EXCLUSIVE Sharon Osbourne's reclusive daughter Aimee, 41, has grown close to Elvis impersonating rock singer, 29

Daily Mail20 hours ago

Ozzy and Sharon Osborne's reclusive eldest daughter Aimee is travelling the world with a US rock band after growing close to their lead singer, MailOnline can reveal.
The 41-year-old is believed to be 'besotted' with Elvis Presley impersonating rock singer Wes Leavins, who is the frontman of Chicago group Brigitte Calls Me Baby, and attended their two most recent gigs in London.
Last weekend, Aimee made a rare public outing when she was pictured with Leavins, 29, emerging from a hotel in Manchester, where the rockers had been supporting Morrissey during his home-coming gig in the city on Saturday night.
When asked if the pair were at item, Aimee simply answered 'no', but according to insiders, her coy response was in keeping with the shy star's bid to keep away from the spotlight.
An insider told Mailonline: 'Aimee and Wes clearly share a deep connection.
'She would never go public with anybody, as she's so private.
'So she's happy to continue slipping under the radar and getting on with her life without the attention her other family receives, which is handy when you want to keep a blossoming relationship under wraps.
Aimee famously shunned the MTV reality show The Osbournes which made stars of her siblings Kelly and Jack as well as boosting her parents' fame.
She's rarely seen in public, which is why her most recent pictures caused a stir online as her face has dramatically changed since her last appearance courtesy of her chiseled facial features and plumped lips.
Brigitte Calls Me Baby - formed in 2016 and who take their name from Leavins' teenage pen-pal correspondence with French actress Brigitte Bardot - are currently on the British leg of their global tour.
Following their gig in Manchester, they played The Horn in St Albans, Hertfordshire on Tuesday night, which was when she was quizzed about the rumoured romance.
Aimee attended the gig and seemingly tried going incognito wearing sunglasses and a woolly beanie hat and stood at the back briefly while the band performed.
The following night, she turned up to the band's gig at The Sebright Arms in Hackney, arriving at the East London pub at 8.30pm in a cab - two and a half hours after the band turned up in a white tour van.
Whilst Leavins and bandmates; guitarists Jack Fluegel and Trevor Lynch, bassist Devin Wessels, and drummer Jeremy Benshish, played the basement stage, Aimee - dressed in black - hovered around the bar talking to friends.
She was later joined by Texas-born Leavins following the band's hour-long show.
Clutching a takeaway pizza box, she left with the singer at 10.30pm and headed straight to the band's van, parked right outside the pub.
Leavins - who played Elvis Presley in a touring production of musical Million Dollar Quarter in 2022 - helped pack away the band's equipment while Aimee waited in the back before driving off at 11pm.
Leavins was still in high school when he was cast as a young Elvis in a touring production of Million Dollar Quartet, the musical about a legendary recording session at the Sun Records studio.
Film director Baz Luhrmann, who saw the show, was so impressed by Leavins that he later cold-called him to ask him to work as a consultant on his 2022 film Elvis.
His band, said to sound like a mix of Roy Orbison and The Smiths, have supported The Strokes and played London festival All Points East.
Rumours of a romance were first sparked by Aimee leaving sweet messages for Leavins and his bandmates on their Instagram page.
On several posts she pens heart emojis in the comments, while others see her sharing supportive messages ahead of his shows.
Aimee - who is also a singer and performs under her initials ARO - was born in London and raised in California until the age of 16 but moved out of the family home as filming for The Osbournes began in the early 2000s.
Reflecting on her decision to not appear on the show she said: 'Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?
'I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.'
She later defended her decision in 2008 and told The Independent: 'I'm not some weirdo depressed daughter that's afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day.
'I just didn't choose to do the show. I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away.
'[Sharon] was hurt, and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I'm more reserved and my private life is very important.'

Aimee also has a strained relationship with younger sister Kelly, who confirmed in an interview four years ago that they are estranged.
Appearing on the Dax Shepard podcast - Armchair Expert in 2021, Kelly revealed: 'We don't talk. We're just really different.
'She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her.'
Back in 2015 Aimee admitted to The Independent that she and Kelly were not on close terms and said: 'I wouldn't say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialize? No.'
However, Aimee and brother Jack's bond is much better, with the pair both running production company Osbourne Media together.
The siblings are also in the process of co-producing a biopic about their parents, according to Variety magazine.

