Kareena Calls Her Equation With Bhansali ‘Love And War', Tells Vicky 'We're Always Fluctuating'

Kareena Kapoor jokingly described her relationship with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as 'love and war' while chatting with Vicky Kaushal.
Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about her complex rapport with acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In a chat with Vicky Kaushal on The Hollywood Reporter, the actress gave a humorous yet revealing insight into their off-screen dynamic, calling it 'love and war', ironically the title of Bhansali's next film, which stars Vicky himself.
During a video interview for The Hollywood Reporter, Kareena and Vicky were discussing the much-hyped film Love & War, which will bring Vicky, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt together on screen. Sharing her thoughts on Vicky working with the celebrated director, Kareena said, 'I am waiting to see you in the Bhansali film. Of course, he is the Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Love and War is actually me and Sanjay. You can tell him that. He will understand. We have love and war."
Amused by her description, Vicky asked whether their relationship is currently in the 'love" phase or the 'war" phase. Kareena chuckled and said, 'We are always fluctuating," earning laughter from Vicky and fans alike.
Despite having never done a film together, Kareena and Bhansali share a history of near-collaborations. She was initially cast in Devdas, but was later replaced by Aishwarya Rai after creative differences. Years later, she was again in talks for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela but opted out and reportedly chose Gori Tere Pyaar Mein instead. Deepika Padukone ended up playing Leela, and the film went on to become a major success.
Given their dramatic ups and downs, fans often wonder if the duo will ever finally collaborate. For now, Kareena's comments have only added fuel to that fire.
As for Love & War, the film will mark Bhansali's return to an epic romantic narrative. It reunites him with Ranbir Kapoor after Saawariya, while Alia and Vicky round out the powerful cast.
