Australian radio star Woody Whitelaw reveals live on-air he's about to become a dad for a second time
Radio presenter Woody Whitelaw has revealed that he is expecting his second child with his wife, Mimi Gibbs.
The happy couple, who tied the knot last year in a ceremony surrounded by friends and family, already share two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Remi.
On Tuesday, Woody announced the news on his KIIS FM radio show Will & Woody.
'So Will, you are currently completely dressed as Elsa here in the studio,'' Woody said.
'A little bit embarrassed, I'd say, because you thought the reason I've brought my daughter and my wife in here was to try and convince her to take off her Elsa dress by pretending to be Elsa. Well, that's not actually why my wife and my daughter are in here. You can leave the dress on, though.'
'I just have a question to ask Remi. Hey Remi, what is in Mummy's tummy?,' he continued.
Remi then replied: 'A baby'.
Woody went on to share that he and Mimi haven't learned the gender of the new baby yet.
'It is quite stressful though, because every time we say to her, do you want a brother or a sister, she says a sister. It's going to be quite awkward (if it's a boy),'' Melbourne artist Mimi said on-air.
Meanwhile, it's been a busy few months for the couple who tied the knot back in November.
The loved-up pair exchanged vows at the picturesque Euroa Butter Factory in regional Victoria, in front of friends and family including their daughter Remi, who walked down the aisle before greeting her dad with a big hug.
Mimi was stunning in a white floor-length, one-shoulder gown complete with side split which was designed by Oglia Loro Couture, while the radio star kept it classic with a black tuxedo from Politix. The bride then opted for a shorter dress for the reception, wearing a flirty mini-dress by Elissa Marie Design, who also designed the mismatched black bridesmaid dresses.
Their wedding came two years after the radio host proposed to Mimi in their backyard, surprising her with a diamond ring as she lounged on a sun-bed.
'Are you proposing?' a shocked Mimi asked at the time.
'I was just wondering if maybe you'd like to marry me,' he replied, before she quickly said, 'Yes.'
The artist then shared a photos of the special moment on Instagram, which she captioned, 'Stuck with me forever #yesplease.'
