Syrian sources reported that violent explosions shook the two provinces on Syria's western coast as a result of the Israeli raids.
Photos circulated by activists and media outlets showed fires breaking out and columns of smoke rising from the sites targeted by the enemy.

Government of Change and Construction is moving forward in implementing its paths to overcome difficulties
Sana'a - Saba: The Government of Change and Construction is working across several tracks, starting with military operations in support of our Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, confronting the Israeli aggression on Yemen and mitigating its repercussions, and continuing development and service efforts, stimulating the economy and development. Members of the Government of Change and Construction and a number of stakeholders have conducted extensive field visits to institutions, agencies, and governorates to closely assess needs and provide them according to availability, this will contribute to improving services provided to citizens, meeting their aspirations, and overcoming the difficulties resulting from the ongoing aggression. Yemeni support for Gaza continues and is escalating despite the criminal Zionist aggression and its targeting of infrastructure. Over the past week, the armed forces carried out qualitative military operations targeting Israeli targets in Jaffa, Haifa, Ashkelon, and Umm al-Rashrash with 14 hypersonic and ballistic missiles, as well as drones. Operations continue to bear fruit, with air traffic halted at Lod Airport, known in Israel as "Ben Gurion," and maritime navigation prohibited to the Israeli enemy, there is no movement of ships associated with it in the Red Sea theater of operations, through Bab al-Mandab, to the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea. Among the forms of Yemeni support are the tribal gatherings and meetings taking place in cities and rural areas, and the mobilization activities that include training, maneuvers, popular marches, military parades, and weekly marches, which reflect the insight and awareness of the Yemeni people and their realization that the battle today is not just the battle of the people of Gaza, but the battle of the entire nation. In the context of support and advocacy, a tweet campaign was also organized on the social networking site "X" to expose the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against children, women, and civilians in Gaza, using the hashtags #Crime_of_the_Century and #Gaza_Calls_You. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, represented by the Fine Arts Sector, in cooperation with the House of Creative Arts Forum, held a four-day art exhibition titled "With Gaza, Our Holidays Are Victories." The exhibition featured 500 paintings by renowned artists and creative talents from summer school students. The paintings expressed the creative spirit of the events taking place in Yemen and the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, they also expressed Yemeni unity, its importance, and its lofty status in the conscience and reality of the Yemeni people. The exhibition is the second organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in implementation of the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction in support of the Palestinian people and national causes. The Fine Arts Sector of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism also organized a cultural morning for summer school students and talented and creative young people, with the aim of raising awareness of the Palestinian cause and encouraging and stimulating the talents of young artists and creatives in the fields of drawing, songs, poetry, writing, recitation, and more. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism seeks to organize cultural programs and activities that contribute to enhancing youth awareness of national and national issues, as well as adherence to religious principles and identity, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and governmental and civil society organizations and institutions, according to a statement by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafei. Salary Disbursement In fulfillment of the Government of Change and Construction's commitment to disburse the full amount of state employee salaries and pension benefits to ensure a level of social and psychological stability for state employees, the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development issued financial reinforcements for April 2025 salaries for all public service units, in accordance with the State Employee Salary Payments Program, which stems from the Law on the Exceptional Mechanism to Support the Payment of State Employee Salaries and Reimburse Small Depositors. For its part, the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions announced the disbursement of the second half of the February 2021 pension to civilian retirees, as part of the temporary exceptional mechanism to support the state employee pension bill, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1446 AH, which guarantees the regular disbursement of retirement pensions, with 12 pension disbursements carried out annually. Summer Courses Conclude Summer courses are an important annual strategic milestone for building awareness and nurturing the next generation. They produce qualified talents to build the future. Last week, the curtain fell on the 45-day activities, with the participation of 2.2 million male and female students in various summer schools, who learned about the Quran, Quranic culture, and beneficial sciences and knowledge. The final week featured scouting shows, creative exhibitions, cultural and sports competitions, closing events, and honoring of distinguished and creative individuals in a faith-based atmosphere that demonstrated a high level of awareness, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to creating a generation armed with