Diddy On Trial ‘Jane' tells court of sex night with different famous rapper

BBC News18 hours ago

The former partner of Sean 'Diddy' Combs has finished her fifth and final day of testimony at his trial. 'Jane', who is using a pseudonym to protect her identity, was cross-examined by Diddy's defence and asked more questions by the prosecution. She also told the court about a sex night in Las Vegas with another famous rapper and his girlfriend.
She testified about 'hotel nights', Diddy paying her rent and lavish birthday parties, telling the court that she would have given all the gifts back if 'she didn't have to have sex with men other than Diddy'. The defence asked 'Jane' about the thousands of dollars she received from Diddy during their relationship, in addition to her rent.
Anoushka Mutanda-Dougherty speaks to BBC New York correspondent Nada Tawfik and criminal defence attorney Shaun Kent about the week in court.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is on trial in New York, facing federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering with conspiracy and transportation for prostitution. He denies all the charges.

Taylor Swift makes surprise visit to children's hospital amid swirling Travis Kelce marriage rumors

Taylor Swift made a sweet surprise visit to a local children's hospital on Friday in Florida. Her visit comes just hours after her loved up appearance at the Stanley Cup Final with partner Travis Kelce. The A-list couple's PDA filled outing to the game - whih was the Florida Panthers against the Edmonton Oilers came amid rumors they secretly wed. Taylor's visit on Friday took place at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital with the megastar stopping and talking to patients, staff and families. The Grammy award winning artist looked beautiful in a teal dress with her hair loose around her. One night earlier, Taylor and Travis had all eyes on them as they attended the Stanley Cup Final in Florida. Swift, 35, and Kelce, 35, held hands as they made their grand arrival at Amerant Bank Arena to watch the Florida Panthers play the Edmonton Oilers. Fans were on the lookout for any clues as they tuned in to see the A-list couple interact with one another in their VIP seats. While Swift wasn't flashing a wedding ring, the 13-time Grammy winner did give nod to her love for the NFL hunk in hidden details in her nearly $16,000 game day outfit. She was wearing several items that displayed her love for the NFL hunk. On her left wrist, Swift had on a sparkly diamond 'TNT' bracelet — short for 'Travis and Taylor' — that Kelce famously had custom made for her. Kelce surprised Swift with the tennis bracelet, as well as a matching version for himself, in early 2024. According to People, Taylor's bracelet was created by Wove Made Inc. Jewelers with 14K yellow gold and 4.62 carats lab-grown diamonds. The football star reportedly paid $6,360 for the flashy, personalized gift. The couple , who have been enjoying a romantic vacation in Florida during Kelce's NFL offseason break, were spotted at Amerant Bank Arena less than hour after rumors of their attendance first surfaced. According to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski, a helicopter was seen landing near the venue roughly 50 minutes before the puck drop, with the VIP entrance and elevators to the press box also closed to the public as Kelce and Swift made their grand arrival. After the game had begun, they were first seen walking through the corridors of the arena and heading to their seats in footage captured by Canadian network Sportsnet. They were then picked out by TNT Sports cameras sitting in the stands as Travis showed his girlfriend something on his phone. As the game went on, Swift was spotted kissing her boyfriend during a lull in the action. The superstar placed a hand on Kelce's face and planted a kiss on his lips several times before sharing a laugh together. Kelce and Swift had been keeping a relatively low profile this offseason until they were seen having dinner together in West Palm Beach last month. They then briefly left Florida to attend the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's family wedding in Nashville last week. Taylor gave guests the shock of a lifetime after joining her man as he celebrated his cousin, Tanner Corum, tying the knot. The pop megastar's appearance at the wedding in Nashville came just a few days after her and Travis' latest glitzy date night together. They were seen visiting Buccan, a James Beard-nominated restaurant in Palm Beach, and before leaving the establishment hand-in-hand as they greeted fans while making their way home in a black SUV. Swift and Kelce have been making the most of some down time together before the latter gets his NFL training camp underway next month.

Drunk Karen learns harsh lesson after forcing entire plane to deboard because of her entitled antics

