One of the NBA's most promising young stars, Anthony Edwards could have been at a crossroads with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A four-year saga involving the sale of the team put many questions into the heads of fans.
Rumors of the team leaving Minnesota for warmer weather have often cropped up -- and Glen Taylor had served as the last bastion in preventing that over the years.
However, after Taylor agreed to a $1.5 billion transfer of ownership of the team to Alex Rodriguez and Mark Lore in 2021, the Wolves became Western Conference contenders with Edwards at the heart of the franchise.
An ugly legal battle described as "bitter" and "emotional" played out over the terms of the transfer, conjuring more concerns about the future of the franchise and alienating Edwards with its dysfunction.

However, the NBA's Board of Governors officially authorized the sale of the team this week, prompting the Timberwolves to begin getting Rodriguez and Mark Lore front and center on the team's social media.

Sharing a photo of the new owners on his Instagram story, Edwards replied with the caption: "Congrats Sac (an acronym meaning 'Solid as Concrete')."
Edwards' approval of the new ownership bodes well for his prospects in Minnesota so long as the Timberwolves remain competitive.
Lore and Rodriguez had a sit-down with broadcaster Michael Grady outlining their goals for the franchise.

While they listed many items they want to address, the plan Lore wanted fans to hear the loudest?
"We are not moving the team, ever. We are never moving the team," he reiterated.
They also discussed returning to the Western Conference Finals and becoming a respected and admired organization in the world by building a better franchise that mirrors what fans want.
Lore and Rodriguez were behind hiring former Denver Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly, who has facilitated several trades that have pushed the Wolves into the center of the Western Conference playoffs.

Chisholm rallies Yankees to 4-2 win as New York takes 2 of 3 from Orioles

NEW YORK (AP) — Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a go-ahead, two-run double off the right-center field wall in a three-run eighth inning, leading the New York Yankees over the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 Sunday. New York won its second straight after losing seven of its previous eight games. Advertisement A day after the Orioles were held hitless for seven innings by Clarke Schmidt, Jackson Holliday singled on Will Warren's first pitch, setting up a two-run first that included Ryan O'Hearn's run-scoring single and Colton Cowser's RBI double. Orioles backup catcher Maverick Handley left after being knocked over in the second during a collision at the plate with Chisholm, who scored as his shoes came off on DJ LeMahieu's single against Dean Kremer. Ben Rice singled off Bryan Baker (3-2) leading off the eighth and Giancarlo Stanton's single put runners at the corners. Chisholm doubled and is hitting .350 (21 for 60) with 11 RBIs since returning from the injured list, raising his average to .242. New York boosted the lead when Gary Sánchez dropped shortstop Gunnar Henderson's throw on LeMahieu's grounder, allowing Chisholm to slide across the plate. Advertisement Fernando Cruz (2-3) entered with two on in the eighth and struck out the side, giving him 50 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. Devin Williams pitched around a two-out single in the ninth for his 10th save in 11 chances. In a game that started at 11:39 a.m. to fulfill a Major League Baseball national television contract, Warren gave up two runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings. Key stat New York had been 1-22 when trailing after seven innings. Key moment Baker fell behind Chisholm in the count 3-0, then left a fastball over the plate. Stephanie White Reveals Good News for Caitlin Clark After Roster Decision

Stephanie White Reveals Good News for Caitlin Clark After Roster Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever are heading in the right direction, building one of the best rosters in the WNBA under head coach Stephanie White. Advertisement In White's first year back with the organization, she's joined by Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham. The Fever also had future Hall of Fame forward DeWanna Bonner rostered, but they recently released the first-year Indiana player. Bonner requested a trade and wound up being waived, leading Indiana to sign Aari McDonald, who played with Fever earlier this month on a hardship contract. After signing McDonald, White spoke with the media, sharing her thoughts on the addition of the talented guard. When explaining that she's excited to have McDonald back in the lineup, White mentioned that the move gives Indiana a chance to take some pressure off Caitlin Clark and lets the Fever star play off the ball, giving her more scoring opportunities. Advertisement "Really excited about having Aari back," White said. "Her pedigree, her ability to have the ball in her hands and make plays, not just for herself but for her teammates and the tone that she sets on the defensive end of the floor. When we get C back it gives us the ability to play C off the ball a little bit, take some pressure off of her." While she was signed to a hardship contract with the Fever, McDonald posted 11.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She will be backing up one of the top guards in the WNBA.