knowledge, the Quran, and Islamic ethics. In the same context, the Ministry of Health conducted health and environmental awareness and training activities from Shawwal 14 to Dhu al-Qi'dah 24, 1446 AH, in various summer schools across the governorates, these schools were provided with medicines, emergency medical supplies, hygiene materials, and masks, and students were educated on health issues, most notably personal and public hygiene, combating infectious diseases, proper nutrition, environmental conservation, first aid skills, and proper handling of bleeding and injuries, among other first aid techniques, through a health cadre. Field visits were conducted to 4,708 summer schools in 221 districts across 15 governorates, educating 297,793 students on health and environmental issues. A further 22,231 students were trained in first aid and proper handling of bleeding and injuries, with 3,724 health cadres participating in health and environmental awareness and first aid training. Ports' Resilience The Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation continued its work without interruption, ensuring services and receiving ships, maintaining the flow of essential goods despite the aggression and the destruction of docks, service facilities, and logistics. The port of Hodeidah regained full readiness thanks to national efforts and institutional support, and is now capable of receiving all types of containers and aid. In the context of strengthening partnerships with international organizations and emphasizing the full readiness of the port of Hodeidah as a vital artery and humanitarian facility serving millions of Yemenis, a team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited the port to inspect the damage to its vital facilities as a result of the Israeli aggression and assess the technical and logistical readiness to receive humanitarian aid and essential supplies. The head of the Customs Authority, Engineer Adel Margham, reviewed the measures taken to address the effects of the destruction to customs infrastructure resulting from the aggression and the direct targeting of Hodeidah ports, and to mitigate its repercussions on the workflow and services provided. The meeting also reviewed the level of customs performance and the procedures followed to facilitate the movement of goods and the smooth flow of essential commodities through ports to ensure the local market is covered by these commodities. Sana'a-Aden Road In an effort to alleviate the suffering of citizens and in accordance with the leadership's initiative in Sana'a about a year ago, the Sana'a-Aden Road via Ad Dali' continued to be unilaterally opened. The project, implemented by the Executive Unit for the Establishment, Maintenance, and Development of Public Spaces in the Capital Municipality, includes the rehabilitation and restoration of the main street on the university campus, covering an area of 26,000 square meters. The university will cover 50 percent of the cost, while the municipality will cover 50 percent. The project also includes cutting, filling, compacting, and paving damaged and dilapidated sections of the main street and some side streets on the university campus, as well as adding an asphalt layer to improve services for students and staff and facilitate traffic flow. Currently underway in Taiz Governorate are projects to pave 21 September Street in At Taiziyah District, valued at 262 million and 800 thousand riyals, the project also includes the restoration and maintenance of Al-Aj'oud Road in Mikhlaf in Sharab As-Salam District, valued at 142 million and 500 thousand riyals, the project also includes the restoration and maintenance of the Sharab Ar-Rawnah District Road, Phase II, valued at 116 million and 500 thousand riyals, funded by the local authority. Meanwhile, the Executive Unit in Sana'a Governorate launched the first phase of the Bani Hakam road paving project in Arhab District, the project, which spans 1,100 meters in length and six meters in width, is worth 63 million riyals, funded by the governorate's local authority, this effort is part of the effort to complete infrastructure that contributes to serving citizens and enhancing development, particularly in rural areas. In Al Dhale' Governorate, maintenance work is being carried out on the public road linking Damt and Maris districts in Qa'taba District by the Public Works Sector and the Executive Unit for Road and Public Places Maintenance. A team from the Ministries of Administration and Local and Rural Development, the Interior, the Road Maintenance Fund, and the General Traffic Department, in coordination with Sana'a Governorate Operations, implemented a campaign to remove random speed bumps from main roads, starting with the Sana'a-Dhamar Road. 45 speed bumps were removed from the public road from the Qahazah area to Naqil Yaslah. The campaign will continue until all speed bumps are removed, in accordance with the minutes of the agreement to remove speed bumps on the main roads linking the governorates and the reports of the committees that conducted an inventory of speed bumps on the Sana'a-Hodeidah, Bajil-Ma'bar, Sana'a-Taiz, and Sana'a-Sa'dah roads. Combating Corruption As part of the Government of Change and Construction's efforts to combat corruption, the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission's Board of Directors approved the referral of a number of defendants to the Public Funds Prosecution, which specializes in corruption cases related to money laundering. Updating Neighborhood Plans and Units The local authority in Ibb Governorate is working to complete the procedures for updating detailed and structural plans in its various sectors, in addition to updating the fully constructed and semi-completed neighborhood units issued between 1985 and 2002, and to meet the legal, technical, and financial requirements for updating. the institute's student housing, funded by the Judicial Support Fund, it