A drunk Delta airlines passenger forced an entire plane to deboard after refusing to get off ended up slapped in handcuffs over her antics. The woman, named Alicia, could barely keep her eyes open as she refused to get off a plane from Dallas to Boston on April 14, 2024, newly-revealed bodycam footage showed. While on the aircraft, she admitted to having two shots, but after deplaning, she claimed to have had six glasses of wine while waiting for her delayed flight. A flight attendant also told police Alicia had a glass of prosecco and two shots of tequila while on board. Police repeatedly asked Alicia to get off the plane, but she ignored them and refused to get up. Her stubborn behavior meant every other passenger had to get off the flight so she could be physically removed by cops. 'I do not trust this state and I'm trying to go home,' she said, slurring her words. 'So do not hold me here.' 'You need to stand up and get off the airplane, ma'am,' the officer replied. 'No, I don't,' she replied, eyes still closed. While on the aircraft, she admitted to having two shots, but after deplaning, she claimed to have had six glasses of wine while waiting for her delayed flight. A flight attendant also told police Alicia had a glass of prosecco and two shots of tequila while on board Police brought on EMTs hoping to 'sweet talk her off,' but were unsuccessful, forcing police to make every passenger deplane. As officers go to handcuff her, she began to resist. 'Give me my one and only warning back,' she begged. 'Why would you do that? Why would you do that? All I was trying to do was fly home?' she said, her voice sounding horse. She then started questioning what she did wrong, and police reiterated to her that she refused to get off the aircraft. 'Because you didn't want to fly me?' she replied. 'Ma'am, I'm not the airlines,' the officer said. As she was walking up the jet bridge, she spit on the ground. As they rounded the corner back into the terminal, she was met with the large crowd of fellow passengers, who 'booed' her as she walked by. Alicia was placed under arrest for criminal trespassing and public intoxication. As they escorted her to the squad car, she became difficult, throwing herself to the ground inside the airport before refusing to allow officers to check her for weapons. 'Ma'am, I will prone you out if you don't stop kicking,' an officer said, referring to the position where a person is laid facedown on the ground. Officers forced her into the position as they held her handcuffed wrists. Eventually, they put her into the squad car. Video footage from inside the car showed Alicia kicking the vehicle and hyperventilating, before telling officers to 'stop going through my s**t.' 'All I did was try and peacefully get out of a f**king plane,' she wailed. She changed tune as officers got in the car, asking: 'Can I please have a cigarette?' As she got out of the car at the station, she asked them: 'Can I have my vape?' 'No, you can't have your vape,' an officer replied. 'I need a cigarette,' she said, before whining: 'Can I please just have one ciggy?' Alicia did not stop resisting arrest after entering the station. When a female officer asked her to 'undo your hands, please,' the young woman sassily replied: 'Undo my cuffs and I will.' Officers repeatedly asked to cooperate, leading her to let out a high-pitched wail: 'No! What did I even do wrong?' Eventually, she was led into a room and once again laid in a prone position, her hair spread out around her as they removed her over shirt and jewelry.

Weight-loss Lizzo owes fans an apology for hypocrisy after building career on ‘body positivity' – they've been betrayed

