Heavy rain continues to fall across North Texas Thursday morning, prompting another First Alert Weather Day.
The heaviest rain is falling east of I-35 in areas that have already picked up nearly 6" of rain in the last 24 hours. Ponding on roads will be a risk for some during the Thursday morning commute.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, the ground is still saturated from the multiple rounds of rain this week. Showers will linger in DFW through midday but widespread coverage is in eastern counties.

A flood watch remains in effect for parts of North Texas, including Denton, Grayson, Collin, Parker, Tarrant and Dallas counties, through this evening.
In Palo Pinto County, the Santo Volunteer Fire Department reported up to 4' of water on roads late Wednesday night.
Fog could be a concern Friday morning from the heavy rainfall.
By Father's Day, skies will be partly cloudy with winds coming from the southwest around 5 to 10 mph. Conditions will likely stay dry, but an isolated storm will remain possible.
The active weather pattern continues throughout this week but will clear up by next Tuesday.

Our chances of rain are starting to slip as we enter the weekend. Dry air moving in from the Caribbean will reduce rain chances and lead to warmer temperatures for the next week. Saturday's best chance of rain is in the middle of the afternoon. Areas west of Orlando will have the best chance of rain during the afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, but can't be ruled out. Warm front puts Father's Day into the 70s, chances for storms push into next week
Spotty showers roll into Minnesota early Saturday morning, but will exit to the east east, allowing for some dry time. However, the clouds stick around keeping highs in the mid to upper 60s. There's a chance for an isolated shower or storm Saturday evening, but it looks like a better chance for scattered storms arrives overnight and again on Sunday, Father's Day. With a warm front slowly lifting in the north, temperatures will be a bit warmer, sliding into the mid to upper 70s for Father's Day. Even more storms are expected into the early part of the work week, but timing the waves that far out is difficult at this time. Stay with WCCO as we continue to fine tune this part of the forecast. High temperatures will continue to trend up into the 80s for most of next week. Greatest rain totals look to be across central and southern Minnesota, where some places may see a total of two to four inches of rain. The end of next week looks a little drier as the pattern tries to break for some sunshine.

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Saturday morning and happy Father's Day weekend! Expect a mainly dry start this morning, with warm and muggy conditions. Temperatures are in the lower 70s to start the day. High temperatures will climb into the mid-80s today, but it will feel like the low to mid-90s when you factor in the heat index. If you are going to be outside for long periods, drink plenty of water and find shade when you can! There will be scattered showers and storms this afternoon to help cool things down at times. While severe weather is unlikely, localized instances of flash flooding may occur due to tropical downpours. The forecast will be copied and pasted for Father's Day. A few stray showers in the morning, with temperatures starting in the 70s. Father's Day afternoon will bring mid-80s temperatures, with a feel-like temperature in the low to mid-90s. Much like today, scattered downpours and storms will develop for Father's Day afternoon, which could lead to more localized flash flooding issues. This hot and muggy pattern will continue for next week, along with afternoon and evening scattered storm chances.