also intends to establish a "hanger" for an internal kitchen for students studying at the institute as a basic requirement to assist them in their academic and judicial preparation during their studies. Building Staff Capacity The Government of Change and Construction attaches great importance to building and developing the skills and capabilities of the leaders and cadres of state agencies and institutions to enhance performance efficiency, training courses and workshops were held throughout the week in the capital and governorates. The General Administration of Financial Affairs in the Human Resources and Finance Sector at the Ministry of Interior concluded the second training course on "Financial Oversight and Internal Control of Resources and Uses According to the Government Accounting System Guide." Forty-three participants from the administration's staff across the governorates participated in the six-day course, held in cooperation with the Yemeni House for Consulting and Institutional Development. A workshop on the preliminary draft of the National Knowledge and Innovation Index was held in Sana'a, the workshop was organized by the Science, Research, Technology, and Innovation Authority in cooperation with the Central Statistical Organization, the workshop discussed the preliminary draft of the National Knowledge and Innovation Index, its individual and composite sub-indices, and enriched it with suggestions and recommendations from experts from the Authority, the Academic Accreditation Council, the Central Statistical Organization, and UNESCO. Indicators, figures, and information facilitate sound and appropriate decision-making for decision-makers, the Knowledge and Innovation Index contributes to promoting sustainable development and building the knowledge economy that the Yemeni people aspire to, it serves as a strategic roadmap aimed at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the knowledge and innovation system in Yemen and contributing to directing national efforts toward developing this system in an integrated and sustainable manner. Enriching this national index will contribute to improving the quality of education, increasing research output, stimulating innovation and creativity, enhancing competitiveness, contributing to achieving sustainable development goals among various educational, research, and production institutions, and motivating them to develop their knowledge and innovation capabilities. The local authority in Taiz Governorate organized a training and introductory workshop on urban planning and settlements with the aim of preparing 37 detailed model urban plans covering an area of 2,532 hectares in the new city of Taiz, this workshop aims to reduce random construction and community conflicts and promote investment, transparency, and justice during the preparation and implementation phases, the four-day workshop, attended by 40 participants, aims to ensure balanced planning that governs all owners and rights holders. To reinforce the faith-based identity in administrative and professional behavior, a two-day training workshop on the Code of Professional Conduct was held in the Capital Secretariat, the workshop was organized by the Departments of Development Research and Training and Human Resources to train 35 human resources managers in the directorates, and directors of the offices of sector and directorate undersecretaries, on behavioral, ethical, and professional principles and values to advance administrative work and improve the level of performance, the workshop was aimed at developing practical visions that contribute to implementing the contents of the Code of Conduct to develop job performance and the quality of services provided by the government sector to society. The Vocational Training Center for Roads at the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges organized a five-day training course on occupational safety and health, the course aimed to provide safety officers with theoretical concepts of occupational safety and health, familiarize them with potential hazards at work sites and how to control them, and familiarize them with accidents and injuries in the workplace (construction work, asphalt roads, excavation, and cement work) and necessary safety procedures. A training course on training the development executive units of the Taizia Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society concluded in Taiz Governorate, the course was organized by the Bonyan Academy for Training and Rehabilitation as part of the Associations Program, with the participation of 24 trainees. In Sana'a Governorate, workshops were held on the Economic Empowerment Project for Low-Income Families, under the theme "Towards Empowering Low-Income Families for a Decent Life." The goal is to improve the financial and living conditions of low-income individuals and families by providing them with the tools, skills, and resources necessary to increase their income, build their productive capacities, and enhance their financial independence. The project focuses on sustainable development by creating permanent job opportunities and empowering families to manage their resources efficiently, achieving self-sufficiency and participating in development, it also reduces reliance on aid and subsidies, supports the local economy by stimulating small and medium-sized enterprises, and increases capital flow within the community. In Amran Governorate, the first training course for 21 representatives of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families in the directorates concluded. The course was titled "Administrative and Institutional Development of the Authority's Staff." The 12-day course aimed to develop the skills and capabilities of employees, contributing to improved work mechanisms. Pilgrims' Delegation and Evacuation Emergency Plan Sana'a International Airport implemented an emergency plan following the first Israeli airstrike, the