Two men have been convicted of murdering a man during a fight in a Rotherham car park.
Lee Davies, 38, from Rotherham, died in hospital after being stabbed during an altercation on Drummond Street on 8 June 2024.
A jury found Simon Welsh, 37, of Doncaster Road, Rotherham, and Jake Shaw, 27, of Canklow Road, Rotherham, guilty of the murder after a three-week trial.
They will both appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 19 June for sentencing.
Welsh was also found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent, relating to an incident from November 2023.
Another man, Martin Shaw, 46, of no fixed abode, was also on trial for murder but was found not guilty.
Mr Davies' family released a statement following the verdict. They said: "Today we feel that justice has been served and we welcome the guilty verdict placed upon the defendants.
"Losing our son Lee Peter Davies has taken an enormous toll on our family.
"He will be missed beyond measure, especially by his two young children who now have to grow up and navigate life without a father."
They added: "We would like to thank the jury, the heroic witnesses who came to court and the investigation team for their time and efforts and a special thanks to the prosecution team, the OIC and SIO and our family liaison officer.
"We now ask that we are afforded the time to grieve for Lee privately knowing that his murderers are going to be punished appropriately."

PC spared jail after sexually touching victims

A trainee police officer found guilty of sexually touching two women on a night out has been sentenced. Charlie Valente, 24, from Leeds, was given a two-year community order with 200 hours unpaid work at Leeds Crown Court. The West Yorkshire Police student officer was found guilty in May of three counts of sexual touching following an incident in November 2022. The force said Valente had been suspended from duty pending a misconduct hearing. Passing sentence Judge Andrew Stubbs told Valente: "You were drunk, boorish and believed you were untouchable as a sexual predator. You felt in a position to dominate the victims. "One of the victims was so drunk she did not know what was happening, but you continued even when she showed she was not interested. "During the trial, one of the victims described the impact of your actions on her personal life that she has been having to rebuild because of what you did to her, so these are serious offences." He told Valente that he "may seem sorry now, but he didn't seem sorry for what he did" during his trial. However, he noted that Valente had "matured considerably from the drunken 22-year-old he was" at the time of the incident. As well as the community order, he was told he would have to carry out a 90-day alcohol rehabilitation programme and 20-day rehabilitation programme. He was also ordered to pay £8,000 towards the cost of the case. Speaking after Valente was found guilty, Det Ch Supt Tanya Wilkins said: "What was reported to the police by the first victim was a pattern of behaviour by this student officer over the course of a night out that has made her extremely uncomfortable, including unwanted sexual touching. "As part of our enquiries, we reviewed CCTV and established that there was also a second potential victim. "She was identified and spoken to and again confirmed that she had not consented to the sexual touching she was subjected to." Police investigate alleged attack after fox death

An investigation is under way into a report that a fox was attacked after being hit by a car. A vehicle is said to have hit the animal on Dorchester Road, Hull, at about 22:50 BST on Saturday. Humberside Police said it received a report that, soon afterwards, another motorist removed the fox from the middle of the road and tried to kill it. The force said "a volunteer from a wildlife rescue group attended and the fox was subsequently transported to the vets", but it died. A spokesperson for Hull Wildlife Protectors said it was "deeply disturbed" by the incident, which happened near the junction with Ilchester Close. They said it was contacted by a member of the public who remained at the scene until volunteers arrived. When they got there, the "visibly upset" caller told them that some people had got out of the vehicle and dragged the fox off the road by its hind legs. One of them got a knife from the vehicle before cutting the fox's throat and leaving the scene, the wildlife group said it was told. The spokesperson said: "Despite this brutal action, the fox was still alive when HWP volunteers arrived." The animal died on the way to a veterinary surgery. The BBC has been shown video footage of a fox with what appears to be a large wound to its throat. Police are appealing for witnesses or people with footage to get in touch with them.