Expert reveals the phone lock screen which could mean that you're a self-absorbed 'narcissist'

Choosing what to use as the background of your phone lock screen is a small decision - but it could say a lot about you. Take US President Donald Trump, for example, who was lambasted last week for adorning his phone screen with a photograph of none other than himself. Social media users spotted a golden opportunity to mock the president after the reveal when he alighted Air Force One last month. It clearly showed an image of the POTUS himself from July 2019, pointing straight at the camera - or at himself whenever he looks at it. Critics said it was evidence of Trump's 'narcissistic' personality, branding him as 'self-absorbed'. But what does yours say about the persona you project to the outside world? While they aren't necessarily accurate depictions of the device owner's personality, it's safe to say that, for most people, wallpapers serve as great place for snaps of loved ones, cherished pets, or anything that could put a positive spin on the day. Holly Beedon, Clinical Lead from Living Well UK, told Femail that it can offer a 'subtle but revealing window into how we see ourselves, what we value, and where our attention naturally drifts'. What we choose for our phone lock screen can sometimes reflect certain traits of our personality or life stage that we are in, says expert Holly Beedon. Stock image used 'While there's no definitive psychological diagnosis to be made from a single image, patterns and preferences can hint at our emotional priorities and unconscious self-messaging,' she continued. If you, like Trump, have a selfie of yourself as your phone lock screen, you may be seen as 'somewhat self-centred', she continued - adding that, 'in some cases, this is true'. 'This kind of imagery could be tied to narcissistic traits – specifically the desire to admire one's own image, or curate a specific identity.' However, she caveats that 'it's not always that simple'. 'Some people use a flattering photo of themselves during a period when they felt confident, motivated, or empowered – this almost serves a visual pep talk to oneself,' she added. There are other, more practical reasons for why someone might choose a photo of themselves for their phone lock screen. Doing so can make it easier to return a lost phone to its rightful owner, for example. Holly continued: 'So, while self-image can certainly play a role, the intention behind the choice to make yourself your own lock screen matters just as much.' Meanwhile, picking a photo of a partner to look at whenever your phone lights up 'often reflects emotional closeness and romantic focus', she explained. 'It can signal that the relationship is central to that person's life or that they find comfort and motivation in seeing their significant other daily. For some, it's a private way of reinforcing connection and intimacy in a busy or stressful life.' This could be the reason behind Kylie Jenner's phone screen, which she revealed in 2023 had a snap of boyfriend Timothee Chalamet leaning in to kiss her cheek. Some people choose to use photos of their family members, such as children or parents, and this usually represents 'strong emotional bonds and values rooted in caregiving, tradition, or identity'. Mike Tindall demonstrated this in 2019 when he revealed an adorable family photo featuring his wife Zara Tindall and their daughter Mia, who was five at the time, on his phone screen while he was away in Japan. Parents with multiple children tread in dangerous waters, though, if they display just one child on their lock screen. It doesn't necessarily mean that the child who lights up the screen is their 'favourite', but that could be how others might perceive it, Holly warned. 'It might simply be the most recent photo taken, or one that captures a particularly proud moment,' she remarked. 'Still, if this is a consistent pattern, it could suggest a closer bond with one child, or that they identify more strongly with that particular relationship.' Having a photo of friends on a lock screen can often indicate that the device owner is someone who 'thrives on social connection and values their chosen relationships deeply'. How you come to the decision of who takes pride of place on your phone screen can be a surprisingly emotional decision, and having friends there could reflect 'a stage of life where friendships are the primary support system'. As Britons become ever more pet-obsessed - with figures showing an estimated 60 per cent of UK households owning at least one pet - it's no surprise that our furry friends are a popular lock screen choice. Having them on your phone can represent a strong emotional attachment, and could also mean your pet is a source of daily comfort. 'Pets often bring a calming or joyful energy to someone's day,' Holly continued. 'And having them on a lock screen can reflect that soothing or stabilising role.' People and pets aside, some phone owners prefer to have images of nature or scenery, which might suggest a need for calm, inspiration, or escapism, the expert added. 'People who use these photos may value mindfulness, solitude, or feel most themselves when outdoors,' she explained. 'Sometimes, these photos serve as visual reminders to slow down or to mentally return to a peaceful place during the stress of daily life.' Others yet have photos of seemingly random objects - but Holly says these are 'rarely random at all' and usually represent something meaningful to the person whose phone it is. It could be anything from 'a goal, an aesthetic, a private joke, or a vision board of sorts'. Some people may even use their phone lock screen as a means of visualisation or manifestation, using it as 'daily cues to focus the mind and align behaviours with a goal'. Finally, there's the phone owners who simply have a blank screen - although these people are increasingly few and far between. If you do come across someone who has nothing at all on their phone background, it could be because they prefer minimalism, privacy, or to avoid distractions as much as possible. 'A blank lock screen might reflect a desire for digital simplicity, or a subtle resistance to the emotional pull of personal photos,' Holly suggested. 'For others, it's simply a way to protect mental space - deliberately not engaging with their phone on an emotional level. 'Ultimately, a lock screen isn't a psychological blueprint, you can't know somebody through such a small detail - but it can be a telling snapshot of what someone wants to see – how they want to feel - or be reminded of - multiple times a day.'