plan enabled the evacuation of pilgrims and arrivals from the arrival and departure halls, and the rescue of the crew and ground service personnel, who numbered approximately 50 employees on or near the aircraft, in addition to more than 300 passengers in the airport. During the week, 1,200 pilgrims departed Sana'a Airport via Yemenia Airlines for Jeddah, approximately 800 more pilgrims were awaiting departure before being denied travel due to the criminal Zionist targeting. Alternatives for Boycotting Companies As part of efforts to ensure local market stability and enhance self-sufficiency in poultry products through new import sources that guarantee quality and continuity, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources discussed with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, Sana'a, ways to enhance local poultry production and promote breeds that produce broiler chickens and eggs. The meeting reviewed investment opportunities in this field, localizing the production of breeds, particularly those imported from boycotting companies, and ways to find suitable alternatives that would ensure smooth supply to the market. The meeting approved facilitating registration procedures for alternative companies that meet technical and health standards, as replacements for companies operating in the boycotted countries, it also approved preparing a list of European companies affected by the boycott and proposing approved alternatives for them, the General Administration of Animal Health will oversee this matter. It was agreed to establish mechanisms to compensate for the quantities previously imported from the targeted countries by relying on new sources and expanding localization opportunities in this field. Consumer Attitudes Towards National Products A meeting in Sana'a reviewed a survey on Yemeni consumer attitudes towards national products, prepared by the Yemeni Society for Consumer Protection as part of the implementation of the National Initiative to Support Yemeni Products. The importance of the survey lies in identifying consumer and producer trends and determining their interests, which will contribute to the success of the National Initiative to Support and Develop Yemeni Products. The survey includes five components on consumer attitudes toward local products, both positive and negative, it will be distributed to several governorates, four sectoral studies will be conducted on topics related to local products of various types, as well as a general study conducted by the Federation after analyzing the survey and reviewing its results, an awareness campaign will also be launched to highlight local products and enhance their presence. The general framework of the survey on promoting local production and its importance in achieving food security and generating job opportunities, which will be prepared by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, was also reviewed. Directives for Rapid Disposal of Cases During his visit to a number of prosecution offices in Amran Governorate, Attorney General Judge Abdulsalam Al-Houthi directed the rapid disposal of cases, particularly those involving prisoners, to ensure that legal periods for investigation and detention are not exceeded, and to promptly enter data on cases, prisoners, and seized items and their movement into the case management system. An administrative cadre was provided for them to carry out their role in resolving disputes, achieving justice for citizens, and protecting public funds, state property, and endowments. Coordination between Government Institutions Deputy Minister of Administration and Local Development Nasser Al-Mihdhar and Acting Head of the Tax Authority Wahid Al-Kabsi discussed aspects related to the financial work mechanism, common issues between the two sides, and ways to enhance cooperation to improve performance and meet local and rural development requirements in all governorates and districts. The meeting emphasized that achieving local and rural development is an integrated and collaborative task between state agencies at the central and local levels and community organizations. Emergency Operations Room in Hodeidah In a move aimed at raising the level of preparedness and rapid response to accidents, natural disasters, and emergencies, and enhancing community security, the Civil Defense Emergency and Disaster Operations Room was launched in Hodeidah Governorate. As part of efforts to enhance joint coordination and prioritize emergency interventions in the health sector in Hodeidah Governorate, the Undersecretary of the International Cooperation Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ismail Al-Mutawakil, the Undersecretary of the Governorate, Mohammed Halisi, and a joint UN delegation reviewed the humanitarian situation and health needs at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Hodeidah, the hospital lacks diagnostic equipment and basic medical supplies, suffers from a severe shortage of medicines, and is in short supply of diesel, which is needed to operate generators due to the complete power outage in Hodeidah. As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to strengthen partnership and coordination in implementing emergency interventions and improving the level of health services provided to citizens in Hudaydah Governorate, a joint UN mission reviewed the humanitarian situation and identified possible interventions in priority service sectors (health, water, education, roads, and civil defense) amid the ongoing repercussions of the aggression. Environmental Improvement As part of the Government of Change and Construction's efforts to improve service delivery and quality of life, and as part of a comprehensive afforestation plan, combat desertification, and enhance the urban environment in line with the agricultural identity of Hodeidah, work has begun on a project to plant 10,000 palm trees in the city's main and secondary