
Intel unveils new Arc Pro GPUs & Gaudi 3 accelerators for AI
Intel has introduced new GPUs for professionals and AI developers and announced wider availability for its Gaudi 3 AI accelerators.
The company unveiled the Intel Arc Pro B60 and Arc Pro B50 GPUs, expanding the Arc Pro product family for AI inference and professional workstation use. These new graphics cards feature Intel's Xe2 architecture, combining Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI cores and advanced ray tracing units. According to Intel, these specifications are aimed at creators, engineers and AI developers who require high memory and scalable performance for demanding workloads.
The Arc Pro B60 and Arc Pro B50 GPUs are designed to address both architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) demands as well as AI inference tasks. The new GPUs offer 24GB and 16GB of memory respectively and allow for multi-GPU configurations. Intel stated that the Arc Pro B-Series is built to offer stability and performance through independent software vendor (ISV) certifications and supports consumer and professional drivers on Windows.
On Linux platforms, the Arc Pro B-Series GPUs incorporate a containerised software stack that simplifies AI deployment. Intel indicated that this stack will be enhanced over time with further features and optimisations, allowing for broader compatibility and performance improvements. The combination of higher memory capacity and targeted software support is aimed at delivering a scalable, cost-efficient computing platform for professionals working with AI and advanced workstation applications.
Intel also revealed a new platform code-named Project Battlematrix, a workstation-class Xeon-based system supporting up to eight Arc Pro B60 24GB GPUs. This configuration provides up to 192GB of video RAM and is designed to support medium-sized AI models with up to 150 billion parameters. Intel asserts that this solution is intended to reduce typical friction points experienced by AI developers working on sizeable model deployments.
Vivian Lien, Vice President and General Manager of Client Graphics at Intel, commented: "The Intel Arc Pro B-Series showcases Intel's commitment in GPU technology and ecosystem partnerships. With Xe2 architecture's advanced capabilities and a growing software ecosystem, the new Arc Pro GPUs deliver accessibility and scalability to small and medium-sized businesses that have been looking for targeted solutions."
Intel plans to begin sampling the Arc Pro B60 GPU through add-in board partners such as ASRock, Gunnir, Lanner, Maxsun, Onix, Senao and Sparkle starting from June 2025. The Arc Pro B50 GPU will be available from Intel-authorised resellers from July 2025.
In addition to the GPU announcements, Intel introduced expanded deployment options for its Gaudi 3 AI accelerators. These will be available both as PCIe cards and in rack-scale system reference designs, with the PCIe cards designed to provide scalable AI inferencing within existing data centre infrastructure. Intel stated that these cards will allow organisations from small businesses to large enterprises to run a range of models, from Llama 3.1 8B to larger deployments such as full-scale Llama 4 Scout or Maverick models, thanks to various scalable configurations. The Gaudi 3 PCIe cards are scheduled for availability in the second half of 2025.
The rack-scale reference designs for Gaudi 3 support up to 64 accelerators per rack, with 8.2TB of high-bandwidth memory. The system employs an open, modular architecture designed to help organisations avoid vendor lock-in and simplify system maintenance, including liquid cooling to manage thermal performance and lower total cost of ownership.
For cloud service providers, Intel noted that Gaudi 3's rack-scale approach supports both custom and Open Compute Project (OCP) infrastructures, offering flexibility and support for large-scale model training and real-time inference.
The announcements coincide with Intel's 40th anniversary of operations in Taiwan. Lip-Bu Tan, Intel's Chief Executive Officer, said: "For the past 40 years, the power of our partnership with the Taiwan ecosystem has fueled innovation that has changed our world for the better. This week, we are renewing our commitment to our partners as we work to build a new Intel for the future. Together, we will create great products that delight our customers and capitalize on the exciting opportunities ahead."
Intel also announced the general availability of Intel AI Assistant Builder, a lightweight open framework for developing and deploying AI agents on Intel-based systems. The software, now available on GitHub, is aimed at allowing developers and partners to quickly build and roll out purpose-built AI agents, with recent examples incorporated by Acer and ASUS. The AI Assistant Builder is designed for use on local AI-capable PCs and, according to Intel, can be customised for organisational requirements and direct customer deployments.
Intel stated that it will present its latest processor and graphics technologies at Computex 2025 in Taipei, including the new Arc Pro and Gaudi 3 products.

