Things To Do Around NYC Commuters can draw a lot of inspiration from the ride or a walk around the city. An artist who uses an IPad to create multi-media art in transit is known as 'Subway Doodle.' 'I started drawing on the subway commuting everyday and I challenged myself to draw something during the commute,' he said. The artist says the pieces reflect life as a New Yorker, the things he observed, and the shared experiences. Subway Doodle is up at the Banksy Museum along Canal Street at Broadway. Pizza war continues: New Yorkers try Connecticut pizza

CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — The Connecticut vs. New York pizza wars continue. Connecticut pokes the bear with new pizza billboards trolling New York After declaring Connecticut the 'Pizza Capital of the United States' with some not-so-subtle signs, our state's marketing team headed down to the Big Apple to visit Lombardi's, America's first pizzeria. While they were there, they handed out some apizza and got New Yorkers to weigh in. 'New Yorkers love it,' Scott Wiener, founder of Scott's Pizza Tours, said. 'We just like a pizza that you can walk around and eat and you don't have to sit down at the table for it.' While New Yorkers admitted that they like Connecticut's pizza, they do not think it's the best in the country. Something that they did agree on is that Chicago's famous deep-dish pizza does not come close to the east coast. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