streets and public parks, this project is funded by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund. The project includes a thoughtful distribution of trees, in keeping with the nature of the streets and parks, it will contribute to reducing temperatures, providing a better environmental climate, and adding an aesthetic touch to the city. As part of efforts to enhance environmental security and achieve sustainable development, the second phase of the Green Belt Project for the city of Hodeidah and its surroundings was launched, the project aims to expand the vegetation cover and enhance environmental efforts. It includes planting 7,000 palm trees and 60,000 trees of various types, including fruit and forest trees, at the main entrances to the city of Hodeidah during the period from May to December 2025, the project is worth 168 million riyals, with joint funding from the private sector, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the governorate. In line with the drive to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote sustainability, work has begun on a solar-powered lighting network project from Al-Gharasi Roundabout to Al-Shaab Park in Hodeidah, Funded by the United Nations Programme for Project Services (UNOPS), the project aims to enhance public lighting and provide a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, and the Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Otaifi, launched the project to address flood damage and protect villages and agricultural lands in Tihama, this project is part of proactive measures to protect villages and lands from flood damage during the current rainy season. Radical Changes in the Capital Municipality Traffic Department The Director-General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashy, has directed radical changes and job rotations in several areas and traffic divisions within the Capital Municipality Traffic Department to improve performance and enhance traffic safety. The directives also stipulated the redistribution of forces and resources, the establishment of longitudinal parking on all streets to reduce congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow, and increased coordination with relevant authorities to improve traffic performance. The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment now offers all 76 of its services through the electronic portal, which has helped reduce complexity and save time and effort for beneficiaries across all economic sectors. The results achieved encouraging results, heralding a promising summer season during which wheat, corn, and legume cultivation will expand. The organization's staff developed four new improved wheat varieties, which were successfully tested in the Qaa' Dhamar and Yarim regions. Their yields ranged between 5 and 6 tons per hectare, in areas such as Al-Jawf, which boast favorable agricultural conditions, yields are expected to reach more than 8 tons. He also inaugurated the spring harvest of potato seeds in the fields of the General Company for Potato Seed Production in Dhamar Governorate, the country has achieved self-sufficiency in this strategic crop, and aspires to export its surplus production of high-quality potato seeds in the future. The company has achieved a qualitative leap in achieving self-sufficiency in potato seeds, it currently produces first, second, third, and fourth generations of local seeds, after Yemen had previously relied on importing sixth and seventh generation seeds from abroad. The Haran Agricultural Nursery in Dhamar Governorate is implementing a afforestation project on the 40-kilometer asphalt road linking Dhamar and Sana'a, this follows the success of the first phase of the project, which included planting more than 2,500 trees in the medians. The Haran Garden Nursery produced 300,000 fruit seedlings this year with support from the Executive Unit for the Management of Agricultural Project and Initiative Funding, and in partnership with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, these seedlings include 150,000 grape seedlings and 150,000 fig, mulberry, and pomegranate seedlings. These seedlings will be distributed to districts and planted in neighborhoods as part of the Green Belt Plan for Dhamar City. The Agriculture Sector in Dhamar established three new nurseries in the districts of Atmah, Al-Manar, and Wasab Al-Ali, with a production capacity of 120,000 seedlings, this is in addition to the production of the central nursery affiliated with the Agriculture Sector in the Rasaba area, which has a production capacity of 100,000 seedlings this year, including 30,000 fruit-bearing seedlings, the coffee nursery in Jabal Al-Sharq also produced 80,000 seedlings of various coffee varieties. The General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension in Dhamar Governorate is implementing a number of research and scientific activities, including a project to improve seed genetic resources, which aims to enhance the productivity of strategic crops, especially grains and legumes. A field day was held for wheat crops in the Al-Qa'mah area of the Manqadha district of Dhamar City, as part of the Farmers' Field Schools project. The goal was to exchange agricultural expertise between farmers and agricultural extension workers, ensuring enhanced efforts to expand wheat, corn, and legume cultivation and translate the goals aimed at achieving food security and self-sufficiency. Fisheries and Animal Wealth In the fisheries sector, the Government of Change and Reconstruction is working to implement activities and projects to advance the sector and develop the volume and quality of production, maintenance and restoration work is currently underway at the fishing port in Hodeidah, a vital artery for the local economy and a source of livelihood for thousands of fishermen and families working in this sector. Account automation and networking between port departments are also being