Michael Jordan is officially in vacation mode.
The NBA icon and future NBC Sports contributor recently landed in Sardinia, Italy, for a lavish European getaway with loved ones, including wife Yvette Prieto and their 11-year-old twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, as seen in photos obtained Tuesday by The Post.

Jordan, 62, exited the aircraft in a faded red T-shirt and floral print shorts while Prieto, his wife of 12 years, opted for a white tank top and black sweatpants.

The group later moved from land to sea, where the six-time NBA champion was photographed smoking a cigar in casual threads aboard his megayacht, worth a reported $115 million.
Jordan, who typically vacations in Europe over the summer, shocked the sports media landscape last month when it was revealed he's joining NBC as a special contributor for the network's NBA coverage in the upcoming 2025-26 season.
'The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I'm excited about being a special contributor to the project. I'm looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October,' he said in a statement at the time.

Although details surrounding Jordan's NBC role are scarce, CBNC suggested in May 'the initial plan is for Jordan to appear in taped segments during the season to provide analysis that will air during pregame shows or halftime shows.'

The NBA announced in July 2024 that the league had signed an 11-year media rights agreement with NBC, the Walt Disney Company and Amazon Prime that runs through the 2035-36 season.

NBC has been loading up on talent for its NBA coverage this offseason, tapping Carmelo Anthony as a studio analyst in May. Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller will serve as game analysts while Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle are the play-by-play callers.
Jordan played in the NBA for 15 seasons and won six titles with the Bulls in the 1990s.
A 14-time NBA All-Star and five-time league MVP, he spent the final two years of his Hall of Fame career with the Wizards before retiring after the 2002-03 season.

The 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup is just one year away and organizers feel like they're having a "giant panic attack." Why it matters: Our region's reputation is on the line. The latest: FC Dallas president Dan Hunt shared everything organizers must finish to be ready. "The shot clock is on … it's going to go really fast now," he said during a transportation summit Thursday in Hurst. Hunt is a co-chair of the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee. The big picture: North Texas will host nine matches, the most of any city. The region will have to arrange for security, transportation and lodging for athletes and spectators traveling to the region. 700,000 tickets will be sold for the nine matches at AT&T Stadium, Hunt said. What they're doing: Organizers will have to ensure the stadium meets FIFA's requirements for World Cup venues, including having real grass. They plan to remove the stadium's artificial grass, raise the field and create a new platform on it with sod, sand and soil. The task will require using grow lights and preparing backup fields in case more grass is needed, Hunt said. FC Dallas is renovating Toyota Stadium in Frisco for use as a base camp during the 2026 World Cup. The intrigue: The North Texas FIFA committee has also been helping the World Cup's European organizers understand Texans and their love of tailgating. Between the lines: Organizers in North Texas haven't said much about how they will get athletes, journalists, fans and workers to and from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, a suburban city without mass transit. The tournament's international broadcast center is in downtown Dallas and the fan festival will be at Fair Park. Teams could be stationed as far away as Denton. What they're saying: "My message to FIFA has been very simple: We're going to show you that you made a mistake not picking North Texas for the final," Hunt said.

Thomas Frank was hired as Tottenham's new manager on Thursday as the Dane accepted the daunting task of solving the club's famed inconsistency. Frank arrives in north London with a reputation for tactically astute game-plans and deft man-management skills after an impressive seven-year reign at Brentford. Frank has always been adaptable, clinching promotion with a Championship play-off final success in 2021 despite the departures of Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma. While those achievements are admirable, a host of managers with more impressive feats on their CVs, -- including serial winners Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte -- have found it impossible to succeed at Tottenham.
