The Science stream last year saw a total pass percentage of 85.24%, while for Commerce, the percentage stood at 80.26%. Sohan Bhattacharjee of Laban Bengalee Boys' Hr Sec School, Shillong, topped the Science stream with 483 marks, and Ferry Filarisha Wann of St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Shillong, emerged as the Commerce stream topper with a score of 472.

Last year in Arts stream, 79.76 per cent of students were declared successful. Menangmankhraw Kharkongor of St Anthony's Higher Secondary School and Gaurav Bharali of St Edmund's Higher Secondary School shared the top position with 468 marks, while Tanisha Das and Salseng Marak, both of Don Bosco College Higher Secondary School in Tura, secured the second and third positions by scoring 451 and 450 marks, respectively.
Last year total, 27,374 students from 251 schools appeared for the exams. Of them, 21,833 or 79.76 per cent of students cleared the exams. In 2023, the pass percentage was 80.30.

The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination on Tuesday at its office in Chaltlang, Aizawl. Notably, there were 1,015 more female candidates than male. Among the 207 schools offering the Arts stream, 46 recorded a 100% pass rate, while two schools had no students pass. All 69 schools offering the Science stream saw their students pass, whereas two out of the 29 Commerce stream schools recorded zero pass rates.