completed to ensure improved infrastructure, development of work mechanisms, and operational efficiency, this will contribute to the advancement of the fishing sector and enhance its role in food security and the national economy. End-of-life value chain projects are being implemented at the central slaughterhouse in Dar Salam, Sana'a, these projects include: 'Rehabilitation and maintenance of the feed factory with a 40% completion rate, restoration and rehabilitation of the slaughterhouse with a 100% completion rate, supply and installation of equipment for the slaughterhouse with a 100% financial completion rate, which is scheduled to arrive via the supplier contractor during the coming period, the project to rehabilitate the sewage treatment plant at the central slaughterhouse with a 20% completion rate, and the project to rehabilitate and restore the central slaughterhouse in Naqam with a 100% completion rate.' Honoring Ras Issa Oil Facility and Port Workers The leadership of the Yemen Oil Company and the Coordination Council of Trade Union Committees honored the workers at the Ras Issa Oil Facility and Port in Al Hudaydah Governorate, in recognition of their steadfastness, dedication, and continuous efforts to maintain the facility's readiness and the continuity of services despite the challenges. The honoring represents a message of loyalty and appreciation to the workers who have demonstrated their professional and national commitment and have risen to the occasion in the most difficult circumstances, following the horrific crime that targeted the Ras Issa facility last month with US airstrikes, which killed more than 85 facility workers and truck drivers. Mass Wedding for the Blind The Yemeni Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Blind in Sana'a celebrated the completion of half of the debt of 80 brides and grooms at the eighth mass wedding for the blind, the event was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and funded by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled. The mass wedding represented a national unity event, bringing together brides and grooms from various governorates, it was part of the association's programs to help blind people who have completed their university studies get married, the wedding was preceded by the distribution of bags containing clothes and perfumes to the blind newlyweds. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Government of Construction and Change, under the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council, provide special care for people with special needs in various aspects of life and enable them to enjoy all their human rights. The Martyrs Foundation, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, also organized a mass wedding for (23) grooms from the sons of martyrs enrolled in the Martyr of the Qur'an School in Saada Governorate, within the framework of caring for the sons of martyrs and their families as part of the recognition of the martyrs' sacrifices and loyalty to them. Health Campaign The National Malaria Control Program and the Hajjah Governorate Health Office launched a campaign to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and control the larvae that cause malaria and dengue fever in the governorate, funded by the Yaman Development Foundation. The campaign includes filling swamps and removing waste in 15 districts in Hajjah Governorate and two districts in Amran, in addition to raising awareness of malaria prevention methods in public facilities, markets, and villages. This is the second campaign; the first targeted 19 districts in Al Hudaydah Governorate, it is accompanied by community mobilization and the revitalization of community initiatives to combat and eliminate breeding sites, it also includes routine and ongoing activities to provide and supply health facilities and community health volunteers at the third level with medicines and test strips, enabling citizens to benefit from free diagnostic and treatment services. Projects Launched at Kuwait Hospital and the Republican Hospital Authority The Heart and Cardiac Catheterization Center at Kuwait University Hospital in the Capital Secretariat launched operations in the Cardiac Catheterization Department, providing care and cardiac catheterization services to Yemeni patients who were unable to afford treatment and travel abroad. The Heart Center at Kuwait Hospital is a beacon of hope for improving cardiac medicine and surgery services in Yemen. The local authority in the Capital Secretariat supported the center's equipment and the purchase of a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization device worth 200 million riyals, it intends to provide further support as part of next year's plan to purchase a modern electrocardiogram device for the center, the first such device in the country. As part of the Republican Hospital Authority's strategy to develop its infrastructure and improve the quality of services provided, ensuring a safe and integrated treatment environment befitting patients, the men's surgery department was opened after being rehabilitated and renovated, and the ventilation, electricity, and water systems were updated, it was also equipped with modern medical equipment to meet the needs of surgical care in the 48-bed department. Service and Development Projects in Bayda The Tender Committee in Bayda Governorate approved tenders for several service and development projects. These included paving Al Gharaq Street in Rada'a City, valued at 52 million and 739 thousand riyals; a maintenance and repair project for the artesian well at the Charitable Kidney Dialysis Center at Rada'a Central Hospital, valued at 2 million riyals; and the construction of a culvert behind the Al Haramain Station in Al Bayda City, valued at 17 million riyals, to divert rainwater to agricultural lands. The committee approved assigning the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Maintenance