is expanding its ready-to-cook frozen snack portfolio with a focus on Indian street-style flavours. The company has officially launched its
Mumbai Aloo Vada
and is set to roll out the
Spicy Paneer Patty
to tap into rising demand for diverse frozen offerings among urban Indian consumers.
The new launches are part of HyFun's plan to scale its domestic retail operations and achieve Rs 100 crore in retail revenue in 2025, the company said in its previous interview with ETRetail. Quick commerce is expected to play a pivotal role in this strategy, contributing nearly 33% of B2C revenue next year — a fivefold increase over the previous year.

HyFun Foods recorded ₹1,450 crore in revenue in FY25 and is targeting ₹5,000 crore in overall revenue within five years through both domestic and global expansion. Currently, 70% of the company's revenue comes from exports to markets such as Southeast Asia and the Gulf. It has also begun supplying to Walmart in the US.
By 2028, the company aims for 50% of its total consumption to be driven by the Indian market, reflecting a significant strategic pivot toward domestic growth.

23andMe Judge Questions Limits for New Auction for Bankrupt Firm
(Bloomberg) -- The judge overseeing the bankruptcy of 23andMe questioned the limits proposed for a second auction that is designed to push bids higher than a current $256 million offer from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for the genetic-testing firm. US Bankruptcy Judge Brian Walsh asked lawyers for Regeneron and 23andMe to justify the limits they're supporting, but which have been criticized by the only other bidder, a California-based research institute backed by former 23andMe Chief Executive Officer Anne Wojcicki. Walsh has to decide whether to limit the auction in a way that gives Regeneron the chance for a final bid, but not Wojcicki and TTAM Research Institute. The current proposed rules for the auction appear to be 'inefficient,' said Walsh, who also questioned a $10 million breakup fee payable to Regeneron if it loses. All sides were present during a federal court hearing in St. Louis on Wednesday to determine how to revive bidding, after 23andMe held an auction last month that the company initially claimed that Regeneron won with a $256 million final bid. Wojcicki objected after the auction, arguing the bidding was unfairly closed in order to favor Regeneron. The current proposal is 'one-sided with a last look for Regeneron,' Wojcicki's lawyer, Susheel Kirpalani, told Walsh. 'There is absolutely not a level playing field.' Last month's auction lasted three days with each side accusing 23andMe of unfairly favoring their competitor, company bankruptcy attorney Christopher Hopkins said in court. Afterward, TTAM and Wojcicki made a bid that was 'substantially higher' than Regeneron's, he said. 23andMe then proposed a new, final bidding round with the current limits, which Regeneron accepted, but which Wojcicki opposes. Without the limits, Regeneron may cancel its $256 million bid, Hopkins argued. A wave of customers and government officials have demanded that 23andMe protect the genetic data it had built up over the years by collecting saliva samples from customers. Both bidders have pledged to comply with 23andMe's privacy policy, which allows customers to have their personal information deleted upon request. 23andMe filed for bankruptcy in March after failing to generate sustainable profits by providing medical and ancestry-related genetic testing to more than 15 million customers. Defence testing lab to come up at Sidco estate in Trichy
1 2 Trichy: Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (Tidco) has finalised a 1.4 acre site inside Thuvakudi Small Industries development Corporation (Sidco) industrial estate near NIT Trichy to develop Advancing Mechanical & Material Defence Testing lab at an outlay of Rs 50 crore. The integrated testing facility will function under public-private collaboration involving major public sector companies including BEML and HAL to engage in high-end testing and certification of materials for aerospace and defence companies in the state. Proposed under Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS), the lab, named System Testing and Research in Advanced Material (STREAM) foundation, will have comprehensive infrastructure comprising at least 40 testing machinery on 13,000 square feet floor space. As the state govt already has a built-up space of 3,000 square feet in Thuvakudi Sidco complex, Tidco has simultaneously launched procurement procedures to buy material testing equipment while expanding the built-up space. "The aerospace and defence testing lab will decentralize the investment and boost Tamil Nadu's leadership in defence and aerospace sector. Once the facility becomes operational, testing requirements will be satisfied locally, said Tidco officials. "The material testing lab in Thuvakudi is set to play an important role in the state's industrial ecosystem. Skill development service for workers will be provided at the lab. Volume of production done by local companies will certainly increase. Initially, around 30-40 people will be employed in the testing lab," Angayasamy Subbiah, managing partner, Vaidheswaran industries, an industry partner of the proposed STREAM Lab, said. The proposed common testing facility will provide quality certification and validation services for local industries to manufacture products for major defence and aerospace companies. "Not only defence and aerospace, even ancillary units of Bhel Trichy will benefit since material grade and quality testing is a key component in manufacturing," N Kanagasabapathy, coordinator, Bhel small-scale industries (Bhelsia), said. The integrated testing lab is set to become operational by December. Tidco said that the lab will run as a non-profit company, generating revenue only to sustain the operations and maintenance.
