Cat Paradise Hotel Launches Cat Sitting Service Amid Rescue Milestone
This development is part of Cat Paradise's ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive feline care. The centre has also recently reached a milestone, with over 150 rescued cats adopted through its cageless adoption centre. The adoption model allows cats and potential adopters to interact in a homely, cage-free environment, helping reduce mismatches and returned adoptions.
Many of the cats available for adoption are surrenders, already socialised and litter trained, while others are stray rescues that have undergone medical screening and socialisation before entering the centre. The centre's adoption process is thorough: visitors are guided through responsible pet ownership, screened for home readiness (such as meshing windows), and required to sign adoption contracts. This structured approach ensures each cat enters a stable, caring environment. Adoption donations go towards covering medical and upkeep costs, allowing the team to continue their rescue efforts. The process of integrating rescued cats into the café takes weeks to months, often requiring staff to rehabilitate cats from neglect or abuse before they are ready for adoption.

In addition to adoption services, Cat Paradise offers cat boarding services in Singapore. Some adopted cats return to board at the facility, reflecting continued relationships between adopters and the centre. To support future rescue efforts, the company has partnered with online pet retailer ExpressPetSupplies.sg, which donates a portion of proceeds to assist in funding care for more cats. Despite the challenges of rescue work, the team remains dedicated to giving each cat the time and space it needs to heal, socialise, and eventually find a loving, permanent home.
The new cat sitting service complements existing offerings by supporting cat owners who prefer their pets remain at home during their absence. It aligns with the centre's approach to providing consistent, long-term support for feline welfare.
Cat Paradise is a cageless adoption centre and boarding facility in Singapore dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of cats. The centre offers a home-like setting where visitors can interact with adoptable cats. In addition to adoption and boarding services, Cat Paradise has expanded to include professional cat sitting.

Angelina Jolie Has Some Thoughts on Brad Pitt's AA Meeting Reveal, Says ‘Source'
recently shared his experience about his AA meetings post-divorce with Angelina Jolie. The 'F1' star appeared on the latest episode of the 'Armchair Expert' podcast, where he told Dax Shepard about his time with Alcoholics Anonymous. However, a source claimed that his ex-wife allegedly has some thoughts about the interview. Reportedly, Pitt's confession felt like a 'PR' to her. Brad Pitt opened up about his 'difficult time' when he hit rock bottom after his separation from Angelina Jolie. In an interview with Dax Shepard on the 'Armchair Expert' podcast, he revealed that he was on his 'knees' during his journey to become sober. Further, he shared his experience during his AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings. While fans sympathized with Pitt's confession, his ex-wife might not think the same. According to ShuterScoop, a source said, 'To her, it feels like PR — not personal growth.' It seemed she was not buying her ex-husband's story and 'doesn't think a podcast fixes everything.' 'Brad's version plays well to the public, but behind the scenes, it's still a mess,' the insider added. In the podcast interview, the 'Fight Club' star stated that he was trying everything his well-wishers recommended. He confessed that he 'needed rebooting.' 'I needed to wake the f—— up in some areas. And it just meant a lot to me,' Pitt told Shepard. The 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' co-stars tied the knot in 2016. After two years, Jolie filed for divorce, which was finalized in December 2024. They went through an eight-year-long legal battle, fighting over their custody of six kids — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. Later, the mother won custody, followed by a rocky relationship between Pitt and the children. Over time, several sources claimed that the 61-year-old actor blamed Jolie for their kids' behaviour. Meanwhile, Pitt is currently dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon. Originally reported by Sushmita Sen on Reality Tea. Over 80,000 people flee severe flooding in southwest China
China is enduring a summer of extreme weather, with heat waves scorching wide swaths of the country while rainstorms pummel other regions. Around 80,900 people had been evacuated by Tuesday afternoon in the southwestern province of Guizhou, state news agency Xinhua reported. In Rongjiang county a football field was "submerged under three meters of water", the news agency said. Footage from state broadcaster CCTV showed severe flooding has inundated villages and collapsed a bridge in one mountainous area of the province. Rescuers pushed boats carrying residents through murky, knee-high water and children waited in a kindergarten as emergency personnel approached them, the footage showed. "The water rose very quickly," resident Long Tian told Xinhua. "I stayed on the third floor waiting for rescue. By the afternoon, I had been transferred to safety." A team was also seen preparing a drone to deliver supplies including rice to flood victims. And in a video circulated by local media, truck driver You Guochun recounted his harrowing rescue after he ended up perched over the edge of a broken bridge segment. "A bridge collapsed entirely in front of me," he said. "I was terrified." Extreme weather Floods have also hit the neighbouring Guangxi region, with state media publishing videos of rescuers there carrying residents to safety. Tens of thousands of people were evacuated last week in the central Chinese province of Hunan due to heavy rain. And nearly 70,000 people in southern China were relocated days earlier after heavy flooding caused by Typhoon Wutip. Chinese authorities issued the year's first red alerts last week for mountain torrents in six regions -- the most severe warning level in the country's four-tier system. Some areas in the affected regions were "extremely likely to be hit", Xinhua reported, with local governments urged to issue timely warnings to residents. Climate change -- which scientists say is exacerbated by greenhouse gas emissions -- is making such extreme weather phenomena more frequent and more intense. Authorities in Beijing this week issued the second-highest heat warning for the capital on one of its hottest days of the year so far. Last year was China's hottest on record and the past four were its warmest ever. China is the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter but is also a renewable energy powerhouse, seeking to cut carbon dioxide emissions to net zero by 2060.