USUALLY when one of showbusiness's more corpulent constituents is pictured 'showcasing their incredible weight loss' you need a laser measure to verify it. Like when Gemma Collins 'flaunts her new figure ' in some social media photobomb, she always looks the same size as she ever is, if not bigger. 8 8 So when I saw a headline about plus-sized popstar Lizzo 's ' transformation ' I eye-rolled so hard I could see my neck. Then bam! There she was, a whole 1,000st lighter, looking more like that 200-year-old glass flute she famously played than the double bass of old. Squeezed into a basque at the BET Awards in LA this week, she dropped jaws with a silhouette that wouldn't look out of place from Kim K. Where the hell had the rest of her gone? Blame it on the juice diet? Maybe. Because according to Lizzo, it wasn't fashionable weight-loss jabs like Ozempic that cut 16 per cent of her body fat so quickly, Nope. Definitely not. Instead, she claims, she's been dipping into the tuck box less, getting her steps in and pumping iron on Instagram for what she calls her ' weight release'. OK. But the real mystery is why she's lost the weight in the first place. After all, this once spherical superstar was perfectly happy with her dramatic dimensions. We know this because she never stopped telling us. Her whole vibe was about being a 'body icon' for the bigger-boned, once declaring: 'I know I'm fat. It doesn't bother me. I like being fat, and I'm beautiful and I'm healthy.' So happy was she with her curves she styled herself as a big bouncy beacon of hope for all the plus-sized girls out there. A put-upon demographic she described as: 'Girls with back fat, girls with bellies that hang, girls with thighs that aren't separated, that overlap. Girls with stretch marks . . . girls who are in the 18-plus club.' And with her Big Grrrls schtick and 'thick b****' chat, Lizzo wasn't just promoting 'body positivity'. It went further. Being fat was reframed as having a superpower and by extension more 'real' than other body shapes, especially all those 'skinny hos' (her words) who decorate the pop world. She even launched her own Amazon Prime reality TV series, Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, which hunted for plus-sized backing dancers. As she put it: 'What I'm doing is stepping into my confidence and my power to create my own beauty standard. And one day that will just be the standard.' So what are her devotees to think now? Is she finally admitting that perhaps her exuberant promotion of obesity was a bit, you know, irresponsible? Phoney narcissist Perhaps she's subconsciously pointing fans to recent research that suggested people her age, 37, who are obese, have a 52 per cent higher chance of a premature death? Or the huge rise in obesity-related cancers affecting the breast, uterus and — apologies for spoiling your breakfast — rectum. Is that what you're telling us, Lizzo? Because so far, all we've heard is a load of claptrap about 'new perspectives'. It's no surprise that the star's fans have blasted her outrageous hypocrisy. They feel betrayed, sold a pup by someone who they admired and who they felt spoke for them but seems to have turned out to be another phoney narcissist. One summed it up, saying: 'She's becoming exactly what she spent the past decade saying she would never be.' Such is her Damascene conversion, she has even been accused of fat-shaming her own dancers, something she denies. The new Small Grrrl Lizzo probably doesn't care about any backlash. A quadruple Grammy-winning star worth $40million, she is certainly not stupid and knows that while you can probably carry off being a 28st superstar when you're 28, as you approach your forties you may soon find yourself dancing with death. She does not want to sacrifice her lucrative career on the altar of her cynical virtual signalling. So hang the fans. But what a con. Building a world for her followers that she has no intention of living in herself and refusing to be honest about why that is. She owes her fans a proper explanation — and an apology. It's about damn time. SHOW SENSE, SHEIKH I'VE never been to Dubai and have very little interest in doing so. Visiting a scorching hot sand pit packed with moronic Towie types is not a holiday, it's a prison sentence. And for British teenager Marcus Fakana, it literally is. The 19-year-old lad was caught sleeping with a girl a few months younger than him during a trip there last year. He was 18 at the time but the girl was only 17, so cops arrested him for breaching Dubai's age of consent, which is 18, and sentenced him to a year in some godforsaken jail. He has now submitted a plea imploring the state's leader, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to show him mercy. I hope he gets it. What possible good does his incarceration do for anyone? Our craven politicians – and royals (he was mates with the Queen) – roll out the red carpet when the oil-drenched Sheikh comes over here. It's time for him to return that goodwill and let poor Marcus come home. ORLANDO BLOOMIN' BONKERS 8 THE lesser-spotted actor Orlando Bloom has spent £10,000 trying to remove all the microplastics from his blood. Wow, they saw him coming, didn't they? Doctors were quick to question the bizarre practice, with one sniping: 'I am not sure that it removes anything from the patient other than a lot of cash.' Ouch! It got me thinking of that famous picture of Orlando, paddle-boarding with his missus Katy Perry, with his willy out. We all assumed he was naked but perhaps he was just proudly wearing The Emperor's New Wetsuit? OLIA'S MOVING MEMOIR 8 RUSSIA' S barbaric war with Ukraine has so far displaced more than ten million citizens. Two of those forced to flee were the parents of my very dear friend, the chef and food writer Olia Hercules. They lost their cherished home in Kakhovka, southern Ukraine, after Russian troops stormed in in April 2022, seizing everything in their path. Olia, who lives in London with her British husband and two kids, has written about the harrowing experience and how it reshaped her family, in her new memoir Strong Roots: A Ukrainian Family Story of War, Exile And Hope. It is an important book you can't put down, spanning several generations that brings to life what war and oppression does to proud people. But it is also a beautifully written and inspiring story about the enduring power of the human spirit. It's released on Thursday and I cannot recommend it enough. EIGHT hundred of Poundland 's stores have been sold for £1. Finally, something you can get from them that does only cost a quid. BEYONCE'S GONE A BIT 'SPURSY' POOR old Beyonce has been forced to find seat fillers for her UK stadium shows, after punters refused to pay up to £620 to watch her pretend to be a cowboy. She's booked in for six gigs at Tottenham Hotspur's 62,850-capacity stadium but hasn't sold out a single night. Yikes! Still, at least Mrs Carter can take some comfort from knowing that she's not the only one to experience great disappointment at the home of the Premier League 's 17th best team. WHAT'S THE COVER STORY SABRINA? 8 SABRINA Carpenter appears to have been watching too many Bonnie Blue videos. How else to explain her crass new album cover, which sees her on all fours as some random bloke lifts up her hair while presumably demanding she Please Please Please him? You can't see his face but maybe it's that Robin Thicke dude, who sleazed all over those naked models in his creepy Blurred Lines video. After proudly loading up the image on Instagram and hitting 'share', Sabrina's timeline exploded, with fans branding it 'disgusting', 'misogynistic' and an insult to domestic abuse survivors. I'm sure the increasingly sexualised Sabrina, desperate to shed her Disney puppet past, thinks it's all on-brand and hey, it's done the job – everyone is talking about it. But what message does this lame cover send to her young fans, who presumably make up the bulk of her fanbase? Like my daughter, 11, who thinks she's amazing. What am I supposed to say when she asks: 'Daddy, why is Sabrina on her knees like that?'
