Diljit Dosanjh is all set to entertain audiences with his signature flair in the upcoming mystery-comedy Detective Sherdil, premiering on ZEE5 on June 20, 2025. Directed by debutant Ravi Chhabriya, the film promises a rollercoaster of laughs, twists, and suspense, all packed into a family-friendly entertainer.
Set in the stunning backdrop of Budapest, Detective Sherdil follows an eccentric detective on a mission to crack an unusual case. The plot blends sharp wit with mystery and drama, making it a compelling watch for viewers of all ages.
The film marks Ravi Chhabriya's first outing as a director, following his experience assisting Ali Abbas Zafar on big-ticket projects like Sultan, Bharat, and Tiger Zinda Hai. With a strong cast that includes Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Chunky Panday, Ratna Pathak Shah, Banita Sandhu, and Sumeet Vyas, the film adds depth and diversity to its ensemble storytelling.
The story is penned by Ali Abbas Zafar, Sagar Bajaj, and Ravi Chhabriya, making this Zafar's second collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh after their acclaimed 2022 film Jogi.