Intel unveils Xeon 6 CPUs to boost GPU-driven AI systems
Intel has introduced three new Intel Xeon 6 series processors designed to enhance performance in GPU-accelerated artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The new processors feature Performance-cores (P-cores) and incorporate Intel's Priority Core Turbo (PCT) technology and Intel Speed Select Technology – Turbo Frequency (Intel SST-TF). These features allow for customisable CPU core frequencies, which are expected to support GPU performance across demanding AI workloads. One of the newly released Xeon 6 processors, the Intel Xeon 6776P, serves as the host CPU in the NVIDIA DGX B300 AI-accelerated system. The Xeon 6776P manages, orchestrates, and supports the overall AI-accelerated system within the DGX B300 architecture. With an extensive memory capacity and robust bandwidth, the processor is engineered to cater to the expanding requirements of AI models and large datasets. Karin Eibschitz Segal, Corporate Vice President and Interim General Manager of the Data Center Group at Intel, commented, "These new Xeon SKUs demonstrate the unmatched performance of Intel Xeon 6, making it the ideal CPU for next-gen GPU-accelerated AI systems. This segregation ensures an optimal allocation of CPU resources, which is regarded as crucial for AI tasks that require significant sequential or serial processing. The intent is to enable CPUs to feed data to GPUs more rapidly, streamlining system effectiveness in demanding scenarios. The new Xeon 6 processors with P-cores are built to offer high core counts and improved single-threaded performance. Each processor can reach up to 128 P-cores, aimed at facilitating a balanced distribution of intensive AI workloads across the available cores. Intel reports that memory speeds with the Xeon 6 processors can be 30% faster compared to competing solutions, particularly in high-capacity DRAM configurations. This is supported by both latest MRDIMMs and Compute Express Link standards, which are designed to improve memory bandwidth for data-intensive applications. The processors also offer greater input/output capabilities, providing up to 20% more PCIe lanes than earlier generations. This feature is intended to enhance data transfer rates for input/output-intensive workloads commonly found in enterprise AI and data centre applications. Intel emphasises strong reliability and serviceability features in the design of these new CPUs, aiming for extended system uptime and reduced risk of disruptions to enterprise operations. Additional support comes from Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions, which enable FP16 precision arithmetic for efficient data preprocessing and critical CPU-driven tasks within AI environments. The adoption of these processors is intended for enterprises looking to modernise infrastructure in anticipation of increasingly complex AI workloads. New Zealand's Premier Motorcycle Series Welcomes Official Tyre Supplier
Racers in all categories of next year's Star Insure NZ Superbike Championship Series will be starting out with one thing in common – Bridgestone tyres. The move to a single-make official tyre is one of the key initiatives introduced by promoter Mike Marsden to the new-look series. "It was a big step and one that had to happen in my mind," says Marsden, who took over promotion of the series last year. "The championship was dying and there was a need for big changes to not only boost the profile of the series, but also give riders better value and I am really pleased to now have the support of the paddock on this. "An official tyre was a top priority, and was always going to be a challenge, but we have now achieved that, which is a critical step along the path to the commercial viability and sustainability of the Series. "Bridgestone Moto NZ, through New Zealand importer Whites Powersports, have come on board with a great package, which means riders will be getting cheaper race tyres and a level of service not seen before at the top level.' Marsden says official tyres are a proven model in motorsports worldwide, offering financial stability for a racing series and providing the resources for reinvestment into the sport. As part of the deal, Star Insure NZSBK riders will pay 15% less for the already cost-effective Bridgestone racing tyres, while tyres for the Supersport 150cc class will be free. 'The fundamental outcome for us is to assist in making road-racing in New Zealand cheaper and more accessible to the racing community,' Whites Powersports Group General Manager Adrian Cox says.'We will also provide a consistent supply of stock to ensure a better service and experience for the NZSBK participants.' Bridgestone Moto NZ, through Whites Powersports, are making it fast and easy for racers and track day enthusiasts to access Bridgestone's racing tyre options. As of this week, Bridgestone racing products can be bought on and will be shipped directly to the buyer. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout with a maximum fee of $60, and all tyres sold will incur a regulation Tyrewise Tyre Stewardship Fee, as per Tyrewise requirements. In addition, 2026 Star Insure NZSBK Series entrants will get a further discount on racing products to help create a fairer and more cost-effective series. The special pricing will be available only to those racers with a confirmed NZSBK Series entry. Some competitors are already seeing value from the switch and looking forward to the benefits. Rogan Chandler, who finished third overall in the 2025 Star Insure NZSBK Superbike Series, raced a Bridgestone-shodM1 Motorsport BMW all through last season. "They are certainly competitive," Chandler says. "We were at the pointy end all season. "Of course, some setup changes will be required for most bikes and the riders will have to adapt also, but that's racing. "I'm looking forward to seeing the setup direction people take and what I and the team can learn from the rest of the field." Multi NZSBK Champion Sloan Frost has been using Bridgestone tyres with his son Nixon in the 300 class. "Nixon recently did back-to-back tests with Bridgestone tyres on the 300 and found the bike was more stable without any set up changes which resulted in consistent lap times within 10thsof the lap record throughout an entire day of racing," Frost says."We were so impressed with the tyre that we have decided to compete in Australian championship on Bridgestone's also. "I think it's a great direction for the New Zealand championship to have a constant supply at competitive pricing. "With the consistency of grip level that we see from the Bridgestone tyres we will be able to reduce consumption, waste and costs while maintaining a level playing field." Helicraft Racing's Tyler King and Harriet Grace have also tested the new official tyres at a recent Ruapuna meeting and both were impressed. While team owner Rod Price worked through suspension, geometry and tyre pressure changes on Tyler's MV Agusta 800,Harriet rode her Yamaha R3 without changes. "The tyres were good . . . We think they'll be fine," Tyler says. "The Bridgestone's were great. They felt super grippy and I was very comfortable to push on them – and get a new PB lap!" Harriet says.