Where is Dido now? How iconic Noughties singer, 53, who raked in £1M a MONTH vanished from the spotlight amid family tragedy and swapped fame for a 'very ordinary life'

Dido found fame in 1999 with her debut album No Angel, which featured hit song Thank you, and along with follow Life For Rent remains among the best-selling albums in UK chart history. The songstress, now 53, was then catapulted to superstardom when she duetted with Eminem on his iconic track Stan, won numerous awards, sold a whopping 40M records and briefly became the world's biggest female pop star, raking in a whopping £1M every month. But Dido, whose real name is Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong, suddenly at the height of her fame vanished from the spotlight, revealing years later her shock decision to embrace a 'very ordinary life' was in fact due to a family tragedy. The singer, who this year released a special anniversary vinyl edition of her debut No Angel, told MailOnline in 2019: 'I needed to come home, my father was ill and there were more important issues going on than my career.' Dido's father, publisher William O'Malley Armstrong - who has not been pictured - was a colourful character on the literary scene, had developed lupus, a degenerative auto-immune disease. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I wanted to be home where I could go and see my dad every day. That was more important than anything. When you have lupus you know you are going to die, so we all had time to be with him, to say everything we wanted, but death still comes as a shock.' Dido revealed was singing one of his favourite Irish songs, Raglan Road, to her beloved father when he passed away in 2006 aged 69, just three days before her 34th birthday. After her father's death, she flew to Los Angeles: 'I went for a few weeks to give myself space to think about my dad and that turned into two years'. Admitting the only music she could write in that time were songs about her father: 'They were so personal. I performed them only once in Los Angeles and it was too hard.' Her next album 2008's Safe Trip Home was largely overlooked and failed to make an impact in the charts, but while in LA she met and later married children's author Rohan Gavin and in 2011 gave birth to their son Stanley. Dido made her comeback in 2019 with album Still on My Mind before going on to work with the likes of newer pop stars Grimes, said despite her quieter public image has continued making music. She told The Telegraph: 'I have been having a lovely time, being with my family, seeing friends, seeing the world, But the music never stopped. 'I am always singing, always writing songs. Music is how I make sense of the world. I just stopped playing it to anyone but my family'. She told MailOnline in 2019: 'I needed to come home, my father was ill and there were more important issues going on than my career' (pictured 2001) Dido revealed she was singing one of her father's favourite Irish songs to him when he passed away in 2006 aged 69, just three days before her 34th birthday (Pictured 2003) Later admitting that she had struggled to write quality songs after becoming a mother, telling Graham Norton on his BBC 2 Radio show in 2019: 'After I had my son I definitely have a couple of years where most of what I wrote wasn't very good'. 'I actually knew it at the time, when I write songs there's always a bit conflicted, but then when I had a kid I thought ''I'm quite happy'. In her 20 years of showbusiness Dido scooped four BRIT Awards and been nominated for two Grammy's, and was even nominated for an Academy Award in 2011 for the song If I Rise, which featured in the film 127 Hours. But she now lives a much quieter life and said she can travel around London on public transport without being recognised. 'I have no problem living a very ordinary life, Very occasionally someone will come up to me and say: 'You look a bit like that singer called…' She continued: 'And most times they don't even remember the name, so I smile and get on with what I'm doing.' She now lives a much quieter life and said she can travel around London on public transport without being recognised (pictured on stage in 2019) But now at the age of 53 said she refuses to bow down to record companies and will only tour and release music on her terms. 'I couldn't do anything if I was pressurised. That has never worked for me,'. The singer, who is no reportedly worth £10M, spoke candidly about her wealth but said she doesn't buy 'big things' like flashy sports cars, saying instead that money has bought her freedom. 'The benefits of having money are being able just to get up and go to the Grand Canyon because you all really want to see it. And then to be able to talk to your son and your husband about it for years afterwards.' WHAT IS LUPUS? What is lupus? It is one of the chronic autoimmune conditions, where the body makes antibodies against itself and starts to attack it. Lupus – Systemic Lupus Erythematotsus (SLE) – has a range of severity. Some sufferers will have only mild problems, others have life-threatening organ damage to the heart and the kidneys. What are the symptoms? Tiredness, joint pains and muscle aches. A common first symptom is joint stiffness, particularly in the mornings. Other problems include depression and lung and heart disease, as well as kidney inflammation. What can it be mistaken for? It is often mistaken for other joint problems such as rheumatoid arthritis which is also characterised by morning joint stiffness. It can also be misdiagnosed as a skin or blood disease. How is it diagnosed? If your GP suspects SLE they will request a blood test. The specific antibodies that attack the body can be measured in the blood. The diagnosis is made when there is the combination of typical symptoms and high antibodies. Who is at risk? SLE is ten times more common in women than men and usually develops between the ages 12 and 25. What is the treatment?