to implement the Al-Amn Street paving project in Al-Bayda city, covering an area of 6,000 square meters, at a cost of 133 million riyals, and referring the necessary work to complete the paving of Al-Arif Lathil Road in Naaman District to the technical committee. Raisin Smuggling Foiled To strengthen customs measures to combat smuggling and support local products, the Afar Customs Center thwarted an attempt to smuggle 1.33 tons of foreign raisins, which were tightly concealed in bags inside banana cartons. Vocational Products Exhibition An exhibition of products from graduates of vocational programs under the Rural Savings and Finance Project was opened in Al-Maraw'ah District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, this exhibition culminated in the outcomes of vocational and craft rehabilitation programs targeting young men and women in the district, with the aim of enhancing economic empowerment, expanding employment opportunities, and stimulating community-based productive initiatives. Honoring Outstanding Tax Officers The Tax Office in Al Hudaydah Governorate honored outstanding tax officers who contributed to improving performance and collection efficiency and achieving compliance indicators that reflected their professional commitment and discipline, this honoring was based on the results of the 2024 technical evaluation. Scientific Conferences As universities continue to witness scientific research, the Fifth Scientific Conference of the Yemeni Society of Otorhinolaryngologists (Symposium on Otorhinolaryngology) was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana'a University (Department of Otorhinolaryngology). The two-day conference discussed working papers on otolaryngology diseases and presented the latest research and developments in this medical specialty, enriching the knowledge of specialists and supporting medical practices in this field. The Cardiac Catheterization Center at Kuwait University Hospital organized a scientific meeting on cardiovascular diseases. The meeting reviewed 16 scientific papers and studies on how to recover from sudden cardiac arrest in athletes, how to diagnose and treat it, the meeting also featured presentations of cardiac catheterization cases, raising awareness among physicians about the importance of imaging in accurate diagnosis, how to treat high blood pressure in elderly patients, pregnant women, and those with heart disease, and how to use blood thinners in patients with arterial disease. Illegal Wells Filled in Ibb The General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities in Ibb Governorate, in coordination with security agencies and local authorities, carried out a field campaign targeting illegal wells in the As-Sabra district, the campaign resulted in the filling of 12 hand-dug wells that had been dug haphazardly and without the necessary legal permits, these wells had caused significant damage, most notably environmental pollution and the depletion of groundwater reserves, as well as conflicts between citizens. Development Action Paths Based on the Government of Change and Construction's program, the integrated development model, and national action policies aimed at achieving self-sufficiency, reducing the import bill, and encouraging local production, the Planning Sector in the Capital Municipality launched development action paths in the model districts of Old Sana'a, Ma'in, and Bani Al-Harith. The Secretariat has prepared a comprehensive plan that includes key areas, priorities, and developmental and pivotal objectives, as well as studies analyzing the economic, social, and environmental situation in the model districts, it also includes the challenges, problems, and development paths in each district, as well as strategic development imperatives. Mechanisms for the Capital Cleaning Project The Capital Municipality launched the new equipment and machinery for the cleaning project, funded by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), at a cost of 574 million riyals. This project falls within the framework of the partnership and cooperation between the Capital Municipality and the UNOPS office in service areas. The new equipment includes five shredders and four large 24-ton dump trucks, supported by 360 million riyals from the Fund and 214 million riyals from UNOPS, these new equipment will contribute to enhancing performance and improving cleaning efforts. U.S. Rejects "Hamas" Response Emphasizing Rights of Palestinian People
Washington - (Saba): The United States, through its special envoy, Steven Witkoff, rejected on Sunday the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)'s response to the latest US proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, deeming it "totally unacceptable." Hamas, however, confirmed that it had submitted its response to mediators after a round of national consultations, stressing that "the content of the response reflects its commitment to a permanent ceasefire, a comprehensive withdrawal of enemy forces from Gaza, and ensuring the unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid, in addition to a prisoner exchange agreement that includes the release of ten living Israeli prisoners and the return of the bodies of 18 others, in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners," according to Quds Press. For their part, the resistance factions clarified in a joint statement that they "worked diligently on a formula to halt the famine, provide shelter, end the genocide, and pave the way for a state of stability that preserves the dignity of our people." They emphasized that "since the beginning of the war, no real plan has been presented to them to halt the aggression or guarantee the basic rights of the Palestinian people." The enemy forces reneged on the January 19 agreement, brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, and resumed their aggression on March 18, continuing their policy of genocide.
