European MDR landscape,' said Michal Jankech, Vice President, Enterprise & SMB/MSP, at ESET. 'For us, this acknowledgment is a testament to the relentless dedication of our global teams and our unwavering commitment to protecting organizations across Europe with cutting-edge, resilient cybersecurity solutions. As the threat landscape becomes increasingly complex and adversaries more sophisticated, we believe that MDR must evolve beyond traditional detection and response. At ESET, we are focused on delivering intelligent and cost-effective services that not only detect threats but also empower organizations to respond with speed, precision, and confidence.' The European MDR market is becoming increasingly competitive and mature, leading customers to demand better services at lower costs. To stay competitive, providers are innovating with their offerings and pricing. As a consequence, S&R professionals will have a wide range of provider options to consider. CyberKnight and ON2IT bring Zero Trust as a Service to META

Dubai, UAE — CyberKnight, the Middle East's value-added distributor dedicated to Zero Trust security, and ON2IT, the pioneer of Zero Trust as a Service (ZTaaS), today announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration is aimed at helping enterprise and government organizations across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) move away from perimeter-based defenses. Their unified Zero Trust framework lowers cyber-risk, bolsters compliance and reduces operational cost. ' The Zero Trust approach delivers the resilience to mitigate cyber risk, enables modern business capabilities and a hybrid workforce, and provides the flexibility to enable appropriate access methods, while removing implicit access based on location. By 2026, 10 percent of large enterprises will have a mature and measurable Zero Trust program in place, up from less than 1 percent today.' — Gartner 'Zero Trust is no longer optional.' — Forrester, Chase Cunningham, Principal Analyst These analyst findings underline an urgent reality: in a fast-changing world defined by AI-driven threats and escalating geopolitical tensions, Zero Trust has become a business necessity, not a 'nice-to-have'. (Forrester, Information Week Prevention, Not Just Detection ON2IT's Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service runs on its AUXO™ security platform, which ingests log data from any IT, OT or cloud source -without the complexity of a traditional SIEM. Each event is analyzed both in real time and retrospectively against the AUXO Threat Intel Feed™. It's then routed through EventFlow™ and, when necessary, escalated to ON2IT's 24/7 SOC. The result is a prevention-first approach that blocks attacks before they escalate while cutting data-storage overhead and tool sprawl. Executive Commentary 'Current security stacks weren't built for today's cyber war,' said Wael Jaber, Chief Strategy Officer at CyberKnight. 'By adding ON2IT's Zero Trust as a Service to our portfolio, we give META customers direct access to globally proven Zero Trust Readiness, Fast Track and Coaching services, empowering them to adopt Zero Trust with confidence, clarity and ease.' 'CyberKnight and ON2IT are proud to join forces to offer globally leading Zero Trust consulting services across the Middle East and Africa,' said Marcel van Eemeren, CEO & Co-founder of ON2IT. 'With a decade of Zero Trust leadership and a SOC-driven, prevention-first approach, ON2IT delivers modular, scalable services tailored to each organization's unique needs. Through this partnership, META organizations gain the same Zero Trust strategies trusted by global leaders and mandated by governments, no SIEM required, no trade-offs made.'
